Error Checks after phase MAIN_NEWBAS/XPRAS_AIMMRG were negative

Hello TechSupport!

While upgrading Solution Manager from 7.0 to 7.1 I got an error:

 

Checks after phase MAIN_NEWBAS/XPRAS_AIMMRG were negative!

Last error code set: Detected 3 aborted activities in 'XPRASUPG.ELG'<br/> Calling 'D:\usr\sap\SM1\DVEBMGS12\exe/tp' failed with return code 12, check D:\sum\SUM\abap\log\SAPup.ECO for details.

 

What should I do ? Thanks for answers !

Mail functionality not working

Hi all,

 

I am facing a strange issue in our Solution Manager system. I am configuring ChaRM in SM 7.1. All is working fine. One of the features we would like to use is the ability to send e-mails from within the RfC or Change document. This is working without a problem for a user with SAP_ALL, but is not working for a user with the standard profiles. SU53 does not give any errors.

 

When I am in edit mode in the RfC and select >More>Send e-mail the RfC goes into display mode and nothing happens any further.

 

Any ideas on this?

Problem with transaction Solar 02

We have installed Solman 7.1, the problem is when we want to create the configuration guide in transaction solar02 only show us text in word document without images that corresponding for configurations, anybody can helps us ?,  our user have the next roles assigned:

SAP_SOLAR01_ALL

SAP_SOLAR02_ALL

SAP_SOLUTION_TRANSFER

SMSY: Missing clients under Product Systems/ERP after job LANDSCAPE_FETCH

Hi all!

 

Scenario:

 

NW 7.01 SP10

SolMan 4.0 SP28

 

From time to time we are missing client entries in transaction SMSY under Product Systems/ERP/SAP ECC Server after the job LANDSCAPE_FETCH. This behavior is completly erratic. Affected systems are changing and the time period when it happens is not constantly.

 

What we find out is, that the affected systems have no entry in the table SMSY_SYST_CLIENT with "VERSION = ACTIVE". This entry was there before. But why was it be deleted by job LANDSCAPE_FETCH/program RSGET_SMSY?

 

Any help welcome!

Issue with opening MS office Visio document from SMBB

We are using solution manager’s Business blueprint (SMBB)  to serve up various document types (Word, PDF, Visio, text) to users via Internet Explorer (IE8). We have an issue were users w/o Visio installed on the desktop cannot open Visio files (via the URL link) in the browser. It does not matter if you launch the MS office document form Solution Manager or if you cut/paste the URL in to the browser, either way it does you get a blank IE browser window (no error, no data)  It works find for Word and Excel but not Visio.  Any suggestions?

RFC connection error to managed system

Hi Experts ,

 

I have recently installed SOLMAN 7.1 SR1 and upgraded it to SPS10.

After the upgrade while doing the managed system configuration I'm facing the below error .

 

 

BTW , I have checked all the RFC connections and they are working fine . The connection to SLD and LMDB is working correctly .I also checked similar posts in the forum but they are not relevant to my situation .

SAP Solution Manager and Java Webdispatcher

Hello Experts,

 

We have a Solman system (7.1 SP8) and Portal/Java systems (7.0,7.1, 7.3) and Webdispatchers. SSL is implemented in Webdispatchers

Now, we want to have a system wherein we can monitor those SSL and other certificates from Webdispatcher in Solution Manager.

 

I hope I am clear in explaining the issue, can you please point me in the right direction ? links ? SAP notes anything. I have tried but not able to get the required information.

 

Please let me know if you need anymore information to help me.

solution manager 7.1 CCMS monitoring delivered metrics

Hello, I have solution manager 7.1  and I want to use the existing metrics for Spool monitoring  for a child system vs creating a custom one.  I have a standard template set up.

 

I have solution manager diag agents on the child  system and introscope and have the data providers  running in solution manager 7. 1

But I see no alerts for the spool, is there a setting I have to make in RZ20  in either the solution manager system ?  Or the child system  to activate this?

Since  CCMS agent is now part of the daignostic agent, I thought this would be automatiac.

I am upgrading my solution manager 7.1 to support package 6 "SAPKITL706".

 

During the upgrade I get this dump:

What happened?

The current ABAP program "SAPLSPAM" had to be terminated because it has

come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.

 

 

The following syntax error occurred in program

"/CTSPLUG/CL_CTS_PLUGIN_FUNC===CP " in include

"/CTSPLUG/CL_CTS_PLUGIN_FUNC===CM002 " in

line 37:

"Field "IV_PROFILE" is unknown. It is neither in one of the specified t"

"ables nor defined by a "DATA" statement."

