Hello All,
I have activated EWA in my solution manager system as stated in the below link.
EWA 7.1 Display and Schedule - Solution Manager - SCN Wiki
I have done the require setting in SMSY , when i read data from remote source i am able to get data from my ECC system and is displayed in SMSY screen.
I have also created one logical system and assigned to my new solution created in T-Code "solution_manager"
From Tcode " Solution_manager" i selected my solution.
Here when i am trying to create early watch alert from node "operation --> solution Monitoring --> EarlyWatch Alerrt" . I don't see my system configured here. Please see my screen below. Under service i don't see my ECC system .
The same screen when i open in browser i don't see system , is there any place where i have to configure Service system.
How do i activate EWA alerts for new solution in solution_manager t-code
From SDCCN i also see that SAP EWA job is active .
But using that same Solution i have downloaded stack file from SAP to upgrade my ECC , which means connections from ECC to SAP Router is working fine.
I am struck up here from more than 3 days , please let me know is there any thing i am missing.

This is the second one I am having this issue.
I give up on the first one and decide to re-install my SAP, but now I am having problem again.
Here's the platform I am using:
- SLES 11 SP3 for SAP
- Solution Manager 7.1 SPS10
- Kernel 7.21 EXT 64bit UC

What I do is exporting my source system using system copy.

Test Script: Recorded using CBTA
Currently we have setup CBTA and have recorded few Test Scripts, the setup is fine and we are able to execute CBTA test scripts from tester worklist.
Here we are trying to schedule the CBTA Test Script from the same desktop where were have SolMan and Managed system connectivity as well as the complete setup with CBTA Frontend installed in the same machine
CBTA Functionality of Recording and Execution is working fine. We have also created composite Test Scripts which includes CBTA test scripts for E2E Testing.

We seem to be having issues with the SMD Agents installation, would really appreciate suggestions from the experts here.
Basically trying to connect the SMD agents to the EM using the cmd "smdsetup.bat hostagentconf emhost: "****" emport:"***"
Receive the error" Cannot find directory of the host agent resources".
On checking the logs from SMDSystem.0 I see the following warnings-
-Connecting to SMD server ms://******:8101/P4 failed,NAming Exception "Exception while trying to get Initial Context:there are no access points for service:P4 registered on the message server.
Has anyone seen this ?

I am trying configure ChaRM in & 7.1 SP13
in three system landscape (Dev, qua , prd) where i have done extended transport settings on system
created charm project & img under it
before activating when i check it. it is giving me an error " Error getting configuration of EQ1"
STMS is compltly fine, domain link are running fine, TMSADM is working properly
TMSADM@SID.DOMAIN.SID in all system working fine for all the system where SID stands for (DEV,QUE,PRD,SOL)
& we have domain setup on DEV
I dont know for what reason it is giving me an error for QUE

Here's one I haven't seen before. I'm preparing to apply support packs to my ERP ABAP system landscape, and in the Confirm Major Target step (step 2.2) of Maintenance Optimizer the tool tells me that it is going to change the Product System to Technical System assignments so my DEV Product System will be assigned to each of DEV, QAS, and PRD Technical Systems. By this I mean something like the following:

So far so good, that is what my landscape looks like in LMDB. But, here it gets weird:

Why would MOpz do that? So, naturally, I went back to LMDB and carefully reviewed the product system and technical system definitions, and they all look correct. Indeed, the Initial Constellation is correct in MOpz. So why does the tool want to reassign things like this? Obviously I won't let this move forward like this, so I'm going to restart the maintenance transaction with just the one system (DEV), as for this support package application I don't even need a stack.xml (it will be done with SPAM, not SUM), I just need my files approved for download. But, I worry about the implications of this for an upgrade in the same landscape we have coming up in a few months, where obviously I will need to use SUM.
This isn't our first time at this particular rodeo, as we've been using MOpz for this landscape for years. However, SolMan did recently "force" me to update Note 1969109 (SAP Solution Manager 7.1 SP12 - Basic functions) to the latest version (from version 15 to version 22), along with attendant many "prerequisite" Notes updated, so I wonder if something in all of that broke things.
This is for Solution Manager 7.1 sp12, and as mentioned with v22 of the "Basic Functions" Note for sp12. The target landscape is ERP 6.04 / NW 7.01 and I'm updating from sps13 to sps17, though that is probably irrelevant to this issue.

