cCTS and Virtual Clusters

Hi All,

 

I am prototyping a scenario where advanced development for a project occurs in a Sandbox, and we would like to automate the movement of code into our Development system. I am trying to create a logical component containing the Sandbox as the Development system, a Virtual system as a Production system, and our Development system as the Retrofit Target system.

 

I have been able to create the virtual systems in LMDB and add them to the cluster, but when I am checking the Project before creation of the task list, I get the errors, "There is no active transport track for project *******" and "No active transport track; cCTS cluster assignment check not possible".

 

Has anyone been able to do anything similar or utilized virtual systems with cCTS?


SPS20 patch - problem with the Queue in SPAM

Hi,

 

Have a Solman 7 EHP1dual stack installation. Solaris10. Oracle10.2.0.4. Java and Kernel have been successfully patched. So kernel is 7.01-39. Now I want to do the ABAP side. Maintenenace certificate is valid. Have run into problems with the queue.

 

First I of course need to update SPAM/SAINT and for this I have the 701/35 in the EPS/in directory among with the entire SPS20 unpacked files.

 

SPAM Import...The SAPKD70135 is being imported....then I get "The complete import of OCS package SAPKIPYJ7B has not yet been confirmed". So, I click on the Confirm Queue button...but it just says the OCS package queue is empty. So, how do I confirm it then? Or can I just not simply clean out everything from the queue and buffers and all else and just start from a freash beginning? 

 

Not able to release the Change Request (ZMCR) for development

Hello All,

 

We are getting error while changing the status of CR from 'Approved' to 'Release for Development'. Normal or Urgent change is supposed to be generated with  the status change.

 

Error Message: Change Documents cannot be generated

 

Diagnosis:

IBase Component: Correctly assigned

Maintenance cycle Phase: Development with Release

System Role: Production system

 

Please help in resolving the issue.

JSM with ChaRM on SPS13

Hi All,

 

I am currently Setting up JSM with Integration to ChaRM on SOLMAN SPS13. This is what I have configured so far -

 

  • ChaRM functionality configured completely.
  • SOLMAN_SETUP carried out for Job Management with ZMCR as Default.
  • Able to create Job Requests which does create a ZMCR Request for Change
  • The JSM assignment block also Shows up the Job Requests created initially.
  • I also see this JR link in the ZMAD Change document.
  • However, JR assignment block in ZMAD Change document doesn't have the usual create etc Buttons for Job creation, even though the Change document Status is "in process"
  • I can only see the Central Processing scheduling button, which is not useful to me.

 

Could someone be so Kind to check this and let me know what I am missing in the configuration or is this is a bug?

Integration ChaRM (SMCR) with JSM

Hi ,

 

While reading about Integrating JSM with ChaRM, i find that we have to follow attached screenshot steps to confirm Integration.

 

But in those steps, it says I have to copy SDCR_Actions_job_Request profile.

 

But I ma using Solman 7.1 and SMCR for Request for Change.

 

There is no such action like SMCR_Actions_job_Request.

 

So, what should I copy ?? Can please anyone help here.

 

and also what should I map in Subject ?? as there is also IMG path to map Subject in screenshot.

ITSM: Multilevel Categorization

Hi,

 

I am trying to setup IT Service Management (Service Desk) in Solution Manager 7.1 SP12 and am facing issues while working with multilevel categorization.

My user has been assigned the business role SOLMANPRO (role configuration key is maintained and I have enabled the configuration mode in CRM UI). ITSM related roles are also assigned to my ID.

The custom transaction type (ZMIN in my case) has been assigned to the catalog category (D Defect Locations/Object Part) in SPRO.

 

The example schema SAP_SOLUTION_MANAGER_TEMPLATE had been activated. I created a new schema as a copy of this template and created the category hierarchy under this. Schema status is 'Draft'.

However, I am not able to assign my transaction type to this schema under the 'Application Area' section.

When I click on 'New' button, the following line gets added -

Business Activity     Subject Profile     Activity Reason

I don't get the dropdown option to select anything in the above three fields.

Also, the 'delete' button under 'Application Area' block in the Schema is disabled so I am not able to delete the standard entries either.

 

I checked the CRM_CATEGO authorization object and it is maintained correctly.

[Activity: Create or generate, Change, Display, Delete, extended maintenance, Release etc

Schemastatus: Draft, Released, Deployed, Active

Object Links: *

Application ID: Incident, Knowledge Article, Problem

Part: application area, category, object links, schema]

This object is added in SUPPDESK_CONFIG role which is assigned to my user ID.

 

By default the subject profile 'ACT000001' gets populated to my created schema if I try to add anything in application area. Again the subject profile field is not editable.

 

Could someone please suggest as to how I can delete the standard entries and add my custom transaction type in application area of the schema?

