EWA report software component not updating

Hello every one.

 

I am using Solution manager 7.1. My EWA report for production server(EHP5) working fine.

 

One think i noticed that under "support package maintenance - ABAP", for below components " Latest Avail. Patch level" is not updating.

For example SAP_HR SP 99 AVAILABLE in SMP but in my report showing 97. Similarly for other component it is showing.

Not all transports request yet released - CHARM status change to pass to test

Hi,

 

We have implemented CHARM for our ECC landscape DEV/QAS/PRD and solution manager 7.1 SPS10.

Once the request for change is created and approved and released for development. Developer puts it in development and once the development is complete when he is trying to "PASS changes to test" the process runs for some time and gives the following message.

 

"Not all the transport request yet Released"

"Status was reset by System"

 

But when I check all the task under the transport request are released. Once I select the "recheck transaction" and try to change the status second time to "Pass change to test" and successfully releases and import the request to QAS system.

 

Not sure why it is not doing the first time and second time when I am doing the recheck transaction and try again it works perfectly fine.

 

please help in resolving the issue.

Post activities after dual stack split

Hello Expert !

 

We are using Solution Manager 7.1 ST 710 SP14.

 

Our All ERP (ehp5) system are integrated with Solution Manager which are dual stack ( abap+java).

 

Yesterday, I have split the QAS dual stack system. Now my system has 2 SID (qas=abap, qas=java).

 

Now, My questions are followings !

 

 

1)  Should I need decommission both system in Solution Manager then make setup in managed system separately ?

 

2) Should I create the Technical Scenario to include both ID to make managed setup ?

 

3) Should I need to register QAJ system on SAP to get the license key ?

Limited Visibility of Systems/Scenarios Monitoring

Hi all,

 

I am looking for build a role for our Help Desk. This role should allow to access Technical Monitoring but only for a group of systems or technical scenarios. For instance the user created in the configuration SM_L1_<SID> matchs with my requirement but it is not posible to restrict the systems and technical scenarios.

Do you know which standard role or authorization object I can use for that?

Delete outdated Agents from Self-Monitoring ?

Hi,

 

we cleaned up some old systems from LMDB etc.

 

Now we have still old agents in self-monitoring.

 

How can we delete this old entries ?

 

The Agents are not visible in Agent-Administration, LMDB or SLD,

 

only in Self-Monitoring.

Custom Query in Alert-Inbox is empty ?

.We try to use custom queries in Alert-Inbox.

 

The result is empty every time, but the preview Shows all entries.

 

Also the value of alerts in the TAB is calculated wrong.

 

Is there a way to resolve this diaplay-Problem`?

 

We implemented the note 2025604, but no Change.

Delete old entry of Wily Enterprise Manager in LMDB ?

Hello...

 

in LMDB we see an old entry of an outdated Wily-EM.

How can we delete this entry ?

 

In Basic-Configuration of the Solution Manager (SP13),

only the new and correct one is displayed, so the old one can't be deleted this way.

 

Any Suggestions ?

Hello,

 

I am doing configuration for CBTA System Under Test Management and whenever i tried performing check for Technical Destination, I am getting this error message. This keeps me from completing the setup and testing of CBTA on our Solman instance.

 

Test Management > Administration > CBTA Settings > System Under Test Management

 

Anyone from here experienced the error before? What could be the possible cause and what are the possible solutions for this error?

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Can you please help me on how to create a metric for the same and how to add in techical monitoring.

Transport not getting imported in Regression system - Urgent Correction ChaRM

Hi Experts,

 

My client has a 4-tier landscape.

Urgent Correction is used for ChaRM here.

 

With status change of the CD, TR was released from Dev and imported into QA system.

Subsequently, it was added into the buffer of Regression system.

But, then only a risk message is displayed(Error screen 1) with message 'Missing Transports'.

 

Although, TR was successfully imported into Quality with status change of CD.

But, when user tried to move it to Regression system(again by status change of CD), transport was not triggered at all and one error message was displayed(Error pic 2) as:

'No Import into test system has taken place yet'

'Status was reset by the system'

'Transport request is not flagged for import into production'

 

Kindly help me in understanding root cause of this issue and to resolve it.

Technical Monitoring - Check Profile Parameters

Hi experts,

 

does anybody know a metric, maybe with root-cause analysis, to check profile parameters of SAP-Systems/Instaces.

E.g. to check if the parameter "login/no_automatic_user_sapstar" is set to 1.

 

Or other important parameters (especially security) are set correctly.

After upgrade to EHP7 - LMDB wrong data?

Hi guys,

 

We did an upgrade from EHP6 to EHP7 and after that I wanted to check the data in LMDB and SLD because of pre-steps for EHP8 implementation.

