Solution Manager 720 SETUP

Hi,

 

We have installed a new Solution Manager 7.2 system.

 

Have read and trying to follow the blog:

After completing the Solution Manager 7.2 ABAP (SMN) and Java (SMJ) stack installations, finished the standard post-steps for the ABAP part, for SMN system.

 

Now, we created a maintenance planner transaction, generated stack.xml to update the system from SPS00 to SPS02 stack of SolMan 720 release.

 

SUM will now throw error with the generated stack file. The problem with the stack generated by me is, both the initial and target levels on the stack are showing at target level only! So we are unable to continue with the stack update.

 

Even trying to complete the Solution Manager Setup leads to errors:

When trying to perform SOLMAN_SETUP, encounter error ‘ERROR: Syntax error in program CL_DIAGLS_LMDB_FACTORY========CP. (termination: RABAX_STATE)’.

 

Checked notes 2236044 & 2240466, aren’t valid for our release, as we on ST 720 SP00 level.

 

Even the transaction LMDB throws error, “ERROR: Syntax error in program CL_LMDB_BO_TS=================CP. (termination: RABAX_STATE)”

 

How do I proceed from here!?

ChaRM: No RFC destination for the TMS domain controller of system

Hi all,

 

we have ChaRM successfully up and running in our landscape. We setup initially on a Solution Manager development system SMD (using separate clients in the development system as managed systems) and then on a Solution Manager production system SMP (connected to our actual managed systems).   This has been successfully managing our Change Management process using the SMP system for quite some time now.

 

However we have since gone back to use our SMD system to test setup of some changes to configuration and roles, this system is now not working.  The only change that we have made from when it was working is that we have changed the domain controller from SMD (development) to SMP (production solution manager). 

 

The landscape for our SMD system is:

 

SMD320 --> SMD321 --> SMD322 --> SMD324

[Managed by Solution Manager ChaRM on SMD300]

 

Now in our ChaRM projects (old and newly created) we get the following errors around the RFC destination to the TMS domain controller.  We didn't expect to have any activities following change of domain controller, however tried to refresh the projects, create new projects, redistribute TMS, checked TMS RFCs, checked SMSY that the correct domain is listed in SMD and SMP.

 

We even have manually created all the RFCs from SMD300 to SMP000 client to no avail (we purposely haven't setup SMP as a managed system to avoid conflict).

 

Has anyone experienced similar issues or any idea on how to resolve this?  Any suggestions would be welcome

Solman 7.1: Download EarlyWatch Alert to Filesystem

Hello,

 

we would like to share the weekly EarlyWatch Reports with other divisions. And we don't want to send the EWA's to each user as a mail attachment. Users should have a look into a defined shared directory, where they can find the EWA's.

 

So, how can we automate the download in a directory of the server, for example /usr/sap/SID/DVEBMGS00/work? This can be a txt, doc or html file.

Via SOLMAN_WORKCENTER - System Monitoring - Reports each Report can be shown and can be send as email. Which reports do this, which reports are involved?

Solution Manager 7.1 EP13

Hi Everyone,

 

We have a Solution Manager 7.1 EP13 in our landscape and we want to take advantage of the Hybrid Monitoring it offers. However we also have a SAP R/3 4.6C system in our landscape which we would also like to monitor via Solution Manager. Is this possible with Solution Manager 7.1 EP13 or do we in fact have to use an older version of Solution Manager? Are there any requirements for our R/3 4.6C system?

creating support message from R/3 field reported by doesn't fill

Hi all,

 

I am trying to create a support message via R/3 from Help->Create Support message and in the field reported by does not copied at the support message.

When i try to create the message from solman by the same menu root Help->Create Support message, the field reported is filled with my solman username.

 

I would like the field reported by  to be  filled from R/3 username when i create the message from R/3

 

Any suggestions??

Using SharePoint as Content Server - Need

Hello,

 

A customer is using Sharepoint to store all the documentation related to applications.  Now they have decided to use Solution Manager for the project management.  They want to discuss the advantages or not of moving all the documents into Solution Manager, whether they will loose some good features from Sharepoint. Also, do you find any issue, restriction regarding keeping all the documentation in the external Sharepoint, and just linking through URLs. 

 

I would like to get your point of view regarding this integration, any experience, recommendations?

 

I appreciate your inputs so that we have a good base for the discussion with the customer.

Basic Configuration Step 3: Configure CA introscope - Path is missing

Hi all,

I am facing following issue in step Configure CA Introscope of Basic Configuration I can not enter path to EM installation

 

If I go via Solution Manager Administration - Infrastucture and Introscope - Start embedded I can see and enter path

 

 

but EM is not discovered/appears

 

 

 

EM is running ... permissions for daaadm also ok.

Any ideas, tips?

How to find all unchanged test cases in SolMan?

   we are using Test Management in SAP SolMan 7.1, now my client want to have a list / evaluation of all Test cases available on SolMan which were not changed (content, document, description, etc.) from a specific time period / frame.

