is version downgrade is possiable from solman 7.1 SP 11 to solman 700 SP 18?

Hi gurus,

         We are getting this error when we are trying connect the manage system through the solman 7.20

         System details :   R3 system is in Windows server 2003, MSSQL 2000 kernal version 640 and patch level 247.

                                    The solman system is in windows 2012 , MSSQL 2012 and kernal 720 patch level 600.

          the questions

           1) is it possible to downgrade to solman version and which will support MSSQL 2000 ?

           2) is there any other alternative way for this error without downgrade?
