CHARM TOC VERSION MANAGEMENT ISSUE

HI Experts,

 

             We are using charm in our project for the last 6 months and everything working fine. But now we noticed one conflict as stated below in steps.

 

1.Developer developing a Function module and  saves it in task under the main transport.Lets say this version is version 1.0

2.Developer releases his task and asks basis to transport it to QAS.

3.Basis creates a TOC for the main transport.(TOC is created but not released.)

At this point of time another developer is editing the same Function module and lets say now the current active version for the FM is 2.0

4.Now basis is releasing the TOC.

5.Basis transport TOC to QAS.

 

But while checking in QAS version 2.0 has been transported instead of 1.0.the current version in QAS for the FM is 2.0.

How come version 2.0 has been transported even though the developer saved version 1.0 in his task and released only that task.

Is this a defect of Charm that it will take the version of the FM at the time of releasing the TOC.(While TOC released the developer was editing his FM and the version has changed to 2.0)

Workcenter / Technical Administration inconsistent data

Hi gurus,

 

I'll  try to do some cleanupwork.

/Workcenter/

Landscape/

 

technical System

hosts

database

i

the same also

Technical Adminstration/guided procedures

 

 

It's showing  some - not existent systems - "Technical System/DAtabase/Host "xxxx" not found, might be obsolet"

 

I found these nowhere.- not in LMBD nor SLD

 

Any idea how to get rid of this ?

CDMC Analysis Span

Hi Experts,

 

Got a query regarding the span of CDMC analysis.

 

As I understand, CDMC collects the data in analysis system which is based on ST03. The time span for ST03 is generally 3 months.

 

Question - Is CDMC a continuous process i.e. does it keep on collecting the data in analysis system post these 3 months? Or it it a one time activity of analyzing ST03 data and perform the clearing analysis?

 

In the later case of one time activity, the clearing analysis results may not be practical as many programs will run yearly or quarterly.

 

In short can CDMC collect the data for the duration greater than what is defined in ST03N? If I keep the CDMC jobs for 12 months (not ST03N), will it collect the data for 12 months or only 3 months(assuming ST03N keeps 3 months data)?

 

Looking for expert insights.

CBTA Issue_Local parameters are getting lost for bigger composite test cases

Hi,

We are facing one issue related to disappearing of "Local Parameters" in composite test cases.

 

Typically we observed that if the number of test scripts in one composite test cases are more than 10 then after execution, the local parameters are getting lost.

 

We have raised OSS for this and its in process.

 

I wanted to know if anyone is facing similar issue for bigger Composite test cases.

 

If anyone is has composite scripts with more than 15 CBTA scripts and not facing this issue, it would be really helpful if they are following some specific steps/process for composite script creation.

 

Note--> We are aware about the composite script creation and mappings. Any specific thing to avoid this issue is welcomed.

IE hangs when attaching file to message

Dear Gurus

When trying to add an attachment to message, IE11 opens a new windows and hangs.

It's occurs on at my PC when working on  of our Solman systems.

What is the reason?

CD missing in search list of ChaRM

Hi Expert,

 

 

We are using Solman 7.1 SP10

I was trying to find the CD with search "implementation date" "later than".

But in my search list one CD was missing.

 

If I opened that particular CD which was missing the implementation date is there..

 

After finding the information from table CRMD_CUSTOMER_H.

In this table implementation date was not stored.

 

My question,

Why in the table, implementation date is not save.

From which table the particular CD pickup the information.

Is it from special SP for version 7.1 or 7.2 Release "a must"?

URL to close the ticket

Hello, Experts.

I would like to ask if it is possible to set a status of a ticket to "Closed" via URL.

In the emails to the clients, for example, there is a link to display the ticket, and there the customer can close it from that screen. My requirement is that this is invoked automatically when the link is opened.
I hope I've expressed myself clearly and hope that anyone could give me a hint.

Technical Monitoring: Not able to set template to host. LMDB? Agents?

Hello community,

 

I am trying to configure a Managed System (Technical Monitoring) in SOLMAN 7.1 SP12 and unfortunately I am not able to set a template to the hosts of this system.

 

I am able to monitor SAP and DB, but not the hosts.

 

In LMDB I can see the type of OS in the Host, but SOLMAN_SETUP does not allow me to choose one of the templates, as in the printscreen attached to this post.

 

SLD also has the right OS information.

 

Is there a configuration I need to check? Any note or KBA related?

SLAs MPT not recalculating in Solution Manager 7.1

Dear all

 

We have configured SLA according sap Doc's ... But recalculation of MPT doesn'r work... Total customer duration is counting fine we got for example 61 minutes of it...but Date Due by not changing!!!

