I am trying run tcode SOLMAN_WORKCENTER --> Root cause analysis --> Agent Administration

The url that opens is http://<localhost>:8000/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tc~smd~navigation/StandaloneApp?APP_ID=ADMIN_AGENT

I get the following error:

If I change the port to 50000 it works. As per a few other threads I made sure all SICF services user /sap/bc/webdynpro and /sap/bc/solman are active. I used the same user SOLMAN_ADMIN to login when launching with 8000 or 50000. It works with 50000 so I am assuming all the ABAP roles it has are sufficient.

What am I missing?

I'm in the middle of setting up Solution Manager Diagnostics, and one section of the setup guide is to enable the Flight Recorder. The instructions say to set the following profile parameter in the J2EE Instance Profile:

jstartup/recorder = java -classpath ../j2ee/cluster/bootstrap/launcher.jar com.sap.engine.offline.OfflineToolStart com.sap.engine.flightrecorder.core.Collector ../j2ee/cluster/bootstrap -node %nodeID% %startTime% -bz $(DIR_GLOBAL) -exitcode %exitcode%

Where exactly does this profile parameter get set? I tried adding it to the Instance profile on the server, but I received a message that said the parameter was unknown. I made sure the spelling was right just in case. I also searched for this particular parameter on help.sap.com, but couldn't find any references to it.

The documentation also says that if you're running SAP NetWeaver 07 or later, that the parameter should already exist. We're on this version and I can't seem to locate it anywhere on my systems.

Any ideas / help would be appreciated!

Here is a background. 2 weeks ago, we have generated an XML stack file using MOPZ in solman 7.1 for the following systems (P6D which is DEV,

P6Q which is quality, P6R which is regression and P1P which is production). We were at our technical cutover rehearsal phase and the system that we were rehearsing was P6R. But AFTER our technical cutover, a new java component, which is seeburger as2 adapter, was installed in P1P, PRODUCTION. Thus, the landscape  of P1P has changed as a new component was introduced and we believe that the generated XML file 2 weeks ago will no longer be valid for P1P. Instead of generating another xml file thru mopz for P1P, we would like to use report RPT_MOPZ_COPY_STACK_XML to convert the XML file OF P6R to map it toP1P.  I have uploaded P6R XML and the target is P1P. So as you can see, P6R XML (source) --> P1P target.

Actions already done are the following:

1) Fulfilled and followed the resolution in note: 1711612

RPT_MOPZ_COPY_STACK_XML Report Troubleshooting

2) SAP-OSS is working in SM59

Basically, program RPT_MOPZ_COPY_STACK does not convert the Regression system's xml to the target, which is production. Kindly see attached screenshot. *the screenshot shows only 1 component in error but upon clicking the 'next difference' button, it will still show other components. I have checked my lmdb settings, will there be workaround for the issue?

We are having an error while we are installing Solution Manager 7.1 on our system. We encountered an error on Phase "start instance". We can't find any related issue on the logs or i might have missed it?

Hi Everybody,

I've got like 20 systems connected to solman 7.1 sp10. All of them with their diagnostic agent and wily, all the wizards are green and everything looks good except for the "System Status" in solman_workcenter which is red. On the details i got the following error.

'DES~ABAP': Cannot get Technical System from ICM 'DES~ABAP~~ICM'

I haven't been able to find any log concerning to the error or anything that helps me to solve it.

Does anyone knows why is this happening or anoyone who have had this error?

In our PRD system we have 4 Request for Change Dcouments  that are stuck in Extend for Scope Status.

If we perform cancel scope it displays an error Due to customizing action not possible.

These are old documents and lots of customizations have happened.

All the new Request for Change Documents are working fine and there is no issue.

We want to close this 4 documents .Please advice how to proceed.

We are using Solman 7.1. However, in Solar02,  when I search for anything from the left tree structure using the search button ( The binocular button ) , it says text not found. We generally get a list of folders in that left tree. Any text that is present in that tree structure, if I search by that, it does not return anything.

I got a request to monitor URL (https://FQDN/....html) from solution manager.

i tried to monitor it using Solution manager technical monitoring via Data collector: SAP Http ping generic but it dosent work and gives error that HOST_NAME is not maintained. It seems  Data collector collects this data automatically from MAI and manually maintaining data dosent work.

I need to know whether i can achieve this from Interface channel monitoring or any other way..? And also i need to send email alert for the same.

I have installed 1 MOM and 2 Collector node with different ports.

MOM = 8081,6001

EM1 = 8082 ,6002

EM2 = 8083 ,6003

All installed in same server.

Dear All,

We have installed the Webdispatcher 7.4 and did the SSL setup and maintained necessary parameters to  access our Portal and ECC systems from internet and its working fine fro specific Java and ABAP stack.

Now when we are trying to access the solution manager, it opens the webgui but when its calling the webdynpros like solman_setup the page is not openning.

During our analysis we found the urls are called from the local machine to the backend host directly and there is no where its communicating the webdispatcher.

Can you please guide me what kind up setup can be done to access solution manager complete functionality via webdispatcher.

FYI Our Solman is on 7.1 SPS10

I´m running solution manager 7.1 on Windows 2008R2 with MS SQL 2008 R2. My database partition is full and my system is not starting anymore, how do i delete some old logs to free my space?

My SLMLOG1.ldf file has 279 GB.

Hello Solution Manager experts,

I have an unusual question.

We have an old Solution Manager v4 system that we are trying to decommission as it's no longer supported. The only reason we need to keep it is for blueprinting documentation in SOLAR01 from a CRM solution we have and this CRM is due to be decommissioned itself in 2 years. So we are trying to get the documentation out of Solution Manager.

All our other SAP systems are running in a Global datacentre and connected to another Solman system, but we are not allowed to migrate the documentation into this "Global" Solman system, as it's "Local" documentation. As we only need to retain this documentation for a defined period and we don't access it that often, we would like to export all the documents down to a local server and access them through Windows. As there are around 2000 docs we couldn't check them out one by one so we were hoping there is a way to perform a mass export down to the Operating System.

If you know of anyway to do this then please reply to this question.

We are using ZMMJ (we call this Change Doc TOC) and ZMHF (we call this Emergency Change) in CRM Web Client UI.

Is there a way to determine which change category appears first? I want Change Document (ZMMJ) to appear BEFORE Emergency (ZMHF).

I'm assuming Emergency is appearing first because H comes before M in the alphabet (ZMHF and ZMMJ)??
