SOLMAN_SETUP tcode, gets freeze

Hello All, thanks in advance for helping on this.. i am facing an issue with a solution manager system, when i try to enter into the solman_admin tcode, the browser (loads perfect) all the components of the window came out ok.. but when i try to click any option on the screen .. simple, doesnt work.. i have tried to click anything and nothing happens.. this kind of urgen i have a couple of days fighting with this.. please help me to find a light

Maintenance Planner / Landscape Fetch Errors

Hi

The System Data in Maintenance Planner is outdated.

 

The Job LANDSCPAE_FETCH seems to run succesful (SM37). However, I was trying to use Maintenance Planner Application and realised the system data there is outdated (last update: August 2014)

 

Then I started digging, which led me to SLG1 / AI_LMDB / SUPPORT_PORTAL_SYNC

Here it says:

 

Systems to be synchronized determined
Sending 18 systems to SAP Support Portal
The following error messages have been returned by SAP Support Portal:
The system constellation is empty
Detailed system information are required if you want to upload data to the Maintenance planner and work with the system(s) there
See http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-49527 ->
Uploading, Accessing, and Trouble-Shooting ...
Sent
Synchronized: 0 systems synchronized, 18 systems failed

 

I can upload data successfully to SAP Support Portal via LMDB -> Product System Maintenance.

CR content is current SP11

LMDB says "Status OK"

 

Do you guys have any idea why data upload to Support Portal is not working as expected?

Regarding Error at Run Jload

Dear Sir,

 

I am trying to install Soluton Manager 7.1 on Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise Server Edition with IBM DB6 database.

 

I am getting error at 27 phase i.e. Run Jload that Couldn't connect to databse.

 

Also when i check Jload.java log file it will  shows "java.lang.outof MemoryError : Requested Array size Exceeds VM limit"

 

Please give me solution on it . I try to find way on internet but i couldn't.

Detecting user status change in actions

Dears,

 

I've read the discussion in this topic:

Email on Status Change

and SAP Note 865619. I've implemented the solution in the same way it is described there. Unfortunately fm CRM_STATUS_READ_OW never has such results that below criteria are met:

  active = 'X'

  active_old = ' '.

There is always situation that both fields (active and active_old) are true. Hence, I'm not able to check whether user status has been changed. I want to send the email only when status changes.

 

Do you have any ideas how to resolve this issue?

Workflow-System triggers PPF action - E-Mail gets generated TWICE

Hi all,

I experience a very strange behaviour of the solution manager as described in PPF Action Definition sends E-Mail notification twice

We set up PPF actions to generate E-Mails depending on the status of an incident.

 

However, everytime a reporter replies to a E-Mail that was generated due to PPF actions and the reporter then switches the status back to trigger another reply E-Mail to the reporter this action is processed TWICE (see screenshot).

 

 

Is there any setting within the Workflow of the E-Mail inbound scenario where I can stop this behaviour?

Exception while pushing DPC configuration to Willy

Hi Experts,

 

I am facing issue while performing the automatic configuration step in Basic Configuration step of SAP Solution Manager 7.1 which is on SP 11.

 

I am facing issue at activity "Push DPC configuration to Wily", It is executed with error. PFB below error its says

 

The Diagnostics Agent "NAME" was not found.

 

I have also checked the DAA in Solution Manager is working fine and is connected to Solution Manager as well.

 

Can anyone please help me to get this issue resolve.

Solution Manager 7.2 Support Hub Connectivity Errors

Hello,

 

I am trying to configure System Preperation for Solution Manager 7.2 SP01 and getting below error on Support Hub Connectivity.

 

I created a TECH-USER and activated it. When I run "Configure Consumer Proxies and Log. Port" step system gives below error.

 

Web service ping failed for logical port LP_SISE_SUPPORTHUB, proxy CO_SISEHUB_MI_O_AS_PUT_EXTERNA

Web service ping failed for logical port LP_SISE_SUPPORTHUB, proxy CO_SISEHUB_MI_O_S_SHB_LIST

Web service ping failed for logical port LP_SISE_SUPPORTHUB, proxy CO_SISEHUB_MI_O_S_SHB_GET_EX

 

What could be the reason of the error.

 

Can you help about the issue, please?

multiple PRD systems with one development in CHARM

Hi Team,

 

Here is a scenario:

 

  1. One DEV system => DEV(1)
  2. Two Q&A systems => Q&A(1 ), Q&A(2)
  3. Two Pre-PROD systems => P-PRD(1) , P-PRD(2)
  4. Two PROD systems => PRD(1), PRD(2)
  5. One ChaRM Project

 

2 landscapes (assigned to the one ChaRM Project) will look like that:

  1. DEV(1) -> Q&A(1) ->  P-PRD(1) -> PRD(1)
  2. DEV(1) -> Q&A(2) ->  P-PRD(2) -> PRD(2)

 

now my client want to implement the above landscape and the developments will be performed for PRD1 and PRD2 in same client of DEV1.

 

and they want to import the transport parallel till P-PRD1&PPRD2  but they want to import the PRD1 first and later some duration they want to import the PRD2 transport.

 

could you please suggest where and how can we kept on hold this transport which belongs to PRD2 and release after the PRD1.

ITSM : IRT and MPT usage - defined in minutes instead of percentage

Hi Experts,

 

Our requirement is to run a report every day, containing the message and SLA statuses. Within this we would like to get the actual time spent in the IRT and MPT instead of the usual percentages displayed in the standard. Could you please help us to meet this requirement? Is it possible to get the actual time spent data (in minutes or hours) than the displayed percentage values?

