pi monitoring in business process monitoring vs PI in technical monitoring WC

Dear members

I was given a order to investigate PI monitoring in business process monitoring , but on further investigation , it seems to me that more can be achieved via the Technical monitoring workcenter ?

 

 

Unfortunetly I am not a PI user / expert, but know a bit about bpm .

 

We are on SM 7.10 and PI release 7.40.

 

 

I was hoping somebody could give me direction ons what exactly is the difference ? and what is the best route to go ? Have done quite a bit of reading but have not manage to find a clear answer

How to deimplement the sap note and reimplement it again

Hi expert,

              I check our EWA report of our ECC system. The report told me there is one Critical security issues  in our system. Then I check the system with tool RSECNOTE. Then I implement the security note as per these notes. But some notes had been implemented before. How can I deimplement these note and reimplement them again? Thanks a lot.

terminated because it has

 

 

    come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.

 

 

 

 

 

What can you do?

 

 

Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

To process the problem further, contact you SAP system

 

 

administrator.

 

 

 

 

 

Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look

 

 

at and manage termination messages, and you can also

 

 

    keep them for a long time.

 

 

 

 

 

Error analysis

 

 

Only message types A, E, I, W, S, and X are allowed.

 

 

There is probably an error in the program

 

 

"CL_WDR_MESSAGE_MANAGER========CP".

 

 

 

 

 

How to correct the error

 

 

Probably the only way to eliminate the error is to correct the program.

 

 

-

 

 

 

 

 

If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to

 

 

find an interim solution in an SAP Note.

 

 

If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following

 

 

keywords:

 

 

 

 

 

"MESSAGE_TYPE_UNKNOWN" " "

 

 

"CL_WDR_MESSAGE_MANAGER========CP" or "CL_WDR_MESSAGE_MANAGER========CM00R"

 

 

"IF_WD_MESSAGE_MANAGER~REPORT_T100_MESSAGE"

 

 

 

 

 

If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error

 

 

notification to SAP, include the following information:

 

 

 

 

 

1. The description of the current problem (short dump)

 

 

 

 

 

       To save the description, choose "System->List->Save->Local File

 

 

(Unconverted)".

 

 

 

 

 

2. Corresponding system log

 

 

 

 

 

       Display the system log by calling transaction SM21.

 

 

       Restrict the time interval to 10 minutes before and five minutes

 

 

after the short dump. Then choose "System->List->Save->Local File

 

 

(Unconverted)".

 

 

 

 

 

3. If the problem occurs in a problem of your own or a modified SAP

 

 

program: The source code of the program

 

 

       In the editor, choose "Utilities->More

 

 

Utilities->Upload/Download->Download".

Managed System's Instance Installation Path on R3 system cannot be found

We are in the process of configuring Solution Manager for the first time and are experiencing a problem connecting to our test R3 4.7 ERP system. We get a message stating:

"Existence of path C:\usr\sap\QA1 checked on <server name>

No path c:\usr\sap\QA1\DVEBMGS01\ on <server name>"

 

This happens during the Enter Landscape Parameters step of adding a managed system. We are trying to add a R3 4.7 64bit Unicode system, hosted on Windows 2003 R2 to Solution Manager 7.1 SP10.

 

We checked with our basis consultant and he said he was expecting the kernel folder to be at c:\usr\sap\QA1\DVEBMGS01\run (seems to be the default that Solution Manager is looking for), but that folder is empty. On our system there are 2 folders, one at c:\usr\sap\QA1\SYS\run and the other is at c:\usr\sap\QA1\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64.

 

We need your help to figure this out please.

 

Steps to reconstruct:

Run Solman_Setup

Goto Managed Systems

Select QA1 as the managed system

Select configure system

Goto step 6

Select the "Check existence of paths when saving"

Save.

cCTS plugin is not installed in system ,Charm

Hello,

After configuring charm , I was creating rfc(request for change) in sm_crm .In it when I reached to the step 'pass urgent change to test' ,I was getting an error mentioned below:

 

ErrorcCTS plugin is not installed in system (DOMAIN_XY1:XY1). See SAP Note 1688276 

ErrorDetailsImport of transport canceled because of open conflicts

Warning MessageDetailsStatus was reset by system

 

I installed CTS plugin in my managed system XY1,after installing it when i go to the t-code szenplugin for distributing plugin it is giving me an error -

plug-ins cannot be distributed.

CTS Bootstrapper plug-in is not up-to-date in system XY1

CTS Service plug-in is not up-to-date in system XY1.

What should I do now?

In case of Clearing Analysis project, what type ofRFCconnectionsshould be used?