I checked in SCN and people suggested to run the program "/CTSPLUG/CTS_ACTIVATION" in SE38 which I did, but when I run it I get the same above dump.

 

A note to mention that I have CTS_PLUG release 200 SP-Level 0010 with the support package SAPK-20010INCTSPLUG.

I went to SAINT to see what plugins I may be missing, but I could not as the OCS is locked by the user I am using to do the upgrade in SPAM.

 

 

Any advice will be appreciated.

Assign diagnostic agent for java instance running under cname

I am running SolMan 7.1 SP04 on Netwaver 7.02.

 

The managed server instances are started using profiles containing DNS common names (cnames) so they can participate in disaster recovery.

 

While installing the diganostic agent to the managed server I am entering the "cname" when prompted for the Host Name of the managed server. I am doing this because the additional information for this task says "Change Host Name if you plan to manage systems running on a virtual host. This scenario lets the diagnostics agent take part in a switchover environment."  The issue I have occurs when I attempt to setup the managed server usgin the tcode solman_setup after installing the diagnostic agent.  The fourth step in setting up the managed system is: Assign Diagnostic Agent

 

This is what is see:

Notice that the database is running on host w2pads - this is the cname of the server. The JAVA instances is running on aix862r2 - this is the hostname of the server.  In the SLD the System ID is associated with the cname. In LMDB the JAVA instance is associated with the cname. Any idea how to resolve this issue?

 

I have tried reinstalling the diagnostic agent - updating the SLD, running the landscape fetch to update the LMDB and syncronizing the LMDB using the report RLMDB_SYNC_TECHNICAL_SYSTEM

ISAGENT 8 is not installed

I've had a heck of hard time trying to get past the Solution Manager's Check Prerequisites step. It keeps telling me that the ISAGENT 8 is not installed. Even after updating ISAGENT Java 8 and 9 for solution manager through the Software Deployment Manager. I've also restarted the server. I'm not sure where to look to see what component isn't being referenced correctly.

 

Here is a screenshot showing the installed agent versions. I'm wondering if the problem is that these are no longer listed under a particular heading. Perhaps I've accidentally installed them into the incorrect path?

I've followed Note 1515097 and I believe that I've installed all of the correct agents.

This is a new installation of Solution Manager 7.1 on Windows Server 2012

ChaRM: Auto Populate Current Processor

Hi,

 

In ChaRM transaction type SMMJ, there is a partner called Current Processor. Is there a way to autopopulate this field based on who saves the change document?

 

This is in order to track who last modified the change document. Is this possible? Thanks!

Import queues - New Dev vs Hotfixes

Hi,

 

i'm almost new to Solution Manager and i have a question.

 

Landscape is

DEV-->QA-->PROD

 

I'm live and i have to develop new features for my solution: i've a TR (TR "A") already on the QA import queue, waiting to be consolidated (aka imported).

Then an incident in PROD needs to be fixed asap.

 

How can i act in order to move the incident fix in QA and then PROD leaving the TR "A" as it is (so on the import queue of the QA environment) ?

Does Solution Manager support the use of cnames?

Does Solution Manager 7.1 SP04 support the use of DNS common names (cnames)?

 

SolMan has the concept of a "virtual host", but I do not think this is the same as a cname. I have tried setting up the SolMan diagnostic agent using cnames instead of hostnames and the agent gets confused about the concept.

[Update]

  • You can directly "test" SAP Solution Manager 7.1 without the trainers. Once you've opened the system & trainer, just close the trainer window by clicking the "X" in the upper right corner.

"No Instance Found" in SolMan7.1 SP10 Unified Job Monitoring

Hi,

 

We've recently upgraded our SolMan 7.1 system to SP10 and I'm struggling to get the Unified Job Monitoring to work.

 

I've been through the wizard (SOLMAN_SETUP -> Technical Monitoring -> Job & BI Monitoring) several times, and set-up monitoring for a few different systems / scenarios. I can successfully pull in a list of jobs from the client system when choosing what jobs to monitor, so that seems to be a positive sign.

 

Everything looks good in the set-up but no alerts /emails ever get generated. When I launch the html monitor page via Technical Monitoring Work Center -> Job and BI Monitoring and choose one of the systems I just see "No Instance Found".

 

The System Preparation and Basic Configuration is complete for SolMan, as is the "Managed System Configuration" and "System Monitoring Configuration" for the systems I'm trying to monitor. We have the most recent version of the Central Correction Note.

 

Can anyone suggest what I may have missed?
