test management automation framework using ecatt

Hi Team,

 

Actually we want ecatt test automation to be done using solution manager(SMC) in one managed system(EIC).

 

We created system data container(zsdc_01),test scrpit(ztest_me21n) in managed system EIC.We assigned ecatt rfc in system data container also.

We assigned test script as test case for particular business process in solar02 tcode in solman system as shown below

In solman system(SMC),In STWB_2 tcode We created test plan,test package and regenerated them .

 

Now in solman system, in tcode stwb_work when we are trying to execute this test package we are getting the below error,PLEASE SUGGEST NEEDFUL,we are waiting for your valuable reply

Not all transports request yet released - CHARM status change to pass to test

Hi,

 

We have implemented CHARM for our ECC landscape DEV/QAS/PRD and solution manager 7.1 SPS10.

Once the request for change is created and approved and released for development. Developer puts it in development and once the development is complete when he is trying to "PASS changes to test" the process runs for some time and gives the following message.

 

"Not all the transport request yet Released"

"Status was reset by System"

 

But when I check all the task under the transport request are released. Once I select the "recheck transaction" and try to change the status second time to "Pass change to test" and successfully releases and import the request to QAS system.

 

Not sure why it is not doing the first time and second time when I am doing the recheck transaction and try again it works perfectly fine.

 

please help in resolving the issue.

TechMon - Workmode Management - Update of Calender? (SCAL)

I have a question which hopefully somebody knows.

I have scheduled workmodes for 3 years considering holidays out of the company-calender (SCAL).

 

If I add a holliday to the Calender of SCAL, does the workmode gets updated considering the new holliday?

Add mandatory documents to RFC

Hello,

 

I already created my own transaction for a change request (ZMCR) and created a System Template which I can insert as a template.

Now I don't want to pick this document manually all the time and would like to set it as a standard which is already added to the RFC if I create a new one. I haven't found a discussion about it, so I hope that someone can help me with this and that this is even possible in SAP.

CCMS vs MAI

Dear SCN members,

I have enabled the monitoring  in SOLMAN 7.1.

Alerts are sent but now I'm missing the CCMS funtionality where in the subject I could identifiy the SID ID.....

Within MAI 7.1 i receive in subjet something like "ABAP System not available" but the SID ID is missing

 

 

How can I enter the SID in subjectt using variables in the alerts?

Solution manager installation stalls at phase 18 -import java dump

Hi,

 

I am installing Solmon 4.0 SR1 in windows 2003 server with MSSQL 2005 SP1.

The installation stalls at phase 18 (i.e) import java dump.No errors have been reported in any of the log files. Its in the same phase for the last 16 hours. I have checked the system process in task manager and the processes were running fine. In the status bar it shows " INFO:table CAF-RT_TYPNSP created".

 

Now i dont have an idea is this an error or not? can i restart the installation? throw some light on it.

SMD Agent Offline at Agent Administration

Hello

 

I've installed a SMD Agent in one host pointing to my QA Solution Manager. The installation was successfully and I've also installed the host agent with success. The agent started correctly in the OS and I can see the process through tme command ps -ef| grep daa. But when I go to the transaction SOLMAN_WORKCENTER in the option Agent Administration the agent is offline and whecn I go to the tab Agent connectivity there is a message "Unable to find Agent <hostname>".

 

What is happening and how can I fix this?

E2E Trace Analysis for EEM

Hello solman experts,

what is the prerequisite to have E2E Trace Analysis for EEM scripts?
In some cases it is possible to jump from EEM Monitoring UI into E2E Trace Analysis.

In other cases this function "Go to E2E Trace Analysis.." is gray out.

Hi experts, i'm running solman_setup to get a new solman system working, but in the phase Check secure web browser  comm. (https) i don't know what manual activities i have to do, i have searched in the community, checked the documentation and i didn't find anything to know what to do here. Will this step impact in a later step or system malfunctioning ? Can i safely skip it? does any of you have any suggestions of what to do?

 

I would appreciate your help.

I can't find documentation about Survey Forms, and start configuration independently, but i have issue when open survey template via WebUi,

How to test that auto-notifications in Alerts inbox is working

Dear colleagues,

 

I have configured mails to be sent by Solution manager and also auto-notifications for Alerts is enabled.

How can I test that once there is alert available mail notification will be sent automatically in order to state that configuration is successfully done?

