i want to move the documentation from existing solution manager 3.1 to solution manager 7.1

Hi

 

 

we need to move documentation from existing solution manager(version 3.1) to new solution manager(version 7.1).

can any one suggest me how to do this and please share any relevant sap notes related to this.

and also i want to know what are the prerequisites to perform this.

Maintenance cycle - Charm

Dear All,

 

I have to implement charm in our company and complete process is working fine. I have issue in the flow of maintenance cycle. We change the status from dev with release to Test and then to Go live but can't revert back status to dev with release for the next change document. Can we have document on flow of status in maintenance cycle?

 

Secondly I am not able to change the number range for charm z transaction type. By default assigned is 80000000000 series, I have created another series 6000000000 but when i assign to z transaction type in workcenter, somehow it doesn't get saved and instead revert back to 80000000 series.

Solman 7.1 SP11 update LM-SERVICE 7.10 SP11 Patch 1 failed

Dear Gurus,

 

I was having HTTP 503 Service unavailable in my Solman. I already have SAPKITL711 and LM-SERVICE 7.10 SP11. Based by sap note1483508 I found that I should have LM-SERVICE 7.10 SP11 patch 1 instead. So I decided to update using SUM the LM-SERVICE to 7.10 SP11 Patch 1.However I always encounter error message:

"Cannot execute Java process for deployList with parameters /sapsource/LMSERVICE/SUM/sdt/tmp/deploy_list.txt. Return code condition success evaluated to false for process java for action ACTION_DEPLOY_LIST.

You can find more information in the files /sapsource/LMSERVICE/SUM/sdt/log/SUM/DEPLOY-COMPONENTS_04.LOG and ProcessOverview.html.

To troubleshoot the problem use the provided information. An SAP Note may provide a solution to this problem. Search for SAP Notes with the following keywords:

SUM  execute  component-deploy-700  deploy-components  com.sap.sdt.j2ee.services.servicesimpl.SDMService  class com.sap.sdt.j2ee.tools.sdmprocess.SDMProcessException"

 

I tried to follow one sap note that suggested me to update the SAPJVM4 to the latest patch as well but this error message is still there.

Status changes in Problem not logged in Text assignment block

Hello,

when processing status changes via actions for example in ChaRM process, the status changes are logged in text assignment block.

But for problem or incident management the status changes are not logged in text assignment block.

How to do this?

Description-Text missing after Releasechange to 7.1

Hello

we just made a releaseupgrade to SM 7.1sp10

 

Unfortunately the Functionality to open a ticket from connected systems

with the Function under "Help/ Create Support Message" looses the Description-Text.

 

in the Development-system this works fine, but in Production the text-types SU99 and SUSD

are not saved.

 

I debugged so far in  SUP_STSUP_NOTIFICATION_CREATE and the texts are transferred, but

the crm-Object does not save them.

 

Using transaction notif_create the description is saved.

 

Any ideas?

Email Notification not working on New Incident Message to Processor

Dear All,

 

we are using Solman 7.1 SP4.  I have successfully configured Incident Management Configuration.

 

We are facing one issue when new incident message is created the Message Processor or support team is not receiving an email where as if the Status of Incident is Change the Message Creator is receiving an email.

 

CRMC_ACTION_DEF -

 

YMIN_STD_MAIL_PROCESSOR - not working

SLA escalation of incidents to upper level

Hi Everyone,

 

 

I am configuring a Solman 7.1 SP10 to be able to handle var partner scenarios.

 

 

Every time when an incident is created in Solman the organisation unit First Line Support is assigned to it as Support Team. After that an email is sent to the email address of First Line Support to inform the employees about the new incident.

With the help of this document I set up the SLA escalation in Solman, but now I have a question in connection with it.

According to the customizing steps in the mentioned document, after the defined threshold is reached, a new email is sent to the Support team (in this case to the First Line Support). This is because I set the action ZMIV_VAR_SLA_IRT_ESC to be Parner dependent and I set the Parnter fucntion to SLFN0003.