 

Would you please advice?

Filtering change document by workbench/Customizing request - ChaRM

Hello Experts,

 

We are using Change Request Management (ChaRM) for moving transports in our landscape. We now have a requirement to filter/track change documents (Normal Changes) by the type of transport request that is created. We need this because, we are following different procedure in status changes for change docuemnts based on the type of Transport request (Workbench/Customizing).

 

Please let me know if this is possible in some way. Any suggestions on this front will be greatly helpful to me.

SUM stuck in phase MAIN_SHDCRE/SUBMOD_SHDDBCLONE/DBCLONE

Hello,

 

I'm facing a problem with the upgrade of a support package stack in solution manager 7.1 with Windows / Sybase.  I'm upgrading from SPS08 to SPS10 and the upgrade is stuck in the phase MAIN_SHDCRE/SUBMOD_SHDDBCLONE/DBCLONE for about 3 days.  The log DBCLONE.LOG keeps updating almost like once a minute and it shows the following message:

ITSM - Service request template

Hello experts,

I have started with exploring of solution manager itsm possibilities. I would like to define values in Service request template which should be applied to created service request. The main goal is to assign same priority, service team and knowledge articles to same problems, eg. Password reset which I´m trying to do now. I´ve proceeded in accordance with Service request management and service request fulfillment guide (Version 1.0, June 2012).

 

Firstly, I created Service Request template with a values we would like to apply to all password reset request, I also created and attached knowledge article to this template. Then I assigned this template as well as knowledge article to Password Reset in  Categorization Schema. If I use Password Reset Guided Procedure in Service Request part of GUI, description got overwritten from template, but the problem is,that after sending a request, other fields as Service Team, Knowledge Article etc.. are not affected. To make it easier I´m attaching printscreens.

solman_setup show blank page with certification error

Hi ,

 

I am install sap solution manager 7.2 (abap only) .

when I run solman_setup it's open browser with blank screen with https certification error .

My question in previous version like 7.1 by default solman_setup open http and port by default 8000 now it's open https and port 50001.

if it's require certification from solman 7.2 then how to configure it  and where to find installation guide including post installation activities.

I would like to ask, what is the simplest way how to add assignment block in CRM UI in Solution Manager. I would like to add this Attachment block ,which is available through Create Service Request to one of our Service Request guided procedures which are available for users with limited authorization. The goal is to upload a .pdf from guided procedure.

While creating TR under an Urgent Correction CD (Maintenance Project with phase 'In Dev with Release'), user is not able to create TR due to the following error:

 

Unable to find task /TMWFLOW/SCMA_TRORDER_CREATE for type D of system role

 

Kindly help me in identifying the root-cause of this issue.

Hi All,

 

I'm configuring Solution Manager 7.1 SP4 and I've already completed System Preparation and Basic Configuration steps without any errors.

Now I'm trying to configure Managed System Configuration step but I don't know where I should start and what exactly I need to do.

Can anyone suggest any run book concerning this Step?

 

It gives me this errors.

New User Status available for all user status

Hi Experts,

 

I have a requirement to create a new user status - say "Pending" which will be available to choose at any user status.

 

I created the status after "New" and is visible when the incident status is New, but once the status is changed to any other status like inprocess or forwarded to the created status - Pending is not available to set. I have update the lowest and Highest numbers to the min and max - 10 to 50.

I think missing some additional customization. Could anyone help to point out.

ChaRM Mails to multiple receipients

Hi,

 

We have configured ChaRM in Solman 7.1 with SP 13 system.

 

Automatic email notifications are generated when there is a change in status in the CD.

We have used custom Smart Forms for email content.

For our configuration the mails that are send are one to one.

Example, when I create a CD, at status "Created", 3 emails are generated to 3 people (SME, ITSME and Developer) from my email ID.

The emails for SME, ITSME and Developer in the BP.

 

Now the requirement is instead of 3 emails, there will be a single email and email to will be the 3 persons: SME, ITSME and Developer.

 

Does anyone have idea how to achieve ChaRM emails to multiple receipients in a single mail?

Issue with CBTA recording/execution for Purchase order Header and Item detail expansion

Hello,

 

We are facing lot of issue with CBTA recording/execution for Purchase order Header and Item detail expansion.

We had try to cover randon behaviour of header and Item detail ( sometime need to expand and some time collapse) with the help of Default component "CBTA_GUI_A_PRESSKEY"

Here we are using URI as :" label=DYN_4000-BUTTON; type=GuiButton; id=/app/con[1]/ses[0]/wnd[0]/usr/subSUB0:SAPLMEGUI:0019/subSUB1:SAPLMEVIEWS:1100/subSUB1:SAPLMEVIEWS:4000/btnDYN_4000-BUTTON"

And KEY as  : Ctrl+F2.

 

But we are not able to expand the Header detail tab.