I want to install an SAP ABAP system along with the required SPs in one implementation run and I try installation target using maintenance planner at apps.support.sap.com/sap/support/mp . In the maintenance planner a stack XML file with the desired SPs stack is generated but when I downloading SPs files I cant download this files:

Error Message - Access denied (R/3)
You do not permission to access this object.
With other files I don't have any problem with downloading.

We are using Retrofit functionality which is as follows:
PROD is only single production server using dual maintenance.
So basically urgent changes are retrofitted in release cycle which is mostly quarterly release.
We are again putting the retrofitted changes back to PROD server from where they have originated.
This creates a risk of putting old changes back to production after new ones if CHARM/Transport sequence is not followed correctly.
Then I read this old blog:

This blog says that retrofit functionality can be used without CHARM but with only task list.
Could you please throw some light on this.
We don’t want to include retrofit in release cycle but keep it away so as to minimize the risk for taking back the retrofits again to PROD.

We have got below error under configuration check of Managed System Configuration.
Error:
Timezone of J2EE Engine test-solman does not match timezone of the diag. agent
When we check instance.properties and smdagent.properties, the time related parameter is not found.

are there any experiences with Solution Manager on HANA and sizing guidelines.
Unfortunately the sizing toolkit is no longer available in SMP - at least I couldn't find it.
I'm looking for sizing guidelines for the service desk functionality in SolMan. Especially how the attachments in tickets are handled by HANA. Are they treated as hybridLOBs and mainly stored on storage or constantly loaded in memory?

I'm configuring solution manager (SOLMAN_SETUP) and in the step activate flight recorder, the customizong documentation says:

On the managed system the flight recorder needs to be enabled by adding a parameter to the J2EE instance profile.
Requirements
The managed system is a J2EE based system or a dual stack with ABAB and Java. Skip this check in all other cases.
Default Settings

Set the following profile parameter:

On a dual stack system you can use transaction RZ10 to maintain the profile parameter, on a J2EE only system you need to enter the parameter manually to the J2EE instance profile in the file system.
Attention: As this parameter exceeds one line in transaction RZ10, please ensure the line breaks and that no additional characters (like a space) are added to the parameter when you insert the string.
The problem is that the system is not a dual stack, it is only ABAP, and I have installed the Diagnostic agent DAA. So, how can I add the profile parameter? How do I add the parameter in the J2EE instance profile if there isn't a Java instance?

I would like to know if there is any way to realise the following scenario:
Users of FI and HCM are using the same business role in solman. A FI user can also view incidents with SAP component PA and an HCM user can view incidents with SAP component FI (if he wants to). Of course you can use the search criteria in CRM UI (ITSM) to filter the incidents with the non-relevant SAP component, but is there any way to restrict the access to incidents with a specific SAP component? I don't know if this is even possible. I couldn't find any authorization objects or something similar.

Hi ,
We have a non production Solman system R40. It is running on 4 app servers: apr4018, apr4019,apr4022 and apr4023. When I checked in Wily, the nodes SAP Netweaver is missing for the target managed host in the Introscope Investigator (Workstation or webview) only for server 18 & 22.
This cannot be due to BCA installation in managed system configuration although its showing needs to be updated.Because for other two servers nodes are showing in Wily. Can someone help me in this to fix the issue?

I am using Defect Correction (SMTM) when Test failes due to some config error. But I want to allow defect correction creation only as a follow-up document from Incident(SMIN).
How can I make sure that Defect Correction are only allowed as followup document from Incident.
Currently it allows me to create Defect correction directly without refernce to Incident.