In contrast with this I would appreciate the following escalation mechanism: After the defined threshold is reached, a new email is sent to the Support Manager, or the Head of support Team. The declared organisation model is the following:

I don't know whether it is possible. If it is, how?

Dear All,

 

We are setting up Solman 7.1 sp08 for VAR scenario.

As we faced some issues with duplicated ibase components SAP suggested us to implement note 2012029.

After following step by step and running the reporrts mentioned in above note like report AI_CRM_PRODUCT_DELETE we started getting an abap runtime error.

 

SAP is telling us to re implement the note but it does not resolve our issue.

Now we are unable to create incidents, or to run trx ib_gen.

Because of this, job refresh_admin_data_from_support is getting cancelled.

Daily System Health monitoring report from SOLMAN

Hi Experts,

I am working on a project where I need to triiger a consolidated system health report from sol man, much like early watch report.

Only thing is that it should be generated daily for each system.

Well That makes the expectation.

 

 

Progress so far :-

 

     a. Applied E2E120 for managed system ie Technical monitoring is working for that system.

 

Challenge :-

 

   a. Generating a consolidated report, with checklists for system logs, dumps, qrfc / trfc's. As Technical monitoring is giving these info separately.

   b. Options in technical monitoring are too many and not sure which can deliver what i am looking for.

          a. IT Performance reporting

          b. Service level reporting

          c. SDCCN Reporting.

          d. or automatic configure reporting.

 

   c. The report has to be generated periodically only once in a day. It should not be alert monitoring that an system alert triggers a mail and management is bombarded with too many mails.

        

        

 

 

Any valuable suggestion will be very helpful and will certainly be rewarded.

Email notification to Message Processor about SLA exceeded works fine.

Is it possible to send this notification also to head of Message Processor's Support Team?

I use the Solution Manager 7.1 SP11.

When attempting to connect an SAP system to Solution Manager, I am getting the following error on the 'Connect Managed System' step.

I've tried deleting all existing RFCs on the page and reset the page, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. What do I need to do to track down the details of the error? Thanks.

Now when I am trying to complete System Preparation and Basic configuration steps.

I diont see any activities under this tabs.

IT Servicemanagement (WebUI) - Add Textbox

Hi experts,

 

in IT-Servicemanagement (solman 7.1)  there is the possibility, to enter texts (like description, reason, answer, ...).

In default there is only one text-box available and there is a button on which you can select the text which you want to enter.

 

I would like to add now a second text box.

So when I click on create, that there is one textbox for "Description" and one for "Reason".

 

Can somebody please provide me a guideline or explain how it works?

RBPD results does not match the usage of transaction in the system

Hi,

 

I have performed an RBPD analysis on a Solar01 project and have found many transactions which have been used in the managed system.

 

However there is a huge discrepancy between the number of usage we found in the RBPD analysis and the actual usage in the managed system

for example the transaction VA11 is shown to have been executed more than 80,000 times but there are less than 1000 Inquiry document in the system.

 

It is possible that not everytime the transaction VA11 is executed an Inquiry will be saved and also if there are multiple windows which are opened in VA11 that will also be counted. However still there is a huge difference between the numbers.

 

Also the EWA was not configured in the same Solution Manager in which I performed the RBPD. It was loaded from another Solution Manager. Can there be an issue while loading the data of EWA from another Solution Manager?

 

What can be the possible reason for such a huge discrepancy.

Using SMD-Agent for file browsing on SAP Java System

Hello experts,

 

I have got a short question.

 

We are using "SAP Solution Manager 7.1 SP 8".

 

We have installed a SMD-agent on our SAP Java System XY.

 

Is it possible, to use the SMD-agent as a kind of "file browser" for SAP Java System XY?

 

I can remember, there is/was a kind of that feature over the "Agent Administration" of the SAP Solution Manager......
