Dear SolMan experts,
We have currently the following problem.
An SAP system with associated Diag-Agent is running on a logical hostname (logserv01) that is currently associated to a physical host (physerv02).
Originally in SOLMAN_SETUP, managed system configuration, hosts, we have only setup logserv01.
Now we want to switch to agent-on-the-fly.
However it is not possible to run managed system configuration for the physical server physerv02.
We have made several attempts, all of them did not work out:
- smdsetup changeservername
- smdsetup managingconf
- smdsetup sldconf
- in managed system configuration, remove the link for the logical server logserv01
- restart DAA agent
At the end the problem was that the DAA agent still showed up with hostname "logserv01", and we did not find a way to change this. This has to be "physerv02" to work out!
Any suggestions?
