Error in Solman upgrade using SUM tool

Hi experts,

 

  while upgrade solution manager using SUM TOOL we got error,see below log file and Error

RFC Maintenance errors - can't create Read RFC?

We've recently upgraded to SP10 for SM 7.1, started going through Managed System config and ran across a problem with RFC Maintenance under Connect System step. 

 

When creating a Read RFC, I get the following sequence of messages with absolutely no error text, related to creating the Read and TMW RFC users on the managed system.

 

AUTHORITY_NOT_AVAILABLE (not always)

Establish connection to System <sid/instance> SID_CLient

Name or password is incorrect (repeat logon)

No RFC for system SID/Client

 

Seems to be trying to use passwords that I've entered even though I've entered none for that user ID - using the Generate user and Password option.  Error message at top of screen says "

The passwords specified must be identical

Display Help

 

Is this being buffered somewhere?  How do I clear this out?

 

Solman Admin and Managed System Config User credential tests pass, no issues there.

 

Managed System Config User has appropriate credentials as it can assign the correct role once the RFC user has been created.  Appears also to only be an issue with the Read user.

 

I know that manually creating the RFC and user ID works as I've done that in some of our lower systems that I have access to, but we don't have access to all of the higher systems to perform these activities due to security concerns, we need to have Solman RFC maintenance working properly. 

 

I saw some notes about this last week but did not make a note of the number and now I can't find the reference!!!  grr...  hate it when I can't find the correct search keywords or they're too common.

 

Appreciate anyone pointing out the notes/solution for this problem ("do it manually" doesn't count)

Unable to create RFC connections

I got a message to update a managed system. I start managed system configuration and select the affected system, configure system step 3 connect managed system. At this point I get an error stating "Error when opening and RFC connection (lb: Hostname or service of the message server unknown"  I have tried pinging the system by hostname from the solution manager server and it pings fine. I ran a connection test from the Solution Manager server to the managed system using the one RFC connection available and it connects well also. When I look in the work directory there is an error message repeating the above. Not sure what else I can look at there, I entered the system into the HOSTS file on the solution manager server to see if it made a difference it doesn't. Attached is the entry in the DEV_RFC log from the work directory it won't paste into the question for some reason

BP Mon alert inbox showing 0 records exist for the monitoring object key figure "Orders with billing block" but when checked on ECC via TBI_REPORTS with the monitoring id fetches records that exist

Hello Folks,

 

Can you tell me where I am missing from the config standpoint or any issue that I need to look into for trouble shooting the BPMon set up..

 

I had successfully set up the pre-reqs and activated one of the key figure "Orders with Billing Block" for Sales & service area "OTC " via the monitoring object "Through put Sales Document created".

 

i made sure the that I had saved, generated and activated the key figure and also checked that the Jobs "BPM_DATA_COLLECTION_1" & "BPM_DATA_COLLECTION_2" are running as well for the set time frame/period.

 

now when i check through the alert inbox after the job is run, I see alerts with "Green" status stating that "Orders with billing block : 0". and when clocked on details list it jumps to ECC and shows the view with no records found.

 

but when I execute the same monid from TBI_REPORTS on ECC system for the same client i am running the data collection is showing up records that exist with orders that have billing blocks.

 

can some one tell me where I am missing the link or any other set up that I am not aware of...

 

your help is highly appreciated.

SAP Solution Manager on Windows 2012 + SQL Server 2012

Hello,

 

I'm installing SAP Solution Manager 7.1 on Windows 2012 with SQL Server 2012 and the SAP Application is not starting.

The ABAP import was performed without errors but the installation stopped at the Start Instance phase.

 

SAP MMC shows "disp+work.exe running but not connect to message server" and then the disp+work.exe falls.

 

 

I checked and the service user is a local administrator.

I have no antivirus installed on server.

The UAC and Windows Firewall are disabled.

I tried to update the kernel for 721 EXT and did not work.

