Solution to close RFC manually when the previous doc has been closed

Hello,

 

I have trouble 'confirm' or 'complete' a few Req For Change (RFC) due to the
following errors: "The status
of the previous document cannot be changed". Currently, I have a about 30
of these RFC are in the status of "In Development" and I cannot move these RFC to
closure.

 

Is there a way to manually change status to 'confirm' or 'complete'?

 

I have added the 'Confirm' and 'Rejected' status but the system will not let
me close these old RFCs. I believe this is the result of closing the Change
Request or the Incidents associated to this RFC.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciate.

Interface & PO Monitoring - SoapFaultCode:4 com/sap/smd/log/E2E_MAI_Logger

Hello folks,

 

I'm getting an error when attempting to "Activate Monitoring and Alerting" on Step 5.8 Complete Setup on the Interface & PO Monitoring in Solution Manager 7.1 SP10.

 

The log reports error "XML distribution for agent sapslpdb returned errors, see transaction SLG1: E2E_ALERTING/DCC" for some of the Data Provider Connector entries and it varies everytime I re-try this activity. Sometimes the activation works for all agents but let's say I re-try it for the same instance I just got success, it will most likely fail again what makes me think there's a problem there.

 

Here's what I see when I dig into t-code SLG1 --> E2E_ALERTING/DCC:

Problem class Important: Config-XML for Introscope EM : SoapFaultCode:4  com/sap/smd/log/E2E_MAI_Logger

 

I wonder if anyone has gone through this issue as I have searched but could not find any SCN post with such problem.

Configuration of Conflict Management (Cross Object locking) possible without configuring Change Request Management (CHARM)

Hi,

 

We are interested in configuring the Conflict Management functionality, but there is no requirement of configuring Change Request management (CHARM); and further can Conflict Management be combined with Custom Code Management?

 

Is it possible to implement or configure Conflict management as a separate functionality like Quality Gate or Retrofit for example.

 

Done: Check the RFC connections

Tried: Activate the cross-system object lock for each satellite system, where it asks to select the client from System/Client column.

And there is no system listed in the table.

 

If possible, where are this entries maintained, so that I can see the managed system / client details to proceed.

 

Then, it will be only step Globally activate the cross-system object lock, once done may be Conflict Management can be activated.

 

Hoping its possible without CHARM and also possible to integrate with Custom Code Management.

BPMON Measured value 0 but shows records in Details Info

Hi,

 

In BPMON alert inbox , for a custom monitor after a alert it shows measured value 0 , no records selected for

current input,

but when we click on detail info and login to satellite system(ECC)

it shows 2 records in output ,which is selected in last collector run (below image chk date),

  Ideally it should show zero instead why it is showing

last collector run records.?

CBTA screen components for customer developments

Hello,

 

we are currently performing some investigations on CBTA and made this observation. If we record standard SAP GUI transactions we get a mix of screen- and standard components in our generated test scripts as we expected. But if we use CBTA to record come customer developments the generated test scripts only contains standard components.

 

Why are there no screen components for the customer developments too? Doesn't CBTA support screen components creation for customer developments?

Error in MAIN_INIT/DB_ACTION_UPG

Hi,

 

 

We are performing a SP upgrade  for  a Solution Manager   and now we are in the initial stage of pre-processing phase after the lock of the downtime . We are getting the below error .

Has anyone faced this error before . If yes, please guide me on how to fix it. I searched in the SAP portal and other places but couldn’t find any concrete  solution.

CBTA - Application component issue

Hi Experts ,

 

I am working on setting up CBTA 3.0 SP4 on Solution Manager 7.1 SP12 system .

I did follow the SAP note 2007325 to install the CBTA Add-on and client . Completed the CBTA setup in SOLMAN_SETUP and SUT .

When the tester trying to create a test , they are not able to see the " application component " in the drop down menu .

This is the sample screenshot , the application component list empty for us .

Please let me know if any idea how to make it available .

Hello experts,

 

I'm using SAP Solution Manager to monitor SAP BW Process Chains.

 

I'm trying to configure it to send e-mail when some alerts occur (I have already define this alerts).

 

How can I parametrize the Solman to send e-mails (is it possible)?

 

I have search and I haven't found anything.

Hello,

 

I am trying to configurate the Solution Manager for the first time. It`s difficult for me, when a warning appears, to solve this. I am at section Managed System Configuration now. On point 3 Maintain RFCs my Client is green but I get the warning SAP Service Delivery is active, a BACK-RFC-Connection is necessary. I have no idea how this should be done. Can you give me a step by step instruction, pls? I haven`t found one yet.

cCTS question

HI

 

We are on Solution Manager 7.1 SP12 and are currently configuring cCTS.

 

I have a quick question regarding this:

 

We have a Development SOLMAN and Production SOLMAN, with Development being the Domain Controller.

 

We use ChaRM in Production and therefore cCTS must work in Production.

 

My question is will cCTS work in Production even though our Development system is the domain controller?

Solution Manager Reporting port 8100 instead of 8000

Hello Experts,

 

I have recently configured ITSM/ChaRM for a client, and activated/configured the BW Reports.

All 3 standards links appear, and I can use both BW reports.

When trying to use the Solution Manager Report, it goes fine up to this point:

Then I clic on either Launch Message Reporting / Launch Duration Analysis, and it will try to open the page for quite some time, before failing.

 

After many tries, I noticed the port was changed from 8000 to 8100:

By manually changing the port in the address to 8000, I could launch the report:

This is not the first system where this is happening to me, and this workaround works in both cases.

 

Does anyone knows why this is happening?

How can I correct it?

SP12 . Request for Change (RfC) error: Status could not be set due to status profile Customizing / authorization

Hello Experts,

 

I'm wondering if you can help me to resolve the error I'm getting while approving RfC: Status could not be set due to status profile Customizing / authorization

I already added necessary authorization with auth object B_USERSTAT , adjusted Actions:

Authorization error to "Assign transport request "or "Decouple transport request" in ChaRM

Hi All,

 

While i am try to assign transport request getting the error " No authorization tp perform task " Assign transport request" in role type " SOurce System"

 

But i am not  able to find any authorization missing in the trace .

Database Page life/Buffer Cache metrics issue

I am wrapping up config for technical monitoring on Solution Manager 7.1 SP12, with current central correction note, and I've run into a problem that has me stumped.

 

When I look at database performance metrics for any system in the landscape, the figures for Page Life Expectancy and Buffer Cache Hit Ratio have identical values. It appears to me that Solution Manager is using the value for Buffer Cache Hit Ratio for both metrics on each system. The value for Page Life Expectancy in DB02 is way above alert value, so I should not be seeing alerts in Solution Manager. Refer to the screenshots below.

 

Searches on Google and SMP have not given me any direction on resolving this. Has anyone seen this issue and resolved it?

The number of required defect fields in Quality Center is different

While doing the integration with HPQC and Solman, during the field mapping i am getting below error

 

"The number of required defect fields in Quality Center is different from the number of required support message fields in Application. Make sure that number of required fields is equal in both systems before you continue."

Need help on MO specific setting Untick

I want to Untick the box for MO specific for Template since when i am trying to assign the Template which i want to a system  for sys monitoring set up it says you cannot change since it MO specific how can i remove that so that i can assign my template.
