I'm using SAP Solution Manager to monitor SAP BW Process Chains.
I'm trying to configure it to send e-mail when some alerts occur (I have already define this alerts).
How can I parametrize the Solman to send e-mails (is it possible)?
I have search and I haven't found anything.

When we starting the Solution Manager Instance the Dispatcher in Yello Colour..... but i can login to the solution manager........
Log------>*** WARNING => DpEnvCheck: no answer from msg server since 20 secs, but dp_ms_keepalive_timeout(300 secs) not reached [dpxxdisp.c 8408]

Hi Solman 7.1 Expects
We currently on EHP 5 for SAP ERP and want to upgrade to EHP 7. as part of the process, i installed SAP Solution Manager 7.1 and implemeted SP Stack 12. I then ran the Solman_Setup system preperation and Basic configaration.
Problem
In transaction LMBD
i created the Technical system for our DEV system
i also created the product instance (this is were my problem lie )
but when run lanscape verification, it throws the following errors
my question, is there a document that i can follow to assign the correct product instance or version. We are on EHP5 and NetWeaver 7.02 but im not sure why LMDB connot recognise our product instance. i have read and folllowed suggestions from this link but to no avail. tried diffrent combinations too.
I would like to fix this so that i can proceed to mopz and download EHP7

Hello All,
We have Transport requests in our Maintenance system which we would like to bring into the Project system. Inorder to achieve the same we did the setup to transport them using Retrofit.
What about the Transport requests which were in our Maintenance system before Retrofit was activated? All the Transport requests were released in the Maintenance system. can we somehow bring them into Project system using Retrofit?

In t.code AISUSER, "SAP Customer Number" column is missing. I have activated related business functions for solman, but i guess some/one of them still missing or i have to execute some report to enable customer number field.
Any suggestion?

Is there a way to configurate the system to have the "status field" under processing data not gray out and it can be modify in the Request for change for Admin only? Or how I can add a reject status to all the worklow status for Request for change?
I have tried to add the E0003 (Rejected) to a number of Actions in SPRO, but its does not show up in the actions in the web portal.
In our Incident management, the "status field" under processing data are modifiable by admin.

Hi All,
We are facing an issue in our Charm where we are unable to add any text to the Change request manually.
The system is not allowing us to enter various text inputs like Description of change , reason for change etc.
But when we save the change the text log gets updated
We are on Solman 7.1 SP 12.
Please advise how do we troubleshoot this issue and what could be the possible root cause for this issue.

I need to do SolMan 7.1 installation. I guess we need to install the SolMan 7.1 with default SP04 and need to upgrade the SP level to latest one using SUM Tool which is quite time consuming. last week has released SP12 for SolMan.
Would like to know if the SolMan SP12 is direct installation??

our HR System exists of an abap System and a Java Portal.
we will upgrade this HR ERP Systems from 702 (EHP5) to EHP7.
If I put both system in the mops, the systems just generates the queue for the j2ee System but not for the Abap System.
Both Systems are created in one Solution an crated on the solman without any error.
Do I have to do the mops seperate for each System, or is there any known issue.
Because as I know in the old days ;-) it was possible to do both in one transaction...
Any advise would we very helpfull and it will be rewardet with poinst ;-)
the Solman is: 702SP14 / SMT 710 SP11
the last version of solman note is implemented: Note '0001933506' is up-to-date

Hello,
we sent an email to reporter in the background when the user status is changed by the processor. Sometimes action profile ZMIN_STD_MAIL is done additional when the processor changes user status, see figures.
What is the system status and what is the different between them? How we can deactivate of sending additional mails?
Can anybody help us?

In the SOLMAN system,i am not able to authorize any CD's. It is consistently giving me a error message : " You do not have a valid business partner assigned to your user" whereas i do have a valid business partner assigned. When i goto transaction "BP" and give my BP-number i can see that under the identification tab,i have two ID's created for me...One ID is with a space at the end and the other ID is without a space. I deleted the ID with the space but still i am unable to authorize CD's. Kindly help and all suggestions are welcome.

I am wrapping up config for technical monitoring on Solution Manager 7.1 SP12, with current central correction note, and I've run into a problem that has me stumped.
When I look at database performance metrics for any system in the landscape, the figures for Page Life Expectancy and Buffer Cache Hit Ratio have identical values. It appears to me that Solution Manager is using the value for Buffer Cache Hit Ratio for both metrics on each system. The value for Page Life Expectancy in DB02 is way above alert value, so I should not be seeing alerts in Solution Manager. Refer to the screenshots below.
Searches on Google and SMP have not given me any direction on resolving this. Has anyone seen this issue and resolved it?

I get an error when calling an URL via CBTA. In the SUT Management I had added an entry in URI-based SUT (BASE_URL: http://). In the testscript I had used URL as type of executable unit and www.google.de as executable unit.
The test creation wizard is started but at the second screen an error occured:
In the CBTA.DefaultDomain.log are some entries written. Such as unable to retrieve IMarhalable instance for CL_TAO_TECHNICAL_WEB_BASED_SUT or missing reference in response exporting member. Pleas see attached extract of the log.
Does anyone havea cluehow toapproachthis?