 

 

Can someone help me?

Hello All,

 

We have solman 7.1 system.

CCMS_CPH_RAW_DATA_UPDATE BG job has been triggered in every one hour once and it is finished successfully.

But in SM21 we are receiving the message like that, It is in green color anyway we need to fix it.

I have searched in SMP and http://scn.sap.com/thread/90664 as well I’m not getting anything. Kindly give a suggestion to fix this.

BW Role SAP_BW_DEVELOPER

Hi All,

 

I have copied the role SAP_BW_DEVELOPER to ZSAP_BW_DEVELOPER to try to resolve a permissions issue we have when trying to broadcast a workbook.

But when I come to edit this role it complains about

There are no texts in language EN. Texts for the role exist in language DE. Use transaction SE63 to translate missing texts.

 

I tried using SE63 but it complains that the role doesn't exist!  I tried both the original role and the copied one.

 

How do I fix this?

 

Also with regards to the permissions issue, I now have the above role including the following roles :-

SAP_BW_CCMS_REPORTING

SAP_BW_SOLUTION_MANAGER

SAP_SM_ALEREMOTE

SAP_SM_BI_EXTRACTOR

SAP_SMWORK_BPM

ZSAP_BW_DEVELOPER

 

And I also have profile SAP_ALL & SAP_NEW but I still get an error trying to broadcast a workbook.

 

Diagnosis

You do not have authorization to display the requested object (for example, Web template, query....). That is why it is also not possible to load broadcast settings into the broadcaster for the object.

The action was terminated.

Procedure

Choose another object. When doing this, use the various views in the Open dialog. Only objects for which you have display authorization will be displayed there.

When trying to configure System Monitoring error occured.

AutoreactionMethod for one of app server is not reflecting in RZ20

Dear Gurus,

 

We have registered one of our system with Solman for CCMS configuration Out 5 server 1 server is having a problem.
We are not able to see the Automatic reaction method assigned to the Problematic server.

Also in RZ21 "Agent for Remote SAP system" tab  the server is showing as "Remote System" in Responsible server tab.

The Agent did got registered we are getting the error. Error at connection set-up: ERROR_WEBSERVICE_RUNTIME_INIT No logical port 'SAPCCM4X.exists for

System is registered through the option using RZ21 > Technical Infrastructure > Config Central System > Create Remote monitoring Entry > ABAP

At the time of registration we got the below error.

The following step has been already performed.
1 Using the adopt Agent option in RZ21 but this option as well is not
working for us.
2 Deleting all the agent and re registering the system again still the
issue remains the same.

 

The system which i am registering is ECC6.0 with EHP6 and kernel 721_EXT_REL patch 100

Any help is highly appreciated

Retrofit, Solman 7.1

Hi Folks,



 

 

I am trying to implement Retrofit, have configured same and CSOL.



 

 

We have beow scenario:-



 

 

Maint. Landscape  Dev:100 -> PPD1 : 100 -> PRD:100



 

Project Landscape Dev:010 -> PPD2 : 200



 

 

Retrofit system is Dev:010.



 

 

Problem I am facing is when I release TR from Dev:100, then its entry is being populated in Lock Monitor table in SOLMAN system, but when I start Retrofit, it says "No Transports available to retrofit".



 

 

Am I missing something here ?



 

 

The TR I released should be available for retrofitting ?

Second question - ChaRM is actiavted for maintenance project, but when I try to activate ChaRM for Implementation project- I get synchrorization error. Please noe- all checks are green. Error says it "The projects of the Change and Transport System (CTS projects) for the Solution Manager project name(name of implementation proj for which I am trying to activate ) are different."

Auto-Email to Reporter at Status Change- SOLMAN 7.1, sp08

Hello,

    I am configuring our Solution Manager 7.1 system to utilize Web Client for Incident Management.

