Customizing using eCATT in solution manager

Hi

 

I have been going through SMI310 and on help site of SAP it says

 

  • You can assign CATTs and eCATT configurations to structure elements, and call them. You can record settings and import preconfiguration with CATT and eCATT functions.

 

at the link below under heading features

 

Configuration Tab Page - SAP Solution Manager - SAP Library

 

can someone please guide me how i can record customizing through eCATT and use it for the rollout

 

actually i need steps for it.


Error:Administration header could not found for support message

Hi All,

 

we are creating the support message in CRMD_ORDER transaction. we are getting an error, "Administration header could not found for support message" while saving. And also it is coming out of the transaction.

 

The transaction type is SLFN.

 

Please advise.

Enquire prerequisites installation in solution manager

Dear Expert,

 

I have doing the prerequisites check before install solution manager. For first red message, could you advice if I need to install the environment variable in local policy or group policy? For second and third message, is that need to re-install window version? Do I need change host name?

 

My system environment:

 

Windows Server 2012 Standard

Installed Oracle 11.2.0.3

Unable to select client number in Logical Component

Good day experts,

 

I am VERY new to SAP and SOLMAN in general and this might be a trivial question but I cannot figure it out by myself.

 

I am trying to add a new managed system to a fully working sap system. Everything is going well except that I cannot assign a logical component (actually create a new one to assign) because I need to select a Client Number but there is none in the list to select from.

 

If I go to solman_setup -> Managed Systems Configuration -> Select the new system and select min. configuration -> Step 2 Assign Product -> Assign Logical Component I get this:

Is there something I am missing? Is there something I need to do to get a list of client numbers in the drop-down?

Adding FTP server to Solution manager technical monitoring

we have a stand alone FTP server that uploads jobs from ERP to External multiple vendors.

I know that we can add those batch jobs to Solman Technical Monitoring.

but can we add that ftp server to technical monitoring too?

Solution Manager losing its diagnostics agents

Dear experts,

 

I would like to discuss a little bit on this issue and just gather your opinions. Last week I gained another

portion of weird experience with our Solution Manager 7.1 SPS 12. On, maybe 1/3 of our systems, the

diagnostics agent had disappeared from the managed systems configuration. Sometimes I came to know

about this, because the system status in the managed systems configuration had changed to red, on some

systems it was still showing green. Just right after opening the system and clicking on the Assign Diagnostics

Agent step, that step would immediately turn red and next to the host, I would see a yellow 'Find Agent' button.

On most of the systems, I managed to reassign the agent again, but there were 2 systems, on which no matter

what I did, and even after waiting 20-30 minutes, the agent just didn't get assigned again, so I went to the

Marketplace, downloaded the latest SWPM and kernel 7.20 (as a standalone agent installation seems to be

no longer available), deinstalled the old agent, installed the new one, and then - the agent would IMMEDIATELY

get reassigned correctly !!
So, I would kindly like to ask you:

1) Did this happen to anyone else, or I am the only victim of this behavior ?

2) WHY is this happening ? Like, do I need to recurrently check for agents that went missing and reassign/

reinstall them ? Not that our landscape is very big, but I have been working on Customers with hundreds of

systems - to check this on a monthly basis for all the systems is an enormous piece of work...

3) Is there a way to reassign stubborn agents, without reinstalling them ?

4) What to do, in order to prevent Diagnostics Agents from going missing ?

How to restrict closure of SMCR/ZMCR transactions if follow up tasks are open?

Hi Solman Experts,

 

 

In configuration, we are using copy of transaction ZMCR(copy of SMCR) and solman system is 7.1 SP 8.

 

We have requirement to restrict closure of ZMCR transactions if follow up tasks (Activity type Task) are open.

 

In SPRO, we did not find any option to add Task types so that status attributes can be checked under below path:

 

SPRO->Capabilities->ChaRM->Standard Configuration->ChaRM Framework->Make settings for Change Transaction Types.

 

Request you to please provide your inputs.

Auto Fill Sold-To Party field in ZMCR doesn't work

For ChaRM RfC, I configured ZMCR transaction type.

I want the Sold-To Party field populated automatically. I followed instruction given in some sdn forums:

1. IB52 assign Solution Manager Client 001 to Sold-To Partner ID

2. Partner Determination Procedure > Partner Functions in Procedure: ZMCR0001 was set to 0018 SAP Service: Determination via IBase/Ind. Object from Ref.Object Set (Tried AIC2, AIC3 as well).

 

Still the Sold-To Party field is not populated automatically after I click Create new Request for Change.

 

Appreciate your comments and suggestions.

solman 7.1 sp12,incident management,sent to sap

Hi , i'm configuring incident management  and i would appreciate your help with some problems when sending to sap, i alredy configured customer numbers(configuring for var scenario) , business partners(organizations) for this customer numbers , and assigned system users tu customer and s-users in many many ways, however i could not get it to work, im getting the messages :

 

 

 

S-User (RFC) and S-User (contact) do not belong to the same customer.

S-User 0006723285 (RFC: SAP-OSS) is not assigned to a customer.

