Error accessing transaction SOLMAN_WORKCENTER in SAP Solution Manager

I get the error below when I try to access workcenters in SAP solution Manager ehp1 via transaction SOLMAN_WORKCENTER

What has happened?

The URL call http://sol.test.com:8000/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/ags_workcenter was terminated because of an error.

What can you do?

With the termination type RABAX_STATE you will find in the system smc in transaction ST22 more information on the cause of the termination.

With termination type ABORT_MESSAGE_STATE you will findon the application server sol_smc_00 in transaction SM21 more information on the cause of the termination.

With termination type ERROR_MESSAGE_STATE you can scan for further information in the trace file for the work process 0 in transaction ST11 on the application server. sol_smc_00 It is possible that an analysis of the trace files for the other work processes is necessary.

Which version to be used for SOLMAN

Hi All,

 

I need to install SOLMAN for my NW java stack to be updated.

I am new to this. Which version to be installed. Right now I am trying with SOLMAN 7.1 SR1 but its throwing error in ABAP instance start.

Is that I am using the right one?

Also since its a ABAP anything we have to install before SOLMAN. Please let me know?

Maintenance Optimizer: How am I able to see transactions from all users?

Hi all,
I'm using SolMan 7.1 SP10. in workcenter Change Management -> Maintenance Optimizer there are only transaction created or changed by me visible.

Is it possible to get the old view like it was in transaction DSWP in the workcenter? Do I have to assign another role to my user to get the view?

How to post message from SAP to solution manager

Dear Friends,

 

We have configured solution manager service desk and the users were able to send messages so that we can view it in solman ITSM.

 

Now we want to bifurcate the messages from different people, hence we woule like to use of Problems in incident management of solman.

 

How a end user can create a message so that it comes and fall in problems folder of incident management,

Normally create support message from SAP will make the message to be visible in incidents of solman ITSM, but we want the message to fall in problems section of ITSM in solman.

 

Please help.

I have an error when I copy Homogeneous in SOLMAN, I do the import of the database and this error occurs:

Table E2EEM_GEN_CTX very large

I see in my solution manager system the table E2EEM_GEN_CTX is getting really large. In Se11, it says it is a table for exception management. I could not find any information related to this in any site, SCN or SAP Marketplace. Would anyone know what this is used for and how can we clean it up.

 

strange thing is that is has over 3 million records and the size is over 41GB compressed. I will also open a message but in case someone has faced this before.

SLD Landscape Design Question

After reading the Planning Guide - System Landscape Directory, I am left with a question.

 

The Setup:

 

  • Standard three system landscape
    • ECC 6.0 Ehp5 on NW 7.02
      • ECC Instances: DE1, QE1, PE1
    • PI 7.31
      • PI Instances: DP1, QP1, PP1
      • PI Business Systems: DE1CLNT100, QE1CLNT100, PE1CLNT100
      • Each PI Instance has a local SLD
  • Management Landscape
    • Solution Manager 7.1 on NW 7.02
      • SolMan Instance: SP1
      • Local SLD
      • LMDB

Reading through the Planning Guide, the recommendation (pg. 45, picture below) seems to be to have all systems self-report to PP1. That is, without synchronization, only PP1 knows about any systems because they all report to PP1 and do not report in to their local SLDs. The data is then sent back to DP1 & QP1 via bridge forwarding. Business Systems are manually entered into their respective local SLDs, but then have to be manually exported/imported from DP1 --> QP1 --> PP1. Once it's all gathered into PP1 again, all data is pushed to SolMan's SLD on SP1 via a unidirectional content synchronization.

 

If I read this correctly, then all SLD's will end up "knowing" all systems and business systems: e.g. the sld of DP1 will have entries for QP1 and PP1 and for business systems QE1CLNT100 and PECLNT100.

Earlier in the guide, I gathered that there was value in not having all of the data in Development in that there is then clear separation between non-production SLDs and production SLDs. The above recommended setup seems to go against this idea of separation. Plus, it requires a significant amount of manual upkeep.

 

As an alternative (pictured below), what if each environment only reported to it's local SLD (DE1 --> DP1, QE1--> QP1, PE1--PP1). (Note that in the picture the SLD is drawn separate, but I've heard that most customers run their local SLD on PI, so the SLD depicted in each environment actually runs on the PI system in this scenario.) Further, what if the SLD's then synchronized sequentially in a full unidirectional content sync fashion. (DP1 does a full uni-directional Content Sync to QP1, QP1 does a full uni-directional Content Sync to PP1, and PP1 does a full uni-directional Content Sync to SP1.)

 

DP1 would only know about it's own systems. QP1 would know about it's own plus DP1 (which it needs). PP1 and SP1 would both have full visibility into all systems.  Furthermore, the manually entered business systems would also be automatically synchronized and the whold manual export/import process could be avoided or  a manual export/import could be implemented between Q and Production for safety with an automatic bridge forward of Data Supplier data.

Perfect Road Map Needed from previous experiences

I was also in the Solman project. Please dont mind i have got few questions,

 

 

1. The project we have is to install a fresh solution manager. i got the dump from service market place and installed a fresh system using the software provisional manager. The SAP components [ SAP_ABA, SAP_BASIS at level 0009 that is SAPKA70209] that i see after installation system resemble it belongs to SP04 for Solman 7.1. So i think thats the minimum we get when we install a new system?