ITSM End User Incident Search Option

We are implemented ITSM Incident Management and for the End Users we want to provide the authorization only to create the new incidents and also need to have the search option for tickets raised by them.

 

As like below we need to do

 

IT Service Management ->  Incidents

sca dependency analysis

Hi All

 

J2EE ENGINE FRAMEWORK 7.31 SP12 Patch 15 is the target version , current version Patch 10,

 

 

For patching activity , When I started checking in market place , with  yellow rectangular  icon with an exclamation mark appears indicating SCA dependencies for the requested Java download object, intern the dependent patches of each patch and it goes on and on....

 

 

its very confusing to sort all these dependent patches ...

 

 

I have gone through the note  1974464:SMP: Information on SCA Dependency Analysis for Java download objects

 

 

But I did not find any solution here which am looking.

 

 

My question : Is there by any  method , how to calculate the dependent SCAs of each object and how

 

 

to sort them in a easy way,

 

 

also I did go through service.sap.com/uda , but did not find the answer for my question.

Alert Notification from Root Cause Analysis not possible

Hello Community,

 

I'm using a Solution Manager 7.1 SP12. I'm monitoring the Application Log (SLG1) from a remote system.

The monitoring is working, but the notifications are not sent per Email(Yes Email is working, we're using it in many other functions )

After saving the setting(as seen on the second screenshot) and re-entering the configuration wizard, the notifcation setting disappeard.

I implented the note 2052221 but the problem still persists.

 

Here a screenshot from the Alert Consumer for notification:

As you can see, the usage-list is empty...

Open incidents related to test cases using ZMIN and WEB UI

Dear experts,

 

I was hoping you could clarify this for me.

 

When using SLFN for incident reporting during user tests, it's possible to open a ticket accessing the "Messages" tab in STWB_WORK:

Clicking this would open a pop-up to report the error, which came already filled in with some information regarding the test case:

But now we're using ZMIN and the web UI.

So my question is: is it possible to open a browser with the web interface for creating messages instead of the "old SAP GUI pop-up" when I click the "New message" button? Preferably with the same "technical information" about the test case already filled in.

 

What I'm trying to do here is relate the incidents to the test cases.

Production Import CHaRM

Hi,

 

One of the customer is asking is to stop the Manual activity of changing the project status to " Go-live" for Normal Change import into PRD.

He says if my Testing is successful in QAS then Import Job should automatically import the TR into PRD but as per standard Procedure we have to set the status to " Go -live".

 

Is there a way to disable this project status Check so that only those NC's which has status Successfully Tested be automatically imported into PRD.

Authorization issue in ITSM

Hi,

 

I am configuring ITSM on Solution manager 7.1 SP 4. We have decided to use solution manager's CRM web UI  platform.

 

The problem i am facing is, when i attached authorization role to the person who is going to create Incident, i am not able to see any service(CRM web UI is also empty i.e. navigation bar is empty).

 

I have done following configuration steps.

 

1. Start transaction Upgrade Tool for Profile Generator (SU25).

a) Choose Installing the Profile Generator -> Initially fill the customer tables.

 

b) In transaction Auth. Object Check Under Transactions (SU24), verify the traces.

Select Type of Application: External Service.

Select Type of External Service: UIU_COMP.

In the External Service field, enter: ' * '.

In the Selection Result list, selected any service at random by double-clicking it to check, and it is fine.

 

2. Copy standard Business Role "SOLMANPRO" to "ZCREATER".

 

3. Copy Navigation bar profile "SOLMANPRO" to "ZCREATER" , performed customization and attached to business role "ZCREATER".

Also assigned this Business role to Org. structure position.


4. Executed report "CRMD_UI_ROLE_PREPARE" and given the business role "ZCREATER" as input.

 

5. Create New Authorization role by importing the file which was generated in step 4.

 

6. While generating the profile for this new role i got one error "too many values in field of object S_SERVICE.

And i deactivated this object. and then attached to the user.

 

7. Then, executed report "CRMD_UI_ROLE_ASSIGN" and enter the User ID.


In the output everything is ok and i got the message as role has been assigned to the user id.


But, After login with that ID, i am not able to see any service under Favorites.

 

I have gone through few blogs but not able to find any solution.

I think, as i had deactivated object S_SERVICE i am facing this issue.

charm mail notification for every change in document