Installation number is missing in transaction 8000000019.

Installation number is not assigned to a customer.

S-User(s) (contact: 0000000148) not assigned to a customer.

S-User (RFC) is not assigned to customer (installation).

Contact's S-User(s) not assigned to customer (installation).

 

Can anybody bring me some help with this? if you have screenshots or guides where theres information about this, i would be very thankfull.

How can I configure charm for single non-abap system?

Hi

Someone can guide me regarding Charm configuration for single system? I have found a discussion that it requires at least multiple clients which are roles for DEV, QAS, PRD.

Then how about non-ABAP application which doesn't support Client concept like Business Object? Is it possible to configure ChaRM even if I have only a single system available?

Analytical Key Figure Respository Name is empty

Hi All

 

Our Solution Manager system is on 7.1 SPS 13. We are trying to Configure BP Dashboards. In Solution Manager, When going to solman_workcenter and "Business Process Operations(New)" and "Setup Dashboards" and when trying to "Add" a New "Analytical Key Figure Instance" , the "Analytical Key Figure Repository Name" seems to be always Empty. The BP Dashboards related Notes for SPS 13 have already been Applied.

 

Can you please suggest Approach for fixing this issue.

Technical Monitoring question

Has anybody ever tried to monitor a URL with a query-string in it? ex.  http://sapSID.yourdomain:8080/somewebservice?wsdl

 

 

I've tried going through the Diagnostic Agent -> SAP URL Availability check, but that just breaks off as soon as the query string starts. Leaving the query string out, just results in it hitting the actual logon page, and throwing a return code 500 because not authorized.

 

I've tried going through the RFC -> HTTP Availability check and using SM59 to create an http connection for that. But that only checks whether a connection is possible, doesn't take into account the HTTP return code.

Preliminary Import Approval - how to stop it changing status if error

Hi

 

We are using Preliminary Import functionality for ZMMJ in Solution Manager 7.1 SP12.

 

I have setup config so when Preliminary Import is approved, it will release the transports.

 

However, sometimes we are getting this error:

 

"Request XXXXXXX cannot be released due to open conflicts".

 

The error is actually expected because we are using CSOL and there is open conflicts so that is fine. The issue is the status still updates to "Preliminary Import Approved" even though the release failed. Then we are stuck as there is no way to release the transports via ChaRM.

 

To get around this, I have tried setting up some config to say if this error appears, the status doesn't update. It would stay on "Preliminary Import Requested" instead of changing to approved. But I'm struggling to get this to work.

 

Really hoping someone can suggest what I should do to get this working.

Hi everybody , i´m trying to configure incident management user interface in order to make the IBase component read-only, im following section 7.17 How to make IBase Component Read-Only, from the guide "Application Incident Management –Configuration and Upgrade Guide for Service Provider / SAP Channel Partner (VAR)" , but when i get to the point of clicking the "Configure Page" as seen on next screenshot:

I get the message ERROR: No repository view was found at design time (termination: RABAX_STATE)

Beside, mi template user for itsm incident creation,could not se the configure button, this user was created automatically in the solman_setup.A

 

Any suggestions?

Solution Manager - How to access Line Opener Program

hi,

 

We have LOP ( Line Opener Program) installed in our SAP environment. When looking at OSS Note-797124, it suggests to use LOP functionality within Solution Manager as soon as it is available. My question is " Is it made available now?" we use Solman 7.1 Ehp1, if so, where to look into it?

 

Would appreciate your feed back on this.

HANA Root Cause Analysis "No Applicable Data Found"

Hi experts,

 

I have SAP Solution Manager SPS12 and SAP HANA SP9. I added HANA to Solution Manager and performed Managed System configuration and DBA cockpit connection is set up. I also performed Technical Monitoring setup for HANA in solman_setup. Now when I want to use Root Cause Analysis, it seems that some data is missing.

When I open Root Cause Analysis > Database Analysis> SAP HANA database and Load data from the Business Warehouse:

a can see data like memory usage:

but when I load data for example Size and Host volume files a get No Applicable Data Found :

This is also case for I/O and Workload.

 

How can I resolve this No Applicable Data Found issue?

Solution Manager 7.1 LOP Question

I have two questions.

 

The LOP Manual only indicates that the background program should be running continuously. I have the job frequency set to 10 minutes.  I wasn't sure what was appropriate.

unable to perform copy transaction type from SMIN to ZMIN

Hi Team,

 

kindly provide the solution ASAP.

 

I am unable to copy the transaction type from SMIN to ZMIN.

 

When I clicked on start copying process its not asking any TRs and in the display logs it is not showing any thing.

 

finally I have checked in the transaction types ZMIN is not created.

 

kindly find the attached screen shots.

Self Diagnostic & Business Partner

Dear,

 

In the Self Diagnostic of our Solman 7.1 is the error in the Incident Management Reporting:

 

"Checks whether each customer number has an assignment to a Business Partner - No Business Partner assignment was found for the customer number XXXXX". XXXX is our customer number by SAP.

 

Could somebody give the Information, which attribute I have the edit in the transaction BP to solve this problem?