SAP Web Dispatcher 7.42 System Monitoring

Hi,

 

I am in the process of setting up monitoring for our Web Dispatchers. I have completed the managed systems config with the following product instances:

During template assignment, I cannot assign a template because Installed products is blank:

Problems on LMDB/SLD sync process for duplicated hostnames

Hello forum,

 

That problem only occurs while setup the solution manager scenario in a VAR where managed systems are from different customers, that share sames "common" system ID and hostname like "PRD(sapprd)".

 

The problem start on SLD where there only can exist one system ID by the same hostname as indicated on SLD help:

 

A unique identifier for the computer system, as determined by CIM_System. Use any type of network name here, which must be unique in the system landscape, otherwise the network cannot work. For this reason, be careful when you merge two landscapes from separate networks. The name formats are predefined in CIM_ComputerSystem; SAP uses a subset of them (see the VALUEMAP of NameFormat). Alternative names (aliases, multiple network adapters) have to written to OtherIdentifyingInfo[]. Identifying host names in SLD must be written lower case without any network domain. This implies to use different System Landscape Directories for network domains having name conflicts at this level. The typical reason for such naming conflicts are multiple IT organisations being merged over time.

 

And the problem continues with LMDB sync process, LMDB create a technical system for each time that SLD has change that PRD from different data supplies, but if there is anyone more technical system with the same system ID and hostname LMDB delete it ¡¡

 

To try help you to understand the issue i try to create a picture with the process and problem:

I search information on forums, debugg, sap notes, etc... but only find information about how to delete duplicates entries in LMDB/SLD; but i need that duplicate hostname that share system ID and hostname and not installation number and system number.

 

Relevant notes that I check:

A Solution for that is to have a new one SLD for each duplicate system ID and hostname,but is not suitable to setup a SLD avery time that could happens, at the moment we have a lot of PRD on sapprd, DEV on sapdev, SMP on sapsmp, etc...

 

Anyone now a solution for that ?

Not all transports request yet released - CHARM status change to pass to test

Hi,

 

We have implemented CHARM for our ECC landscape DEV/QAS/PRD and solution manager 7.1 SPS10.

Once the request for change is created and approved and released for development. Developer puts it in development and once the development is complete when he is trying to "PASS changes to test" the process runs for some time and gives the following message.

 

"Not all the transport request yet Released"

"Status was reset by System"

 

But when I check all the task under the transport request are released. Once I select the "recheck transaction" and try to change the status second time to "Pass change to test" and successfully releases and import the request to QAS system.

 

Not sure why it is not doing the first time and second time when I am doing the recheck transaction and try again it works perfectly fine.

 

please help in resolving the issue.

How to change Self Monitoring Thresholds in SOLMAN 7.1 SP8?

I'm wondering if there is an option to change Self Monitoring Thresholds in SOLMAN 7.1 SP8? I'm getting so many SOLMAN Self Monitoring alert's emails, so looking forward to adjust the thresholds (if this is possible at all)?

Tester field should be auto-fill.

Hi all,

 

We have a requirement to auto fills Tester Field in ChaRM (ZMHF).

 

 

We need "Requester name to be filled automatically in Tester Field" whenever Urgent change (ZMHF) created.

 

I have tried using IB52 but it is saving only for one Business partner. but for every RFC requester is different.

may be we can acheive using partner determination.

 

 

Please suggest.

Diagnostic Agent registered with SolMan - But does not appear in Agent Admin or "Connect Diagnostic Agent" Step of System Preparation

Hi Experts,

 

Diagnostic Agent is already installed on SAP Solution Manager Server, But it was not registered with SAP Solution Manager System. So ni performed below steps and connected the same with SAP Solution Manager by using below command

 

1. stopsap.exe name=DAA nr=98 SAPDIAHOST=XXXXX

2. smdsetup.bat managingconf hostname:"sapms://hostname" port:"81<Instance Number>" user:"SMD_ADM" pwd:"XXXXXX"

3. startsap.exe name=DAA nr=98 SAPDIAHOST=XXXXX

 

all above steps were performmed successfully, I also got the sucess message. But still I cannot see the Diagnostics Agent of Solution Manager for which i performed above steps appearing in Agent Adminstration screen or Step 6.6 of System Preparation <Connect Diagnostic Agent>

 

Can anyone please letme know if there is any mistake in above steps or there is anything else i need to perform in order to get this DAA appeared in Agent Admin page and Connect DA steps of System Preparation.

Auto import based on Categorisation in the Change Document

Hello,

 

My client is on Solman Version 7.1 SP08 and we have the following functional requirements within ChaRM: -

 

Background

 

ZMCR Change Request configured (copy of SMCR) and ZMMJ Std Change (copy of SMMJ) and ZMHF Urgent Change (copy of SMHF) also configured.