 

The data was transferred successfully from the technical System to our central SolMan SLD. SolMan is on 7.1 SP12.

The CIM data was also up-to-date with Version 12.1

 

The Problem is in LMDB. I´ve deleted the product system (with product versions EHP6 for ERP 6.0) and have added a new product instance and added the following product versions => EHP7 for ERP 6.0 Abap Technology for ERP EHP, SAP ERP 6.0 ECC Server and EHP7 for SAP ERP 6.0 Central Applications. (see added screenshots)

 

When I start a Maintenance Optimizer Session, than the MOPZ calculates that the system target stack will be EHP6 instead of recognizing that the system is on EHP7 and want to go to EHP8 as target stack.

 

I´ve also checked table SWFEATURE and PRDVERS in the technical system and the components are OK and right in this case.

 

Please help me finding out what´s the reason for this error? => i´ve also added some screenshots to this discussion

Message Processor for ZMPR

Hello colleagues,

I've faced with the problem for getting drop-down list for Message processor in my ZMPR transaction type. For ZMIN and ZMCR everything is ok.

What I did to check the root cause:

1) Checked Partner Determination procedure.

2) Checked parameter SET_PICKLIST_LENGTH=20 in AGS_WORK_CUSTOM

3) Checked the number of users in a team

4) Tried to find notes (among them was 1793311)

5) Compare ZMIN and ZMPR - they are the same for partner determination procedure.

6) Found different discussions they didn't help (1, 2 and others)

But still no luck:

F4-search button instead of drop-down list.

Could anyone have an idea how to repair it?

Solution Manager Diagnostic Agent (DAA) stops with Exit code -11112

The diag agent is installed on an ABAP only ECC 6.0 EHP4 development system.

 

After a few minutes when started the agent goes into a yellow status:

I ran a log file analysis over the specified time and received 4 errors:

Early Watch alert not generated in the managed system

Dear All,

 

we have many customers connected to our Solution Manager 7.1 (Var Scenario)

We are not able to generate EWA reports for two of them. The sessions are scheduled each week and the message in Solman is:

 

The data for this session is overdue. No data has yet been passed from the managed system.

Go to the Service Data Control Center (transaction SDCCN) in the managed system and see why the data has not been sent

 

I've checked in satellite system (SDCCN tcode) and there are no EWA task in "To Do" view. Moreover::

 

1) RFC from managed system to Solman (SOL) is working as expected (authorization test is ok)

2) RFC from managed system to Solman (SOL) is active and set as "master"

3) Maintenance package session is scheduled weekly to send data through the right RFC

4) I've tried to execute immediately both maintenance package and refresh sessions and no errors have been found in the logs

5) I've checked the task processor job and is scheduled and works fine without errorssdccn.jpg

 

Do you have any other suggestions?

I was wondering if it is possible to extend SolMan 7.2 by creating our own FIORI apps, if it is, it's any documentation about how to? SolMan provide oData services out of the box?

Authentication failed while connecting to Runtime Library Manager

Hi,

 

I call up the transaction SM_WORKCENTER in the solution manager system.

I goto TEST MANAGEMENT tab and select ADMINISTRATION and choose GOTO CBTA SETTINGS--> CUSTOMIZE RTL.

Here when i type my password i get the below error.

It is working for all the other users. But it throws this error only with my user id.

I checked SAP notes 1912801 and 1318883 - Implementation of new authorizations in the Web service framework also. But still I'm facing the same issue

Please let me know what is the possible cause of this error and which would be the best solution for this error.

error "no link to maintenance cycle" happens after reset to previous phase

Experts:

 

I have a CHaRM project which has successfully transported a few changes into production.

 

Then I use action "set to previous phase" several times  to set this project to "development without release".

 

Then I create another change request by selecting the maintenance cycle of above project.

 

After authorizing and saving above change request, a normal correction is created. However this normal correction

has an error "no link to maintenance cycle" even its document flow shows the maintenance cycle mentioned above.

 

The IBase is the same as previous selected and is verified to be right.

 

Could you help decide what else is wrong?

SOLMAN_SETUP Select SLD

Hi all,

 

we have a problem with the solman_setup in the step "select SLD". We only have one system and want to create a local SLD in SAP Solution Manager.

 

After filling in the SLD landscape description:

We pressed the "setup local SLD" button. A window was opened and I was prompted to fill in the credentials.

But as you see, we get the error message:

Cannot redirect to the requested application, the redirected attribute is invalid.


Does anybody have an idea what we should do?

Solution Manager BPM vs Netweaver/PI BPM

Can anyone explain the difference within BPM on PI vs. BPM on Solution Manager? Are they the same or offer different features/purpose?  When does BRM come into play?
