Now how to get back to the previous screen and resolve the issue .

I am having issue with Business Role where user is not seeing workcenter link "ChaRM Reporting" under Reports. It is marked as visible in Business Role which is assigned to user and user can run tcode /TMWFLOW/REPORTINGN directly in SAPGui without any issues. The strange thing is issue seems to be only related to Reports group SM-IM-RPT, I am able to show/hide all other links under Search & Create without any issues. Any ideas what to check? We have ChaRM 7.1 SP10.

I was having trouble getting the CA Wily Introscope Agent to connect to the working manually installed CA Introscope Enterprise Manger 9 so I decided to try and let SAP install it for me. I originally went with the manual install because I couldn't get the system to install it for me. But now, I've returned back to this point.
It looks like it's having trouble finding the CA-EULA.txt being signed. Not sure what I'm doing wrong and was hoping that someone could see an obvious mistake. I'm using the remote installation to install Wily EM Stand-Alone.
Possible issues: The installer is reading the CA-EULA.txt from the extracted SAR file which would not be accepted. It doesn't like trying to install to a D:\ drive?
I've also noticed that the Enterprise Manager Port is defaulting to a different default than the manual installer.

We are having an issue with the links that are created in the email alerts. Our systems are all clustered, with several app servers, etc - the link that gets generated in the email alert looks like this and doesn't work. We need it to omit the ap00 and the port, then it works properly.

Should look like this .

Where is Solman getting this configuration from, and how do we stop it from choosing the ap00 and the port when it creates the link? Is this related to how the agents are installed/configured (we install at app server level, not at VIP level), or is this something that needs to be set up somewhere else in Managed System Config? SICF? Somewhere else? It seems to me that it's using the app00 server as the default host, but I'm not sure where to check that configuration.

Hello,
I have installed diagnostic agents on a MSCS cluster. When I enable Agent on the fly within Solution Manager the agent restarts every 2 minutes. In the log file I get the message :
Error [AgentNodeControllerHelper] Cannot add agent node grndbxxxx.
[EXCEPTION]
com.sap.smd.nodes.controller.NodesMaintenanceException: Command executed: D:\usr\sap\DAA\SMDA97\script\smdsetup.bat installer addagent virtualhost:grndbxxxx servername:grndbxxxx keep:connection sid:DAA inr:97 / command returned: Access is denied.
When I run the command in a dos box it works, but with a failover he wants to uninstall and I get the same error.
I have given the group everyone full control on the folder SMDA97 but it didn't work.
When I disable agent on the fly every thing works just fine.

We need to refresh the ibases, for SMSY it worked fine, for theLMDB we get following result. When refreshing the ibases for the LMDB (basic config in the workcenter), the job crashes immediately with the message: Serious error in tables or in program. I attached the job log for your reference.
FYI we are running 7.1 SP08.
Anyone faced this issue before?

I am upgrading my existing solution manager 7.0 EHP1 to Solution manager 7.1 via sum tool SP09.
I am at execution phase and getting below error for JAVA :
" Cannot start service for instance 0 on host . Return code condition success evaluated to false for process sapcontrol.exe for action start service. "
I am using windows 2003 with oracle 11.2.0.3. Also my kernal is 720 and Patch 500.

im in the midst of configuring CHARM. I encountered error using my developer ID to create transport in urgent change. When set in development, developer cant create the transport error is as per below:-
Not linked to an active project cycle
Diagnose
Assign the transaction to a active project cycle
- Make sure the cycle task list is in active status
- Check project configuration by clicking "Check" button manually in transaction SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN under tab "System Landscape" and sub-tab "Change Management".

