BPCA-CHARM integration: BPCA creation action not available

Hi Gurus,

 

I am working on integrating BPCA with ChaRM in solution manager. Our solution manager system is 7.1 SP12. I want to enable 'Create BPCA Analysis ' action in ChaRM so that I can trigger BPCA session from within the particular request for change.

 

I see that this functionality/action is not available with the standard Charm business role : 'SOLMANPRO'. I am unable to locate from where exactly I have to enable this option.

 

I am attaching a screenshot of a document which shows this option. The image is not very clear. Apologies for that.

Issue while creating Semi Dynamic TBOMs

Hello All,

 

I have created BPS using RBPD. After that I have activated UPL in managed systems. Now data is coming daily in data cube (RSA1-> OSM_UPL).

 

Now, I am creating semi-dynamic TBOM. but I am facing an issue while execution.

While click on execute, nothing happened. generally it should schedule job. But here nothing happened.

CALL_FUNCTION_NO_DEST

Hello Experts,

 

I got the following error: CALL_FUNCTION_NO_DEST RFC destination "SM_SCP_CLNT100_BACK" does not exist. This is a copy from another system and the program RDSWP_ISSUE_REFRESH is still looking for this RFC that does not exist anymore.

Managed System Configuration does not have edit Mode

Hi Experts ,

 

I am in need to do the  Managed System Configuration for the Adding PI Domain in order to perform PI Monitoring Configuration .

 

I have tried to Open the Managed System Configuration Page through Solman_Workcenter tab , But still unable to see the Edit Option to perform the Managed System Configuration . Please find the screen shot attached for the same.

Hi Experts,

 

I have configured my Solution Manager system for Data Volume Management and activated DVM data to be available in EWA report.

 

For my solution manager system I am getting the DVM data captured in my EWA Alert, for other ABAP systems I am not getting any rating for DVM(please find the attached screenshot).

 

I doubt that the said background jobs were not scheduled in my system, can someone tell me the background jobs name which will be scheduled  in the target system for collecting the data?

Third Party Log from Database

When running CBTA test script using the foreground Scheduling (eCATT Foreground Scheduler), the ‘Third Party Log from Database’ is not showed in the Log Display.

Does anyone know why? And if there is any solution to this, so the ‘Third Party Log from Database’ also is stored in the LOG for scheduled tests?

Unable to Select the PI domain

Hi Experts ,

 

 

I have tried to Add the PI Domain during the PI Monitoring Setup but while trying to create the PI Domain , I cannot see the connected PI Domain Option editable , does it means that our Central SLD is not yet connected to the Solman LMDB .

We have Local SLD and Central SLD in our landscape , How to synchronize both ?

We are trying to configure PI Monitoring in the Solution Manager .

 

But that we have found that Solution Manager also have Local SLD .

 

Kindly suggest that how to synchronize the Central SLD with the Solution Manager Local SLD in order to proceed with the PI Monitoring configuration.

Hello All,

 

I have created solution and have setup monitoring objects as well. I got alerts as well. I have setup dashboards as well and they are working fine.

 

Now the problem is, I am not able to find my solution in ANALYTICS.

I go to SAP Workcenter -> Business Process Monitoring (NEW) -> Analytics. I have select Apply Time Frame. but I am not able to find my solution in Analytics.

SOLMAN 7.1 SP11 ITSM : EMAIL Configuration with a fixed SENDER

Hi Experts,

 

Currently, I am working on a ITSM configuration. Configuration is complete, but since the users are going to be from multiple email domains, I need to ensure all the ITSM communication is from a fixed sender : SOLMAN_ADMIN.

 

 

Requirement is :-

 

  1. Email to reporter at the time of status change by SOLMAN_ADMIN
  2. Email to processor at the time of status change by SOLMAN_ADMIN
  3. Email to assigned group at the time incident is assigned by SOLMAN_ADMIN with details of reports etc. The group email should be like a SAP's distribution list.

 

Action taken so far :-

 

  • In Action profile SMIN_STD, action definition "SMIN_STD_MAIL_PROCESSOR" & SMIN_STD_MAIL_FORM has been activated.
  • ZMIN is mapped to action profile SMIN_STD.
  • SMIN_STD_MAIL_REPORTER & SMIN_STD_MAIL_PROCESSOR has been modified for "Schedule Condition" as &STATUS_CHANGE& = X

  • BPs of users are maintained with email ids.

 

Issue as of now:-

 

1. Emails are getting triggered but by the requestor's id but not from solman_admin.

2. At times even the email was not getting triggered which i addressed by note : 1521582, but still even in scot the mails are not visible.

 

 

Kindly advise on the issue, my last resort will be to raise an oss message.

SM:RCD_CHECK_UPDATES job failing with no authorization error..

Dear All,

In our solution manager 7.1 system the background job SM:RCD_CHECK_UPDATES is failing.