SLAs Solution Manager

I create an incident and service request but the SLA's is not starting But if I change the priority the SLAs begins.

I assign a priority by default, I configure the service profile, response profile, SLA determination procedure, service product and assign service & response profile to service product.

I assign the service product to multilevel categorization.

SM71: Managed System Configuration: IDES EhP4

Hi

I have an IDES EhP4 XXX which I want to connect to my Solution Manager 7.1 SPS3 as managed system. I already updated the ST-PI & ST/A-PI Plugins. finally I want to be able to perform Maintenance Optimizer Tasks on the system.

 

If I start the Landscape Verification Tool it says "Product system XXX has multiple active standalone product versions" and "Some software components not covered by configured product instances".

As Product version I have the choice between "NetWeaver", "ERP 6.0", "AUTO-ID Infrasctructure" & "CRM" - but I don't know for sure which one to choose; NetWeaver and ERP sound equally reasonable.

In step "Product Instances", I have a huge list of about 80 (in case of Product version ERP 6.0) instances which are again split up into "EhP 4 for SAP ERP 6.0" and  "EhP 4 for SAP ERP 6.0 / NW 7.01" - again, I don't know which one to choose.

 

Additionally, if I confirm Versions and Instances by gut feeling, Landscape verification still throws warnings, and sometimes settings are overwritten by the Landscape verification sync or it throws an error while saving changes to SMSY.

 

The documents I found online are not very satisfying nor clear in this matter:

Technical monitoring for Web-Dispathcer

Hi Friends,

 

i am configuring technical monitoring for web dispatcher, i have installed SMD Agent in system and also i manually added system into Solution Manager but SMD Agent not able to communicate Web-Dispatcher, SMD Agent service on port 50013 but there is not service on dispatcher with this port.

Solution manager EWA setup for Clustered BO nodes

Hi Experts,

 

I have managed to struggle and set up EWA for a BO test environment.

 

I now have to implement it on my production servers, its a clustered environment with 2 nodes.

 

Diagnostics and SAP host agents have been installed on both the nodes.

 

But I am still unclear and have failed miserably in finding the right document, I want a single EWA report which will show me data from both the servers,

 

Also while doing the managed setup I am not sure how to do it for clustered nodes.

 

Can someone please throw some light in the swamp!

Solman - Dialog Process filled by SM_EXTERN_WS / SAPLSYDB

Hi,

 

we are facing the problem, did already see it more time, that nearly all dialog processes are full by user SM_EXTERN_WS and report SAPLSYDB.

I've found one note regarding kernel-patch, which I will apply.

But does anybody know, what is executing this processes. Is it a job or something else?
Becuase I think it is something from BI/BW.

 

Can I limit the proceses for this?

Cant able to access the SLD in solman!!!!!

Dear Experts,

 

 

When i tried to access the SLD in solman by entering (http://<host>:<port>/sld),   it shows the

Java.PNG

 

 

"SAP Netweaver AS Java is starting....

if this state does not change within a few minutes, please contact your administrator...

Message: Dispatcher running but no server connected!"



 

Kindly pls find the attached files of this and MMC screenshot.

EWA not appearing for BOE system

Dear Team,

I am configuring EWA for 2 managed systems which are BOE. I have followed the below links to make it happen:

 

End to End EWA Setup of BOE 4.0 System in Solution Manager 7.1 - Solution Manager - SCN Wiki

 

Managed System Setup of BOE 4.0 system in Solman 7.1 - SAP Solution Manager Setup - SCN Wiki

 

I have done all the steps mentioned in the links

 

1. Installed SMD Agent in both Managed Systems

2. Installed Wily Introscope agents in Both Managed systems

3. Installed Host agent in Both Managed Systems

4. installed Wily introscope EM in Solution Manager system

5. Triggered SLD of BO system to Solution Manager SLD through Auto Configure tool

6. Completed all the steps in Auto Configure Tool ( all in green)

7. In Introscpoe EM, I could see all the Managed system data reflecting.

8. Done Managed system configuration for The BO systems in Solman_setup.

9. Done Managed system Configuration for Tomcat server also

10. Created solution for the managed systems

 

I am not able to generate a report even after executing all these steps. Introscope EM is showing the details and the overview is in Green

 

But the solutions I have created are not reflecting as BO Cluster but displaying it as abap.

 

When I am selecting the solutions, its displaying in RED Flag (Report Not generated).

 

System Details:

 

Solman 7.1 SP04 Windows 2008 MS SQL Server 2008 R2,

BOE BI4.0 and BI 4.1 (Tomcat servers)

OS: windows 2008

 

Could you please somebody help on what I have missed in the configuration?

Technical Monitoring - Watch Security Notes

we are using "System Recommendation" where security notes gets suggested.

Is there also a possibility, to display e.g. security notes in Technical Monitoring?

 

So that we get notified if a security note was released?

Maybe with "Configuration Validation"?

ZMIN SLA IRT Problem

Hi,

we have copied the SMIN to ZMIN and wanted to activate the SLA for our ZMIN as well. This also was successfull, but the IRT intial response time is not stopping the calculation after the first status change.

Can someone explain to me how the logic for IRT works? I could not find any documentation about this or customizing to say that this particular status is the initial status for SLA calculation.
