LMDB system verification is failing miserably :-(

Dear Experts,

 

I have installed a new Java system. During the course of adding it correctly the our Solution Manager, I did a verification check in LMDB and it failed miserably:

 

 

1. Why is it complaining about LM SLD ? I have it installed !!

 

 

2. About LSOCP - when I select Proposal for Unassigned Software Components, I am getting SAP LEARN SOLN W/COMMUNITY

1.0 (add-on), but it is already assigned, so I don't get it what is the point ?

Even when I try to select it, I am getting the following error message:

 

Product instances of the technical system are supplied automatically


Please kindly help me to solve these annoying problems! Many thanks in advance!

PI message size & traffic analysis

Hello.

 

Need your help!

 

I have the requirement to analyze PI message size and overall traffic by interfaces using Solution Manager 7.1 SP14.

If I`m right, the System monitoring and Integration monitoring don`t provide any related metrics to be received from agent.

Maybe Data Volume Management has some feature to collect data from PI DB, but I`m not sure.

 

Could anyone help me is it any way to collect and analyse PI messages size and traffic?

ChaRM config error

Hi,

I have created a new project for ChaRM  in SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN and project check is giving errors mentioned below.Due to errors,unable create a task.

 

Can you please help in resolving these issues?

 

 

 

1.System canceled RFC destination SM_SIDCLNT500_READ, call TMW_GET_TARGET_SYSTEMS:

  

a)This RFC connection works fine (both connection and authorization test and do not see any authorization errors for the user used in RFC connection

 

b)Referred OSS note 1789071 which did not help

 

2. Error calculating transport track for system SID-500. See application log

 

a)STMS and transport routes look fine for the satellite system landscape,maintained tp parameters correctly. Also, in LMDB and in SOLAR_ADMIN_PROJECT transaction, no errors on system landscape test and could display transport routes by clicking on "shipping routes".

 

b) Applied OSS Note  2065388 to see if this can help getting more information on track errors but no luck

 

c) No additional details found in SLG1

 

3.No track for project Z_HPR_EHP7 with log. system SID/500

 

This error seems to be related  to mentioned in point 2.

SAP Solution Manager 7.2 MS Sql Win 2012 R2 installation problem

Hi Solman Guru,

 

I've trying to install Solman 7.2 on my win 2012 R2 virtual machine an I have problem with my sapinst SPWM. It looks that my OS os not configured properly to install Solman 72.  Solman 7.2 Installation guides are ,as always SAP do ,  poorly written and confusing.

 

My Win 2012 R2 HW configuration is:

Swap space is 22 Gb

RAM is 8GB

 

 

The below is section of the sapinst_dev log file  but just lines where you have ERROR word!!

managed system configuration

Hi ,

I am configuring abap system in managed system configuration in solution manager and I have some problems. In step 3: Maintain RFCs when I am entering managed system user credentials and test the login, I am receiving the error:

 

Error during connection to system SID / 001: Error when opening an RFC connection (CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPOCMINT' : cmRc=20 thRc=497 Unable to determine host address: ).


How can I troubleshoot this error?

POPUP box window too small

Hi Team,

 

We are using Solution Manager 7.1 SP 10,

My question is related to POPUP window box like every time I select the drop down for the components field in the scope section, it keeps resizing the popup window very small with every action I take (for instance, I resize to make the popup bigger, but when I hit the enter key, it automatically resizes back to being small.

 

Please guide me.

Error: Not linked to an active project cycle

Hi Expert,

 

We are using Solman 7.1 & SP10,

 

I am not able to set the status "Confirmed" even retrofit was done.

But in Action Tab only one option is there "Start retrofit" no "confirmed"

 

Error: DetailsNot linked to an active project cycle

 

System Response

The transaction is in a inconsistent status and the transport functions cannot be used to create or distribute transport requests.

Procedure

- Assign the transaction to a active project cycle

- Make sure the cycle task list is in active status

- Check project configuration by clicking "Check" button manually in transaction SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN under tab "System Landscape" and sub-tab "Change Management".

 

 

  • The Current phase of Normal change is "in Development with release"
  • Project is Active
  • Also check Project configuration everything is green.

Issue With BPO Dashboard Analytical Key

Hello Experts,

 

I have created several BPO Dashboards and all are working good. But I am facing issue with one of BPO dashboard.

 

I have below requirement from Client.

 

Sales Documents (Created) : Measures the number of Sales Documents created in defined timeframe.

 

Purpose : " The Sales Documents (Created) key figures measures the number of sales documents created each day based on the selection parameters entered.

 

Now I am facing issue with Analytical Key. I am getting only below options for category and drilldown.

Can you please advice me which key figures I have to select for Category and drilldown. I want dashboard for sales order created for each day.

 

Please advice which X-axis and Y-axis I have to select..

SOLMAM_SETUP error HTTP Code 407 : Proxy Authentication Required")

Hi Team ,

We have just performed upgrade of our SAP solution Manager from 7.1

SP10

tp SOLMAN 7.1 SP13 along with Migration from Windows 2008 Server/SQL

server 2008 to Windows 2012 Server/SQL server 2012 platform.

 

While we are working in the tx- SOLMAN_SETUP on System Preparation

we are getting error in the step "Set Authentication Policy for the

Agents" and the "Configure Web dispatcher" the common error on both

step

is

"SOAP:1.007 SRT: Unsupported xstream found: ("HTTP Code 407 : Proxy

Authentication Required")"


We facing this error in multiple places & can't proceed further.