 

Multi Level Categorization set up at Levels 1 to 3 on the Change Request/Change Document with Level 1 configured to be Catalogue, Change, Consultancy or Incident.

 

Requirements

 

Upon status 'Successfully Tested' being set in the Change Document and where the category at Level 1 is 'Catalogue' only then there is a requirement to automatically import these into the Production system.

 

I have seen some threads around Status Dependent Import (The Hidden Treasure of ChaRM) and also the New Import Strategy : Selective Import Solman - SP10 but no appear to provide a solution to my requirements?

 

Any suggestions/recommendations would be appreciated!!

Test Profile issue while executing CBTA

Hi All,

 

I have setup CBTA and it worked earlier. now I have again setup it for another system.

 

I have maintained System Data Container (SDC) (For Quality Assurance System). Also I have configured SUT (For Quality Assurance System).

 

Now the problem is, I am getting Test Profile issue while executing CBTA.

Here in Test Profile, I am not able to find any Test Profile even though I have created for this one. Also In data container I have selected global system role but here it is showing as Project.

 

Also System shown as System role is Development System in place of Quality Assurance System. It has to be Quality Assurance System.


Even I have selected Quality Assurance System for SolDoc Project also.

 

Can you please assist, what the issue is.

EEM End User Experience Monitoring Scripts

Several EEM scripts were recorded based on real transaction codes and master data in production ECC system.

 

Now my client wants to find if it's possible not to execute these transactions with relevant master data , but still run the scripts.

 

Is it possible at all? Any ideas?

Is it possible to restrict test results within a project

Is it possible to restrict who can view Test Scenarios and Test Results within the same project?  We have one Master Project, and our HR data needs to be visible only to our HR team.  I have not been able to find an authorization object I could use to limit visibility.  Thanks in advance for any information.

IBase component is not a production system in system landscape

Dear experts,

 

I am using Solman 7.1 SP 14.

 

I have successfully configured ZMMJ and can use this up until production.

 

I want to use the same project (which is working and has an open maintenance cycle and task list) for ZMHF. But on change creation i get the following:

 

 

I am sure it is not an authorization issue as I have SAP_ALL both in Solman and the managed system (which is also Solman as I am testing on DEV for now).

 

The error appears even before project and Ibase selection. The error does not dissappear after I select the correct project and Ibase.

 

Any suggestions?

Status change in CR when multiple follow-up docs exist

Hi there,

 

we are working with the ChaRM 7.1 processes (SP12). Change Request, Normal Change, Urgent Change are copies of SAP-Standard.

 

With 7.1 SAP introduced the possibility to connect more than one change document to one change request. We are using this feature. Now, when one of the connected changes is imported into production, the status of the change request is set to "implemented" regardless of what status the other connected changes have. This is - to our understanding - not correct. The status of CR should remain "being implemented" as long as at least one is not yet imported into production. Or with other words, the last change document receiving the status "imported into PROD" is allowed to change the status of the CR (last one shuts down the lights).

 

Is there any way to achieve this with SAP standard? The consistency check "PREDOC_CAN_BE_SET" is not doing this.

SLD problem

Hello,

 

 

 

I've have errors in step 6.1 of solman_setup. I setup local SLD successfully and I can open (http) it in browser and logon to it with SLDDSUSER user.

 

However when I try to save in step 6.1 I get error:

 

 

 

Failed to connect to SLD server iss.intern.zz:50000. Please check details. -> Error in processing of HTTP request: (110)HTTPIO_PLG_CANCELED

 

 

 

In ICM log I can see error message that coincide with the time of SLD save in step 6.1:

*** ERROR => IcmConnConnect: No service for protocol HTTP started [icxxconn_mt. 2423]

 

 

 

I am using https in ICM and it works.

 

 

 

I will mention that in step 5.1 I chose "No SAP Web Dispatcher used" and when I saved it, it passed with green light but there were error messages:

 

 

Green - L3 - Test WS can be reached through System Settings (ICM/HTTPURLLOC): https://iss.intern.zz:443

Red - L2 - Failed to reach test WS through ICM: https://iss.intern.zz:443

Red - L1 - Failed to call test WS on J2EE dispatcher node: http://iss.intern.zz:50000

 

 

 

What is more confiusing is Red - L1 message, as I can open from browser http://iss.intern.zz:50000 and SLD too.

 

 

 

I noticed that if I put in step 6.1 for SLD server iss.intern.zz:443 with HTTPS checked it can be saved and passes with green light but that is clearly wrong.

 

I added in ICM and HTTP connection and now step 6.1 passes. Is there a way to resolve this without enabling HTTP in ICM?

 

 

 

Any idea how to resolve this?