 

I would like an e-mail to automatically be sent to the Reporter once the status of a Incident is changed. Currently, I believe I have taken all the steps towards this action, yet no e-mail is being sent.

 

Below is a screen shot of my "Define Action Profiles" screen and "Define Conditions" screen.

 

Please let me know of any steps I may be missing.

Incident Management - blocking new tickets creation

Hi gurus,

 

we are switching from Solman Incident management to other system and while this will happen, I need to block creating new tickets by user. Where can i set this up? I tried switching in CRMBS02 -> ZMIN0001 -> New from "No influence" to "Forbidden", but that not helped.

Could you please tell me how can I do this?

Email notification to admin whenever an ITSM incident Raised

Hi,

 

We have requirement to fulfill and it's that when an end user raised an incident the basis admin should get an email notification. Although basis admin has nothing to do to an incident, handling of ITSM incidents are the duties of dispatchers and message processors and support team, but due to some security issues basis admin need an email notification whenever an incident is raised.

 

 

 

So I created:

1) an action profile set it as "Mail output"

2) what option to select in "Partner-Dependent" option?

3) and where do I enter email and basis admin "Business partner number" in customizing action. so he will get an email.

 

 

 

Note: we didn't maintained "Support Team determination" nor we have created "Organizational units"

Dispatcher emergency shutdown. AWS cloud installation

AWS cloud EC2 instance. Windows 2008 R2 server and Sybase unwired platform 15.2

 

Dispatcher is not running and following is the dev_disp log. I have tried to find the reason behind emergency shut down of dispatcher but I guess, I am missing something here.

Mopz Transaction phase change manually

Dear Team/Experts,

 

Apparently I created one MOPZ Transaction for enhancing some components to EHP 5 (already my ECC server is running on ERP 6.0 EHP 5 but some components were still on ERP 6.0 patch XYZ). I was able to create necessary stack.xml (In SAINT it asked for it.... ). Now by mistake I clicked the button Next in MPOZ transaction and now it is in phase Implement. Can somebody please let me know how to reset that transaction to earlier phase (i.e. Download files). cause whenever I open that transaction ....it just gives me that JAVA window with cursor

CSOL Cross System Object Lock - RFC error in satellite system

Hi

 

We are currently implementing Solution Manager 7.1 (ChaRM) and of the mandatory requirements is to activate Cross System Object Lock.

 

I have globally activated this in Solman and have gone into /TMWFLOW/CMSCONF to activate for our development client. This is now activated.

 

A transport has now been created in ChaRM and I login to the above mentioned development system and make a customizing change. I then choose the transport and save change. I am presented with an error:

 

"Error in RFC SM_DSMCLNT001_BACK to Solution Manager System" (Message No. STMWFLOW025)

 

I have now been looking at this for a few hours and found OSS Note 824521. However, I have already done all this. From a RFC perspective we have:

 

SOLMAN:

 

SM_DSMCLNT001_BACK - works fine in SM59. The assigned user has all the correct profiles.

 

In transaction SDCCN, the above RFC appears also.

 

In transaction SM30, table BCOS_CUST, "CHARM_DEST" and "OSS_MSG" are both set to destination NONE.

 

SATELLITE SYSTEM:

 

In transaction SDCCN, the above mentioned RFC exists

 

In transaction SM30, table BCOS_CUST, "CHARM_DEST" and "OSS_MSG" are both set to the above mentioned RFC

 

The user SMB_DSM for the RFC only exists in Solman and not in satellite system. Don't think this is needed though.

 

 

As soon as I deactivate CSOL in /TMWFLOW/CMSCONF in Solman (for development client), I can make changes and the above error (in red) does not appear. However, we needed CSOL working and this error not to appear.

 

Any suggestions???

How to download Document from one Project to Another in SolDoc

Hi Experts,

 

We have Project in Solution Documentation from where we need to Download all the existing Documents and upload the same the same in New Project. Also can anyone suggest us one how we can delete the Documents from Repository itself.