BRFplus to determine the Support Team and Support User

Hello All,

 

We are using Solman 7.1 SP13 ITSM in our company. I'm able to determine Support team with BRF Plus ( Support Team Determination via Business Rule Framework plus - SAP IT Service Management on SAP Solution Manager - SCN Wi…)

 

In the article that I mention above, I can only determine Support Team by the rules. I can create more than one input parameters (component, sold the party etc. )  ant it's working fine.

But I can not determine the Support user as output in that decision table. Because I can only select Support_team in rule set. Is there any way to determine Support User with Support Team? We have a very big support team and want to determine end user.

Unable to assign the diagnostics agents to a new system :-(

Dear experts,

 

I have installed a new Java system in our landscape. Now I am going through the pain for adding it

to our Solution Manager. Like all the other systems - we have 2 hosts - an App server and a DB server.

We are using physical and virtual hostnames. The SAP systems are using the virtual hostnames.

Some time ago, we had an SAP consultant here, who advised to install the diagnostics agents without

a hostname and this has been working very well - UNTIL NOW!

So, I have installed the Diagnostics agent once by just launching sapinst, it didn't work, then I tried once

more by launching sapinst SAPINST_USE_HOSTNAME=<virtual_hostname> and then in both cases

I was deleting the hostname at the first dialog in the course of the installation.

So, no matter what I do - In step 3 of the managed system setup - Assign Diagnostics Agent - I don't

get the opportunity to assign the correct agents !! I have also tried the Auto Assign button, which had

been working before - it gives the following error message:

No available Diagnostics Agent found for assignment to <virtual_hostname>.


This is starting to be REALLY annoying, please kindly help me !!

During hana migration the solution manager self service

Hi All,

 

While doing hana migration in BW system from oracle to HANA there is a solution manager self service which offers which are the tables not required to migrate ( i.e. like basis table or system tables Row based ) need to keep housing those tables.

 

Any one know about this self service please let me know details on this at early

Hi,

 

I have called the transaction SOLAR02 and created a manual test case.

SM:RCD_CHECK_UPDATES job failing with no authorization error..

Dear All,

In our solution manager 7.1 system the background job SM:RCD_CHECK_UPDATES is failing.

The job log :

Job started

Step 001 started (The program RCSU_AUTO_NOTIFY_AND_DWLD, variant , user ID SOLMAN_BTC)

Job SM: RAPID_CONTENT_DELIVERY_STARTED

Benutzer verfugt nicht uber die relevente berechtigung zum download(User Does not have relevant auth to Download)

Internal session terminated with run time error.ST22

 

Rapid content delivery setup is done properly and all the prerequisites are in place.

Automatic download of patches is marked with yes.

The user SOLMAN_BTC is having full authorization.

The same case is with the other job SM : CSU_DOWNLOAD_DELIVERY.

 

The ST22 abap dump is attached

Urgent: How to change Alert.Severity for EEM Script Availabilty from 5 to 8

Hi Community,

 

for those of you who are working between Christmas and New Year, i do have an urgent question, request for help.

 

I decide to use EEM Scripts for monitoring Availability of Application Server based on the statements in FAQ - End-User Experience Monitoring - SCN Wiki. Its shows this picture with and outlines that in SP10 Alert Name changed and "Because it is not possible to change this severity value it was decided to hide it"

 

My conclusion -> Severity = 8 and not changeable. That would fit into my solution where we pick up the respective MAI Alerts with Third-Party Adapter like for other MAI Alerts.

 

BUT in our SolMan SP13 System we always get Alerts with Severity 5!

Meanwhile we found Change_severity_for_reporting - End-User Experience Monitoring - SCN Wiki But the corresponding transparent ABAP Table which you can access under: application /sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/eem_severity forsees 5 as the maxium value to assign to an Error Code.

 

For me a big contradiction!.

Does anybody have an idea to change Alert Severty to 8?

 

Or can confirm that my initial conclusion from the FAQ was wrong. In this case the author Marc Arnold Bach should add that for fact for clarity

SOLMAM_SETUP SSO Setup ICF Error when receiving the response: ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED

While working in the SSO setup step in the SOLMAN_SETUP , I am getting the attached error.

already not getting where it is failing.

Below is the value for the ICM

Auto-reaction failed to trigger email

Hi,

I am currently configuring auto-reaction to trigger email upon when there is an alert triggered in the Solution Manager. This is what I did:

 

1. Made sure SAPCONNECT background job is running under SAP* user ID. (Every 5 minutes)

2. SCOT (SMTP) is configured properly - configured for address type "Internet"

3. I have also configured auto-reaction methods and alerts with user say, 'XXXX'

4. Central System Dispatching is activated with same user 'XXXX'

5. Also, I made sure that the user ID from which the alert emails has an email address associated in 'SU01'.

6. I used the function module 'SALO_EMAIL_IN_CASE_OF_ALERT' for the autoreaction method.

 

I see the alerts in transaction 'Solution_Manager'. For example, 'It shows me a list of aborted jobs'. I have associated the autoreaction with MTE 'R3BPServerSpecAbortedJobs' to trigger an email if there is an alert from this MTE. But, the SAPCONN-INT background job that runs every 5 minutes doesn't detect any alerts at all. Can someone throw some light over this?