Hi All,
I am having to do an update fro solution manager with SUM due to certain circumstances. After downloading and preparing everything, when i get to the initialization road map step, it only shows completion of this step for java when i need abap as well. further, if i continue with the update, it only seems to ad-on java components instead of updating everything like i want.
I tried adding the maintenance key to the sap nw server for the java app server as describe in the sap notes, but the 'infrastructure' menu item is no existent in the 'configuration' menu.
Any ideas as to what is going on here would be much appreciated.

pls help. i have problem with program crm_dno_service_monitor.
there is diffrences about 6 hours between actual date and display date.
We have recently applied SPS 10 to our Solution Manager 7.1 system. I have gone through the System Preparation steps and I am on the Basic Configuration steps. For Step 7: "Maintain Systems in IBase", I cannot get past the step "IBase Preparation". I have done research and opened a message with support. I have 6 systems which are no longer around but apparently have "documents" associated and thus the report AI_CRM_DEL_NOT_USED_IBASE_COMP will not delete them. The message I get is
"The IBase component: XXXX (where XXXX represents a component number) with deviceid: XXX 9999999999 (where XXX is the SID of the old system and 9999999999 is the installation number of the old system) Cannot be deleted as it has related orders.
Documents that cannot be deleted:
1 components used in documents
Is there a way to find the "documents" associated with a particular Component? I have tried searching by calling tcode SM_CRM --> IT Service Management and entering Search Criteria based on the Component, but nothing is returned.
I don't believe that there is anything useful related to these old systems, so I think if I can delete any reference to them that would solve it.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

We are upgrading SAP R/3 4.7 to ECC 6.
How can I use Solman for managing this Upgrade Project. As per my understanding I can do following things in Solman
1) Define Upgrade Project, Add logical components both Maintenance & Upgrade landscape
2) Activate ChaRM
3) Activate Retrofit & CSOL
Apart from this any other activities I can do in Solman for ECC upgrade management project

I am configuring the Technical Monitoring in our SOLMAN 7.1, and when I ran the configuration assistant in SOLMAN_SETUP, the Check Preraquisites activity failed. When I looked at the error, it said that a previous activiy in Basic Configuration was completed with errors. I found that the activity was Create IBase components for LMDB systems, in step 7. of Basic Configuration. The error messages were:
An internal number range interval cannot be determined for category ALM_OBJ_7003
and
An internal number range interval cannot be determined for category ALM_OBJ_7004
I found the note 1741109, that talked about this type of problem, but it included only categories ALM_OBJ_7001 and ALM_OBJ_7002, which I had already configued in the system. I have cheched the hierarchy, and found that this objects are Databases (7003) and Host (7004). I have not been able to find information about them in SAP Support. I assume the solution is the same, to create the number range groups for these objects, but I would like to know if you had found these objects in your systems, and if you know why have they been created and where are they used in SOLMAN.

Hi,
In Solman 7.1 when logging an incident, one of the assignment blocks are Attachments. In the header area of this assignment block there is a few option, i.e. New attachment, New URL and then New with Template. Our New with template option is grey's out.
We would like to add a blank word document to this button so that consultants or end users can just click here and paste the screenshots directly into the newly created blank document and save to Solman. This was available in 7.0.
Can you please give me some advice on how to get this working? Why is the With Template option grey'd out?

Working on configuring Solution Manager 7.1 SR1
After installing the CA Wily Introscope Enterprise Manager, it appears that you have to install the Introscope Agent. I'm looking at the Introscope Version 9 Installation Guide for SAP (7/5/2013), Chapter 4. It states that you need to deploy the ISAGENTJ5*.SCA. I'm unsure how to do that. Plus, I'm not sure if that's what I'm supposed to do. On the download site, I'm offered the following choices under: SAP Technology Components"SAP SOLUTION MANAGER"SAP SOLUTION MANAGER 7.1"Entry by Component"Agents for managed systems:
WILY INTRO AGT 9 MIN J5 - OS Independent
The .NET SAR file extract a few files an what appears to be an installer.exe. The JAVA SAR file extracts a subfolder called wily containing another set of subfolders and an Agent.jar. There doesn't seem to be an SCA file in either download, plus I can't find the proper instructions.
Could someone point me in the right direction? Maybe I don't even need this component?
