Hello solman experts,
we already use one central Solution Manager with several systems. No one of our customer plans to install its own Solution Manager and wants to set up the MAI there.
Is there any possibilty to forward all the MAI related alerts, etc. from this central Solution Manager to the Solution Manager of customer? If yes, how can this be established?

i would like to have a textfield with an URL embeded into the Incident UI
So far i managed to create the Char-Field and fill it with the URL
Unfortunately the generated Fields are limited to 60 Chars, but i need 100 for the URL with all parameters to work.
At the Moment the URL is truncated to 60 chars which leaves the link unfunctional
Any Ideas would be appreciated.

Has anyone tried adding new step to create Service Request guided procedure in ITSM?I have an Idea 
, Create Service Request screen has, by default, 3 steps.
1. Select Categot
2. Enter Service Request Data
3. Confirmation
Would not it be nice if there is one more step called "4. Attachments" ( as seen in Incident creation screen) ? We get Aattachment tab inside a Service Request ticket after it got created, not during a creation? How could SAP be missing this in standard Service Request feauture? 
Any thoughts ???

There are no details like in the sample EWA report I found on service.sap/ewa. Is this report OK , and if not, what should I configure?

Hello all,
In the SOLMAN system,i am not able to authorize any CD's. It is consistently giving me a error message : " You do not have a valid business partner assigned to your user" whereas i do have a valid business partner assigned. When i goto transaction "BP" and give my BP-number i can see that under the identification tab,i have two ID's created for me...One ID is with a space at the end and the other ID is without a space. I deleted the ID with the space but still i am unable to authorize CD's. Kindly help and all suggestions are welcome.

We have configured the BP structure in solar01 and we have also maintained the interface scenarios.
When I am trying to assign an interface for the business structure in component view, the interfaces I created are visible but I am not able to select and assign it.
I have maintained all the involved logical components in the project.

J2EE_ADMIN is locking periodically. I have a J2EE_ADMIN password and it is correct. I can logon both Java side and ABAP side of Solman.
When i checked SM59 i couldnt find anything for it.
I have check report SU01 "Change Document For User" below; i am periodically Unlocking it.
What could be wrong ?

I have a solution manager 7.1 system running with SAP EPH2 for Netweaver 7.0.
Now I want to upgrade this system to the latest available patches using Mopz.
When selecting the Solution manager 7.1 product in Mopz I get a warning in the Log tab
"Installed instance of Product Version SAP SOLUTION MANAGER 7.1 does not include NW Stack 08 (06/2011)"
If I continue and select "Maintenance option" for SAP Solution manager I can select the target stack 13 (03/2015)
and mopz also calculates that it needs stack 16 (07/2014) of SAP EHP2 for netweaver 7.0, but when I go ahead and
download the stack it does not include the Netweaver upgrade.
Can anyone please help me out here?

We are facing an issue with solution manager 7.1 Sp11 system. All the dialog work process are occupied by SM_EXTERN_WS user.
Workprocess are in running state, & writing entries in different tables. As all the Dia processes are occupied system performance degraded, response time is very high & users have to wait for long to access any transaction.
Can you help if it is possible to limit the use of SM_EXTERN_WS user or related functionalities to few workprocess instead of increasing the no. of wp.

I've been trying to register my HANA database in SLD but every time I run the command sapdbctrl status H00 -t hdb I get the error Database type hdb is not supported or unknown. I have tried upgrading SAP Host agent up to patch number 201 but even at that level I still receive the same error. Even with setting the LD_LIBRARY_PATH and being a root user the error occurs for me and I was wondering what could be the issue with my configuration.

In the WEB_UI i want to open a new RfC (ZMCR). This is not possible.
I get the Error Message:

I tried to get CBTA working.
And alhough I did the setup like in the wiki documet ( also including applying actual notes) and everything is green in the Solman Setup, I cannot start a recording.
I also switched on the scripting options to notify on attaching or opening a connection.
The behavior is like this:
My user in Solman and technical user in SUT do not show an authorization problem.
ST05 trace in SUT for technical users shows logs, so it is acessing the SUT ( technical user is a service user).
Function TAO_CHECK_AUTHORIZATION on SUT does not report missing authorizations for requested for role SAP_TST_AGENT_RFC, SAP_WDA_TST_RFC (as we are using a copies of roles).

My assuption is that the setup is somehow wrong in a way that the recording script does not know where to log on (system is empty in popup).
But from which field is this information taken? From the SUT Systems in the CBTA? Or does the naming of the systems in SAPLOGON has to be similar? (The system id in saplogon is unique for the SUT). Or is the Saplogon versin wrong?
So I'm going to have a frustrated lunch.

After the Rfc approval procedure work flow setting in SPRO, getting the below error. mail is not triggering from Approval workflow.
Also i checked the below link, but i am not able to find the figure out the exact issue.

In So01-> outbox shows error in the status
I cross checked all the setting , but Rfc approval worflow is not coming to inbox. Still it showing error in outbox status.

Hi Experts,
Currently testing Normal Change scenario in SOLMAN 7.1 with SP12 got stuck in TO BE TESTED Phase as i am not able to schedule Import job for transport requests through SCMA because SCHEDULE option is gray out(i.e not editable) and also i tried to manually run the report /TMWFLOW/SCMA_TRORDER_IMPORT resulting NO DATA FOUND.
On the other hand I can process Urgent change with out any issue.
maintenance cycle(i.e M00000001) is in DEVELOPMENT WITH RELEASE phase.
Kindly help how can i schedule this job to go ahead

Hi,
I am doing some debugging to find out how solution_workcenter is getting it's alert information from the managed system. I understand it is a blackbox but I need to get an idea of how the extraction framework works. Which background jobs are going to the managed system and causing the queries to run in the SSA/EKP etc. programs and pulling out the alert count?
Any pointer in the direction of helping me deep dive into BPMon on MAI extraction framework would be appreciated.
