ChaRM transports and Component differences

Hello,

Like mentioned in several other threads also we have problems in transporting via ChaRM because fo component differences due to patching. Some transports were released before the patching and we get a component version error when we try to import into the pathced landscape.

 

I know it is possible to set the check off using parameter SP_TRANS_SYNC. However, we don't want to be setting this parameter every time and we don't want it to be off forever. In thread http://scn.sap.com/thread/3425752 I saw there also is a possibility to control this via the task list.

But for some reason I am not able to find that screen where to set the import Parameters. Is somebody able to help me?

 

We have version 7.1 SP8.

The document type we want to import: Urgent Change

Program in the task list for the import: /TMWFLOW/SCMA_TRORDER_IMPORT

SP upgrade to SP12 from SP04

Hi,

 

We are planing for SP upgrade for solman from 7.1 SP4 to SP12.

is this process normal like we used to do earlier by SPAM and JSPM or like EHP upgrade for ERP.

Not all transports request yet released - CHARM status change to pass to test

Hi,

 

We have implemented CHARM for our ECC landscape DEV/QAS/PRD and solution manager 7.1 SPS10.

Once the request for change is created and approved and released for development. Developer puts it in development and once the development is complete when he is trying to "PASS changes to test" the process runs for some time and gives the following message.

 

"Not all the transport request yet Released"

"Status was reset by System"

 

But when I check all the task under the transport request are released. Once I select the "recheck transaction" and try to change the status second time to "Pass change to test" and successfully releases and import the request to QAS system.

 

Not sure why it is not doing the first time and second time when I am doing the recheck transaction and try again it works perfectly fine.

 

please help in resolving the issue.

Hello,

 

It is possible to open Normal Change/Urgent Change directly with an URL ?

 

For example, I have a Normal Change 42798, I would like to go directly in Solution Manager Incident Management for this normal change

with an URL.

 

I know the GUID on my change and it is possible to open the change by this URL

 

http://solman:port/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?sap-language=E&sap-client=001&~transaction=DSWP_SAPSHORTCUT&~OkCode=/08&pcmd=CRMVW&pnumb=GUID&pvariant=&

 

The change is correctly showed but the problem is Transaction Monitor - Service Processes window is still open.

It is possible to hide or close the window ?

 

Or if you have an easier solution, can you share with me ?

How do I activate Approval Step / Approval Procedure ZMCR

Hi,

 

after defining a 3 tire approval procedure ( ZMCR - Custom 3 Step Approval Procedure). We've got the problem that the Change Manager can neither approve nor reject the RfC.

We get the following error-message:

Project Documentation for NON SAP project

    We want to use SAP Solution Manager Project Documentation for a NON SAP related Project, however in SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN ==> SCOPE==> TEMPLATE SELECTION

SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN==>SCOPE==>Roadmap Select

 

Which template should I use for this, all templates shown are for SAP projects.

ITSM: How to add new step in Create Service Request?

Fellow Members,

 

Has anyone tried adding new step to create Service Request guided procedure in ITSM?I have an Idea , Create Service Request screen has, by default, 3 steps.

 

1. Select Categot

2. Enter Service Request Data

3. Confirmation

 

Would not it be nice if there is one more step called "4. Attachments"  ( as seen in Incident creation screen) ? We get Aattachment tab inside a Service Request ticket after it got created, not during a creation? How could SAP be missing this in standard Service Request feauture? Any thoughts ???

Job Monitoring: Use of pattern instead of the actual name

Hi Experts,

 

We are on Solman 7.1 SP10(soon moving to SP12). We have configured Technical Montorimng -> Job Monitoring. It works as expected if you give the correct job name.

 

But if we try and use a pattern the same doesnt work. No alerts are generated.

 

Can a pattern be used in the config instead of the exact name ? The configuration did not complain about the same.

 

The way I added the job was to search for the job name with a pattern.

A list of jobs were then displayed.

Selected all and the clicked on the button "Add filter criteria as monitored Object" .

 

Can you please tell me if this is correct and should return results or this configuration would not work.

EarlyWatch Alert in Solution Manager 7.1 SP12

Hey Guys!

 

I'm having a trouble with generating ad-hoc EWA for Solution Manager.

 

I did all configuration in:

- System preparition

- Basic configuration

- Managed system configuration

- EarlyWatch alert configuration

 

Now i need to request a EWA session - but i have no clue how.

 

In tcode SDCCN I created new task: REQUEST_SESSION_DATA -> Early Watch Alert for Solution Manager.

The task was completed with no issues.

 

How can I now trigger data processing? Where can I find the data?

In SM_WORKSPACE -> Automated Reporting I found entries for EWA, but only the one scheduled in future.

 

Can you please help me?

RegEx in Monitoring

Hello colleagues!

Using document "Template Maintenance – File System Monitoring Variants" I've made a regular expression for Disk I/O monitoring on Unix.

(?:(?!.*ssd133.*)|(?!.*ssd88.*).*)

I suppose that Monitoring gives me all disks except ssd133 or ssd88.

Is it correct? If yes, why monitoring gives me all disks including ssd88 (ssd133)?

Status Change in ZMCR is not possible

we are unable to change the status in ZMCR.

Solman support pack upgrade Error - SP11

Hi,

 

Am encounter an error in select Target road map, Please refer attached error document for details.

The same error is not appearing after I remove the stack.xml file and then restart the SUM without specifying stack.xml

 

Plz clarify below,

 

1. Without specify stack.xml during target road map, is it possible to complete SUM upgrade ?

2. Please check the attached processreport.txt file and suggest. Do I have to download it manually of all the mentioned missing packages ? (incase if choose for option 1)

 

Environment :

Support pack upgrade from SAP Solution manager 7.1 with SP04 to SAP Solution Manager 7.1 with SP11.

Database Mssql 2008 R2

 

 

This is a standalone solution manager and not connected to the existing / running solman production server, So through MOPZ I cannot generate the stack.xml for this scenario.

CORBU Theme in Solution Manager WebUI

Hello together,

 

is there any chance to implement the CORBU theme in Solution Manager 7.1 SP11? We already tested the theme within SAP CRM 7 EHP3 and it does really give a mature impression from a design perspective. It would be great to have this design also available in the web ui of our Solution Manager (IT Service Management & Change Request Management).

 

I would appreciate your help and ideas.

Hi All,

 

I am planning to install a new SAP Solution Manager system and in the PAM I can see SAP Supports 2012 R2 versions of  OS and DB.

I have seen many threads on ChaRM, but still confused on from where to begin with.

It would be helpful if some body can share link/doc/youtube anything that you can at least which gives clarity what is ChaRM, why ChaRM and how to implement ChaRM.