Can't convert stack XML file using report RPT_MOPZ_COPY_STACK for upgrade

Hello Colleagues/ SAP Experts,

Here is a background. 2 weeks ago, we have generated an XML stack file using MOPZ in solman 7.1 for the following systems (P6D which is DEV,

P6Q which is quality, P6R which is regression and P1P which is production). We were at our technical cutover rehearsal phase and the system that we were rehearsing was P6R. But AFTER our technical cutover, a new java component, which is seeburger as2 adapter, was installed in P1P, PRODUCTION. Thus, the landscape  of P1P has changed as a new component was introduced and we believe that the generated XML file 2 weeks ago will no longer be valid for P1P. Instead of generating another xml file thru mopz for P1P, we would like to use report RPT_MOPZ_COPY_STACK_XML to convert the XML file OF P6R to map it toP1P.  I have uploaded P6R XML and the target is P1P. So as you can see, P6R XML (source) --> P1P target.

 

Actions already done are the following:

1) Fulfilled and followed the resolution in note: 1711612

RPT_MOPZ_COPY_STACK_XML Report Troubleshooting

2) SAP-OSS is working in SM59

 

 

Basically, program RPT_MOPZ_COPY_STACK does not convert the Regression system's xml to the target, which is production. Kindly see attached screenshot. *the screenshot shows only 1 component in error but upon clicking the 'next difference' button, it will still show other components. I have checked my lmdb settings, will there be workaround for the issue?

Solution manager sp12 direct installation

Hi Experts,

 

I need to do SolMan 7.1 installation. I guess we need to install the SolMan 7.1 with default SP04 and need to upgrade the SP level to latest one using SUM Tool which is quite time consuming. last week has released SP12 for SolMan.

 

Would like to know if the SolMan SP12 is direct installation??

MOPZ not showing kernels

Hello,

 

I have installed a new SAP system with usage type AS Java. It is a distributed system:

The AS is running on Solaris SPARC, the DB is running on Solaris x86_64.

I have defined the system in the Solution Manager.

Now in the Maintenance Optimizer, at point 2.4 Select OS/DB-Dependent Files, I need

to select the components for both SPARC and x86_64, but unfortunately, I can only

select SAPEXE, SAPEXEDB, SAPHOSTAGENT, igsexe for SPARC. For x86_64,

only SUM is listed and can be selected. Nothing more is shown. I have checked all the

other OS - Win, Linux, AIX, etc. - everywhere else I see only SUM !!

Please help me !! For previous systems, all the files here were visible for all the OS!

error on Phase "Start Instance" on solman 7.1 installation

Hi,

 

We are having an error while we are installing Solution Manager 7.1 on our system. We encountered an error on Phase "start instance". We can't find any related issue on the logs or i might have missed it?

 

Attached are the screenshot and the log.

 

Please help us resolve this issue as we are to go-live for our customer. Hope to receive feedback the soonest.

DCM, Cross Database Comparison shows no results

Hi Solman Gurus,

 

I am trying to setup a Cross Database comparison instance to compare entries between CRM and ECC systems. While I can perform the setup, the results show empty when the instance runs. I have attached screen shots to walk through all the config. Here are the high level steps.

 

1. Setup Comparison Object - Defined databases as two different sources. And built a data model to show subsequent mapping between respective columns. Screen shot 1&2.

 

2. Setup Comparison Instance - Using the object, defined a Comparison Instance.

 

3. Ran results - While the job finishes, it doesn't show any inconsistencies. Screen shot 7.

 

Really appreciate your input.

PS: As a side note, I am only able to attached 3 screen shots and then  the upload button disappears. Do you know if there is a limit on how many files can be uploaded. I understand they have to be less than 1MB in size.

I have an issue in the transaction SMSY.

I need to create a logical system.

But I don't find the product system SAP Netweaver 7.4 in the

transaction SMSY. When I go to LMDB, I can see the product.

 

My system managed is an SAP PI 7.4

 

Could you help me please?

I need to create this logical system 7.4 to finish the managed system of PI.

Export Blueprinting documentation out of Solution Manager

Hello Solution Manager experts,

 

I have an unusual question.

 

We have an old Solution Manager v4 system that we are trying to decommission as it's no longer supported. The only reason we need to keep it is for blueprinting documentation in SOLAR01 from a CRM solution we have and this CRM is due to be decommissioned itself in 2 years. So we are trying to get the documentation out of Solution Manager.

 

All our other SAP systems are running in a Global datacentre and connected to another Solman system, but we are not allowed to migrate the documentation into this "Global" Solman system, as it's "Local" documentation. As we only need to retain this documentation for a defined period and we don't access it that often, we would like to export all the documents down to a local server and access them through Windows. As there are around 2000 docs we couldn't check them out one by one so we were hoping there is a way to perform a mass export down to the Operating System.

 

If you know of anyway to do this then please reply to this question.

Hi All,

 

I am trying to perform managed system configurations in solman_setup on our solution manager for a managed system Other then Solman  and in the step 'Enter system parameters' when I try to save the parameters, I get the following error "DBA cockpit connection XXX cannot be established".

When I click on Details->show in the logs I get the following message:

The tricky part is The user stated in the above error message is not a managed system XXX OS user. The user is solman OS and DB user. I have tried checking in various places like LMDB and DBA cockpit etc. But I wasn't able to figure out from where it is picking up this parameter (User). Also I have completed Managed system configuration for solman system without any issues in this step

 

Kindly help me with this.