Any input ?

Error during PREP_EXTENSION/EHP_INCLUSION for EHP8 upgrade

Has anyone come across this error?  Can I modify the stack file to get around this?

 

I have verified that the stack release in fact does not equal the source release.  The component in question is EHSM 400 SP04 upgrading to EHSM 400 SP05

 

 

Last error code set: Stack file is invalid: component 'EHSM' (stack release = source release, but KEEP not allowed)

NO IT-TASK in SM_WORKCENTER available

Hello together,

 

after Upgrade our SOLMAN with SPS 14, the Report RDSMOP_MAIN is obsolete.

I changed to SM_WORKCENTER--> Technical Admininstration-->IT Task Management

 

So I got the message: User xxx  does not have a valid Business Partner number.

 

I created a User in TCODE: BP,  the System generate a businessnr.

After that I try  to restart the SM_WORKCENTER  , without success.  Same message.

 

I don't know, what to do?  Has anyone an idea?

Third party Sceduler in Job Monitoring

Hi All,

 

Can we be able to monitor Jobs scheduled in third party scheduler (TWS) using Solution Manager.

 

we have a scenario, where Jobs are scheduled in TWS and execution happening in Solution manager.

 

There is a dependency on TWS for monitoring.

 

Is there any way we can perform a monitorin on the third party scheduler -if so how.

BPO dashboard - on BPM data

Hi All,

 

We are in Solution manager 7.1 SP12.

 

we have setup the MAI connector.

 

I have read in a help portal that BPO dashboard data source can be BPA / BPM.

 

Is there any clear documentation on how we get the data from BPM for setting up the BPO dashboard.

 

if so,Kindly share it.

 

Also, Kindly clarify that will we be able to get the data based on the based on alerts in alert inbox.

Error in LMDB Landscape Verification - Service is unavailable

In Solution Manager 7.1 (SP 10) I am suddenly getting the the following err:

 

     Service is unavailable.  Pls use Maintenance Planer to do verification

The message occurs when attempting to perform a Verification Check on any Product System regardless if is ABAP or Java, and has one or multiple Technical systems within it.

 

Has this service been disabled, or have I managed to shoot myself in the foot?

Upgrade a freshly installed SolMan 7.1 to current stack?

Is it recommended to update the SolMan to the current stack with SUM before configuring the system further?

Problems adding HANA IDES system to SolMan

Hello Everyone,

 

I've been following https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/TechOps/Managed+System+Setup+of+HANA+in+SAP+Solution+Manager+7.1#ManagedSystemSetupofHANAinSAPSolutionManager7.1-SetupHDBUserStoreforSAPHostAgent  for help in connecting our IDES HANA installation to Solution Manager.  I'm mainly doing it for the experience in connecting HANA to Solution Manager.

 

I've been running into issues where the commands I'm issuing are working but the connection still cannot be made.  HANA and NW are installed on the same system.  The document specifies using <sid>adm to create the connection, but doesn’t specify if it’s should be hdbadm or sb1adm.  My guess was that it expects it to be hdbadm. 

 

For understanding, these are the relevant configuration information:

 

DB SID:                                        HDB

SAP SID:                                      SB1

HANA System no from Studio:     02

sidadm (hana):                              hdbadm

sidadm (SAP):                               sb1adm

Monitoring user created in Studio  MONITOR

 

I've run the command to SET the HDBUSERSTORE:

 

hdbuserstore SET SB1SAPDBCTRL servername:30215 MONITOR xxxxpassxx

                         

hdbadm@servername:/usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/hdbuserstore list SB1SAPDBCTRL

KEY SB1SAPDBCTRL  

ENV : servername:30215  

USER: MONITOR

 

I have tried a few different combinations to try to get this to work. If I try to run sapdbctrl to get a status, I get:

 

hdbadm@servername:/usr/sap/hostctrl/exe> ./sapdbctrl status SB1 -t hdb

ERROR: Database not found: No SAP instance (newDB) SB1 found.

 

I also ran the set command above for HDBSAPDBCTRL

 

hdbadm@servername:/usr/sap/hostctrl/exe> ./sapdbctrl status HDB -t hdb

ERROR: Database software not installed

 

 

 

If I do everything as root including the , I get the following:

 

[root@servername ~]# /usr/sap/SB1/hdbclient/hdbuserstore list HDBSAPDBCTRL

KEY HDBSAPDBCTRL

USER: MONITOR

 

I had to logon using HANA studio and reset the password for user MONITOR. That password was used to create the HDBUSERSTORE.
