Hello all,
We're having some problems connecting a remote (SAP) DB2 database in DBACOCKPIT (and also when we configure the managed system).
The connection has been defined in DBCON, but the connection test in DBACOCKPIT gives this result:
The full error message is "SQL1092N The requested command or operation failed because the user ID does not have the authority to perform the requested command or operation. User ID: "SAPSERVICE<SolMan SID>", so the service user of the Solution Manager is named. This strikes me as strange since the db2<sid> user is set in the connection. Why would the service user of Solution Manager need rights on the remote system?
When configuring the managed system, we also enter all connection data in step "Enter System Parameters" for the DBACOCKPIT connection (host, dbname, port, dbuser and password), but this fails with the same error.
The dbsl library and the DB2 client have been setup as per note 1267189, and the system indicates that (at least) the DBSL lib is found. Solution Manager is 7.1 SP10. Please advise.
Kindest regards, Wilbert