 

 

2. But the actually plan is to install Solman 7.1 SP10. So cant we directly install SP10?

 

 

3. please suggest what would be the plan...its all new system. and we just wanted to get Solman 7.1 SP 10/11 what ever is the latest.

 

 

Our environment is windows, 2008 R2 MS SQL database.

Which installation software should be used therefore SAPINST or SWPM?

If SWPM, what are the advantages here?

Dear all,

 

We are doing Fresh installation of Solman 7.1 AIX Oracle in Solman Server.

OS Used: AIX

Database : Oracle.

 

We have downloaded Solman CDs 7.1 from Service Market Place (SMP ) path.

SMP Path:

 

Software Downloads---Installations and Upgrades --- SAP Technology ComponentsSAP SOLUTION MANAGERSAP SOLUTION MANAGER 7.1---INSTALLATIONS—AIX---Oracle Database

 

In the Solution Manager 7.1  place path  , CDs available for Oracle is "Oracle RDBMS 11.2.0.3 AIX 64 Bit".

 

Now Oracle installation  stopped with the OS Patch FIX  ( OS Patch : IZ97457 and OS Patch  IZ89165)as in the attached screenshot.

 

Only after applying  the above OS Patches , oracle installation can be proceeded in Solman Server.

 

Kindly clarify the below clarifications:

 

Is Oracle Software CDs  11.2.0.2 available in ServiceMarket Place path. If so please mentionthe path

2) If full Oracle Software CDs available in SMP , Will  Solman 7.1 supports Oracle version 11.2.0.2 ??

3)Will Solman Manager 7.1 supports Oracle version 11.2.0.2 ?/

 

To avoid the OS fix patch, We are asking the above clarifications to avoid further delay in installing or Proceeding WITH solman INSTALLATION.

CRM Web Client UI - Timeout and Timeout Link

Hi

   

We use CRM Web Client UI for Solution Manager (ChaRM) but it doesn’t seem to take long to time out (i.e. if the user doesn’t do anything).

 

How do I change the timeout settings for CRM Web Client?

 

Secondly, after it times out, a popup box appears saying you have been logged out and you can log back in (provides link). However, afterclicking on this link, the theme of CRM Web Client looks completely different. To get the same theme, users have to go back to Solution Manager and input transaction SM_CRM.

 

Is there a reason why the theme looks different when clicking on this link after you’ve been timed out?  I have provided screenshots below:

SLA missing when an incident ZMIV is dispatching

Hi all,

we facing the following problem in SM 7.1 - SP10. We open an incident ZMIV as key user and when we try (as a processor) to reassign internally, fields "First Response by:" and "Due by" are not populated.

At the same time, the bar showing percentage for IRT Status and MPT Status are set to 0%.

 

We followed all the customizing steps in SPRO/SAP Solution Manager/Capabilities(optional)/IT Service management /SLA escalation, but fields are always blank (and only in display mode)

Could you please help me/advice?

Hi Gurus,

 

Need help with this alert which i am getting from Solman 7.1 SP10.

 

ABAP Message Server Status XXX-ABAP 3 3 3 No process found for: msg_server(.*)

 

 

I have already checked following notes but no luck

 

1419603 - Missing ABAP SAP Central Services (ASCS) instance in SLD/LMDB

1916237 - ABAP Central Service not available alert in Technical Monitoring

 

Our managed system kernel is 720 P 401 as per-requisites for the sld registration.

Have tried few things here and there but no luck.

 

Please suggest is any has any suggestion or solution.

Don´t create the transport copies when the change goes to test

Hi all,

 

I am using Solman 7.1 SP8. I am in step of the test og the ChaRM.

 

The scenario is:

 

  - maintenance project;

  - normal change;

 

ERROR : when I put the change to "pass Normal Change to Test", showed a follow messages:

And the didn´t create of the  transport copies.

Action Definition across Profiles

Hello everyone,

 

We're using Solution Manager 7.1 SPS10, and we're in the process of trying to configure email notifications within the system as requested by our business partners.

 

One of the requested email notifications was to notify the message processor of a Service Request when a related task had been closed, so that they're aware of the progression of work without having to constantly be logged into the system.

 

I did some searching, but wasn't able to determine:

 

1. Which action profile the notification should be created under.

2. How to read fields from one transaction type, which has its own action profile, to use wthin an action definition for a different transaction type/action profile.

 

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated, even if just to say it's not possible.

BPB (Business Process Blueprint) Tool Publish Error - Solution Manager 7.1 SP10

Hello SCN members!

 

The company where I work recently implemented the SAP Solution Manager 7.1 SP10 and now we are trying to learn how to use the SAP Business Process Blueprint (BPB) Tool to design all enterprise processes inside it.

 

I followed all the steps of the official BPB installation guide and from another BPB discussion (http://scn.sap.com/thread/3258935) but the tool is not working properly. Some relevant points are:

 

  • I can create and publish Business Scenarios but can’t do the same with Business Processes

I don’t understand why the tool works for the Business Scenario level but not for the Business Process level. Could anyone help?

 

  • The Palette and Standard Shapes are showing just a few options.

 

Are these the standard design objects or some are missing?
