I am going to configure charm in Solman 7.1 SP 10 and so the transports in all systems linked with solman system are going to be done in charm only.My project is in the middle and now only we are configuring charm in the project.So i wanna know how can i track the transports which are already transported in different systems and also there may be some transports which are released by abapers and not yet transported.How can i Track those transports by using charm.

I'm doing an upgrade from my solution manager 701 to 710, actually is installed on linux/db2
But when solmanup reaches the PREPARE/INIT/READ_PROFILES phase it appears this error

Could not extract value with key j2ee/dbhost,j2ee/dbtype,DIR_EPS_ROOT,SAPSYSTEMNAME,j2ee/dbname, from file /usr/sap/SLM/SYS/profile/DEFAULT.PFL. A possible reason could be that the path to the directory containing the sappfpar executable is not included in the PATH environment variable. Process sappfpar completed with error code 255.
You can find more information in the log file /usr/sap/SLM/SOLMANUP/java/log/READ_PROFILES_RBP_20.LOG.

I found many locations for the sappfpar executable and added them to my PATH env var
What can be my problem?

Hi Experts,
Our Production systems are in cluster environment and having issues with step assign diagnostic agent step in manage system configuration. In one system the agent is not connected to app servers and host agent status is giving warning as no agent with id is currently connected to solman. For one system dia agent is connected to app server and CI but not to DB . we have updated the host agent and tried SMD scripts still having the same issue. Please help me in resolving this issue as most of the systems are effected.
Few diagnostic agents status shows as not connected.

Hi,
I know the conceptual and practical benefits from Solution Manager but I need to justify the investment on Solman implementation together with an IT application governance process definition project.
In order to make it happen, I need to create a Business Case and really measure financial benefits by implementation an IT Governance (Solman + Process definition).
Do you have any material that could help me on this journey? I've searched over the internet but didn't found anything relevant or straightforward.

In ITSM - incident management (Solman 7.1 SP 12), I am having trouble with automatic email notification of Processor whenever there is a reply /status_change from the reporter. No notification email is generated.
Could you please help with this? Where to look for this action?

We are in the process of introducing retrofit, and the picture is clear for us, generally speaking, to retrofit the project landscape with the changes done in the maintenance landscape.
What about the other way around? We mean, when the project is set to Go Live, we understand the transports will be all added, e.g. to the Production System buffer to be moved there via Maintenance Cycle, based on the way we defined the project and the logical component being used.
However, how do you feed those project transports to your Maintenance Development System using ChaRM? or do you do that Manually? We doubt. Copying Production back into Development? no way !!!
How do you establish that? We have a sort of idea but the documents about retrofit only seem to talk about moving transports one way, as far as we have found.

I am trying to raise a support message from my SAP ERP 6.0 EHP6 satellite system. This system is added as managed system in SAP Solution Manager 7.1 sps12. When I log into satellite system with logon language english I can raise a support message with no problem. But when I log in Serbian language, when I try to raise a support message, a get the following error when clicking the send button:
Loggon in Solution Manger is only possible with English language.
What is the cause of this error message?
Should I also install Serbian language in Solution Manager?

1.) I am getting the error as "No FQDN found in host" in manage system configuration and I cannot see FQDN entries in LMDB for logical hosts. Attached the screenshots for your reference. I have followed the steps given in SAP note: 1626853 - SolutionManager7.1 - Outside Discovery FQDN Customization , but still I am getting the same error. Host entries are maintained in both the solman and manage systems and host/ip/fqdn PING are getting successful from both the systems. For few systems ip address is reflecting in place of FQDN in LMDB, screenshot attached.
2.) I am also getting the other error:No Physical or Virtual host found under the Logical host in the managed system configuration system status, screenshot attached.
Note: Please note our prod and pre prod systems are in cluster environment.
Please help me in resolving these errors.

So like the transaction log metric, which displays in minutes, how long the last transaction log dump is ago.
So I want to see how many minutes are ago a db dump was done.
(to see if a backup wasn't running).

I have a requierement concerning the search operators in ITSM. It is possible to show results with empty fields ("is empty" operator)
but I need to show the contrary : everything that is not empty.

is it possible to connect the diagnostics agents from all the satellite systems to several Solution Manager?
Or do we need to install an additional instance of Diagnostics agent and connect these to second Solution manager?

I am facing one issue in Solution manager system,
Where i applied below notes 2 months before.
- 1946164 SYB: DDIC patch collection for release 7.02 (117 pre-requisites notes need to be applied)
- 1946165 SYB: Solution Manager Technical Monitoring Patch Collection(22 pre-requisites notes need to be applied)
- 1605169 SYB: SAP BW 7.02 Correction Collection
- 1558958 SYB: DBA Cockpit Correction Collection SAP Basis 7.02 / 7.30" (126 pre-requisites notes need to be applied)
After applying this note. we did not received any dumps or face any issues.
But recently we upgraded Solman from SPS08 to SPS12. Now we are getting Syntax error dumps for performance collector job and for transaction db02.
Please suggest.

I have problem in generating configuration document from solar02.
when i go to SOLAR02 and click Configuration from the menu and choose option Generate Configuration Guide it generates a MS Word file with all the menu but it fills the part of details in one of the modules only. rest only headings.
As i have checked that the data it takes from the IMG of ERP why its just showing data of some parts of only one module why its not printing all the documents of all the nodes present in the solar02

Hi Guys,
We are having issue with default partner function value automatically being picked up for second approval step.
In standard SMCR in Approval Block the first step is Change Manager and Second is Change Advisory board.
But in our case in SMCR in second step it is taking IT operator in approval block in CRM UI screen.
If we block the partner function IT operator in Partner determination Procedure, the value in Approval block in CRM UI screen changes to CAB.
I have checked other solman systems and there IT operator PF is not blocked and then also in second step of CRM UI the CAB is shown.
Could you please advice how to fix this issue ?

I am setting technical monitoring for SAP HANA SP9 in Solution Manager 7.1 SPS12. In the picture shown status for database performance and database exceptions are showing status "gray" - data not available:
Dbacockpit connection for saphana in Solution Manager is working just fine.
What could be the cause of this gray status?

PI system is PO 7.4 Java stack.
We have successfully configured "Managed System Configuration" for PI system.