The job log :

Job started

Step 001 started (The program RCSU_AUTO_NOTIFY_AND_DWLD, variant , user ID SOLMAN_BTC)

Job SM: RAPID_CONTENT_DELIVERY_STARTED

Benutzer verfugt nicht uber die relevente berechtigung zum download(User Does not have relevant auth to Download)

Internal session terminated with run time error.ST22

 

Rapid content delivery setup is done properly and all the prerequisites are in place.

Automatic download of patches is marked with yes.

The user SOLMAN_BTC is having full authorization.

The same case is with the other job SM : CSU_DOWNLOAD_DELIVERY.

 

The ST22 abap dump is attached

How to delete the old customer to sync the customer list with SAP

Hi,

 

We have some old customers (Organizations) configured in our solution manger system who are no more supported by us but still show up as sold-to-party in our system. How should I delete those customers with their users?

 

Also when we logon to SAP market place to report an incident for our customer, we see the list of our VAR supported customer which need to be sync with our solution manger, I see some old customers whom we are not supported, what is the procedure to delete them from there?

Data Separation in Solman 7.1 SP12

We have implemented technical monitoring in Solman 7.1 SP12 succesfully in our company. Now we want to extend this funcionality to others users, but we are facing problems with authorizations to avoid a user can view systems and alerts out of his control.  We have create a test user as a copy of SM_L1 (Step 3 in Technical monitoring -> Standard Users), but this user see all systems and alerts in Alert Inbox. Modifying the role I have got to filter only for one system in Technical Monitoring->System Monitoring, but the user continues having access to all alerts in Alert Inbox.

 

As far as I know we can use data separation for MOPz and it works fine, but my question is if is it possible for technical monitoring scenario.

 

I have review information about to assign Business Partner in LMDB, but It does not influence in my case. I do not want to configure data separation in my Solman if it is not obligatory. because we would need to create all infrastructure around it.

Send Mail to IT head for Production approval charm

Hi all,

 

We have a requirement to send mail to IT Head for Production approval after confirmation of successful testing. 

 

as far as I understand Urgent change only sends mail to Change manager for Production approval.

 

is there any way for action to pick-up IT head BP for sending mail.

 

How can we achieve this ?

How to process incidents which created in old number range

Hi,

 

We changed the new number range for the ZMIN transaction, but some incidents which are related to old number ranges are still in Process.

 

When I try to change the old incidents,its Status shows "Completed In Process Printed" and doesn't allow any change to incident.

 

Please suggest,how to fix this issue to process the old incidents.

Solution Manager 7.1 solman_setup very slow

Hi,

 

I have installed Solution Manager 7.1 and made some basic configuration as well as running SGEN. I can browse solman_setup through firefox to setup users. In the system preparation I have only managed to setup SOLMAN_ADMIN user,  when I want to setup all the other users as well any other configuration in the browser it is taking forever to load such that I cannot even setup all the other users and do all the required config in system preparation. I would appreciate if you can suggest how I can resolve this issue.

 

OS: Windows Server 2012 Standard

Database: SQL Server 2012

SAP Kernel Release : 721

Support package level: SAPK70209(support package 09 for 7.02)

Business Blueprint in Solman 7.2

Hi All,

 

A very Happy new year to all... !!!

 

As SAP is gearing up for release of Solman 7.2 in 2016, I have few queries w.r.t Business Blueprint(BB).

 

  1. In 7.1 we have multiple ways to create BB like RBPD, Manual, BPR etc. So will these options will still remain in 7.2 or it will be only through Application Component Hierarchy (ACH). ?
  2. Will I be able to migrate my 7.1 BB  to 7.2 even though BB was generated using RBPD/Manual/BPR
  3. If i have used ACH in 7.1 itself for BB, will it have more advantages while migrating to 7.2 ?

once i have created incident in solution manger one mail will be triggered. but it's not in proper alignment , so i want to modify the alignment of body as per my requirement. please help me on this one.

Unable to assign the diagnostics agents to a new system :-(

Dear experts,

 

I have installed a new Java system in our landscape. Now I am going through the pain for adding it

to our Solution Manager. Like all the other systems - we have 2 hosts - an App server and a DB server.

We are using physical and virtual hostnames. The SAP systems are using the virtual hostnames.

Some time ago, we had an SAP consultant here, who advised to install the diagnostics agents without

a hostname and this has been working very well - UNTIL NOW!

So, I have installed the Diagnostics agent once by just launching sapinst, it didn't work, then I tried once

more by launching sapinst SAPINST_USE_HOSTNAME=<virtual_hostname> and then in both cases

I was deleting the hostname at the first dialog in the course of the installation.

So, no matter what I do - In step 3 of the managed system setup - Assign Diagnostics Agent - I don't

get the opportunity to assign the correct agents !! I have also tried the Auto Assign button, which had

been working before - it gives the following error message:

No available Diagnostics Agent found for assignment to <virtual_hostname>.


This is starting to be REALLY annoying, please kindly help me !!
