Metric: SAP Host Agent Availability doubt
Hello folks!
I have a problem in technical monitoring from Solution Manager, and i would be happy, if someone could help me with this.
1 - SAP Solution Manager is trying to ping a IP that doesnt exists
2 - In the screenshot, the line is: "Ping to listener: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:port not successful".
Let's call the host of my managed object as "$HOST_NAME", and the IP as "$HOST_IP".
1 - The IP of $HOST_NAME is one, and the IP xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx that SolMan is trying to ping, is another, the ip doesnt even exists, because i can't reach him from anywhere. Is it not wrong? I think the "Listener" should be the $HOST_IP, not another...
2 - The correction for this problem, would be the adjustment of the "Listener" to the $HOST_IP? How could i do this?

CSOL Cross System Object Lock - RFC error in satellite system
Hi
We are currently implementing Solution Manager 7.1 (ChaRM) and of the mandatory requirements is to activate Cross System Object Lock.
I have globally activated this in Solman and have gone into /TMWFLOW/CMSCONF to activate for our development client. This is now activated.
A transport has now been created in ChaRM and I login to the above mentioned development system and make a customizing change. I then choose the transport and save change. I am presented with an error:
"Error in RFC SM_DSMCLNT001_BACK to Solution Manager System" (Message No. STMWFLOW025)
I have now been looking at this for a few hours and found OSS Note 824521. However, I have already done all this. From a RFC perspective we have:
SOLMAN:
SM_DSMCLNT001_BACK - works fine in SM59. The assigned user has all the correct profiles.
In transaction SDCCN, the above RFC appears also.
In transaction SM30, table BCOS_CUST, "CHARM_DEST" and "OSS_MSG" are both set to destination NONE.
SATELLITE SYSTEM:
In transaction SDCCN, the above mentioned RFC exists
In transaction SM30, table BCOS_CUST, "CHARM_DEST" and "OSS_MSG" are both set to the above mentioned RFC
The user SMB_DSM for the RFC only exists in Solman and not in satellite system. Don't think this is needed though.
As soon as I deactivate CSOL in /TMWFLOW/CMSCONF in Solman (for development client), I can make changes and the above error (in red) does not appear. However, we needed CSOL working and this error not to appear.
Any suggestions???

How to display a survey after incident message closed
Hello gurus,
I created a survey in CRM_SURVEY_SUITE.
I do not know how to make the survey display after incident messages has status "closed" and where can I see the results.
I searched in the web for an appropriate information, but I could not find any information or guide on how to do it.
If you know how to do it or find a documentation on how to resolve my issue, please advise me.

BPMon: Send BPMon alerts to third party tool through SNMP traps
Hi All,
In our environment the preferred ticketing tool for raising tickets is a CA tool. I have managed to integrate system monitoring on Solution Manager with this third party tool using SNMP traps. Essentially when a system monitoring alert is raised in the alert inbox of solution manager, ticket gets raised in the CA tool.
I want the same integration with BPMon alerts. Whenever a BPMon alert is raised, I want to send an SNMP trap to the CA ticketing tool.
Can someone please guide me to the correct configuration guide or how its done.

Set Up the solution in the managed system.
Hi Folks....
Something weird is happening in my solution manager.
I associated my managed system with a SOLUTION via SMSY and also I checked that configuration in SOLMAN_WORKCENTER -> SETUP and everything looks fine.
When I go to SOLMAN_WORKCENTER -> System Monitoring -> Reports I do not see the solution which was associated, as I explained above.
Has anyone faced that issue?

when i try to create a incident i found some configuration missing compare to SMIN.
I have copied SMIN to ZMIN.Please find the attached screenshot.

Mapping customized transaction types solution manager 7.1 sp10
Hi Folks
We are in sap solution manager 7.1 with SP 10 .
We have setup charm for 3-tier for solution managed system and 5-tier lanscape for managed system landscapes
We are using copied transaction type ZMMJ (Copied from SMMJ) for 3 -Tier Charm project for solution manager.
Now we have requirement to modify and customize the transaction types for 5 -tier landscape and for this we have created YMMJ for 5 -Tier landscape
Now while creating RFC using ZMCR ,once i select 5- tier managed system project it should pick up YMMJ (we customized action conditions here) .
Please let me know where can i map or link YMMJ to use for 5 -Tier landscape charm project

Diagnostic Agent reads false IP address 169.254.*.* (Private IP address)
Hi,
I have recently upgraded Diagnostic Agent in QAS with Microsoft failback cluster environment . After upgrade, I checked log files for SMD Agent and observed that it reads a false IP address with 169.254.*.* series. This issue seems to be related with APIPA (Automatic Private IP Addressing). The IP address 169.254.0.0 to 169.254.255.255 is APIPA range and is reserved for Microsoft. I searched on forum and got a note (1365796 – Local host name resolution fails in Windows failover cluster) relevant to this issue and applied it on host server. After applying the note, I restarted DAA, but still problem is the same. In host server, the command of ping -4 <localhostname> gives the correct output of server IP.
Could anyone tell me why is it happening? Or is there something more to be concentrated to solve this issue?
I have opened OSS message and communicating with SAP since last one week. Quick reply will be highly appreciated.

SUM not executing properly
Hello,
While upgrading my EHP6 from ERP6 EHP5, SUM tool is saying to check some missing download basket files, but when i go and check the files these are in grey color with below message
Remark: Some of the software features might be displayed in gray color.
This indicates that they are not applicable because they belong to
another host/SID.
I am trying at host where DVEBMGS directory exists.
but this host doent seem Primary application server because the Enq, Message, ASCS are other cluster which is sapglobalhost, if I run from this sapglobal host the startup.bat fails because SL controller could not started.
any idea how to proceed this.

ChaRM - Developer cannot create transport request
Hi, I have 2 questions.
1 - We have a Request for Change created, after the change got approved, this created the Normal Change document. Is this the way it should work?
2 - After the Approval, the developer logs in to create the transport request. The system and client is disabled ad the short description comes with some weird text. We have a solution created and the solution has the development system within the logical component in it. Please help..

SOLMAN - RBPD - System can't find Workload and EWA

i have an issue during the execution of Reverse Blueprint Documentation.
i have mapped correctly the system on solution manager and even EWA is configured and operating.
i have uploaded the file.
when i try to Create Analisys, the system recognize the logical component but it can't find the Workload
and also the last EWA there isn't

How to set a transaction type as a default value to scope assignment block?
Hi all,
I'm working on a scenario where I have 1 customer specific RfC document that has only 1 follow-up document available and possible (copy of SMAD and heavily customized). Is it possible to a) set the ZEAD ttype as default when inserting the scope to the RfC or better yet b) populate the scope automatically when creating the RfC? I've tried searching the SCN and reqular google (and gone through copy control a couple of times) but haven't come across a solution yet.
My RfC is for specific use only and that's why it only has one follow-up document.
I'm using 7.1 SP10.

Diagnostic agent not starting
Hi all ,
We are trying to register the diagnostic agent to our solman system and after executing the command ./smdsetup.sh managingconf hostname:"sapms://<solman host name" port:"81xx" user:"<admin user of diagnostic agent>" pwd:"******"
the diagnostic agent went offline.
We tried bringing it up by startsap SMDA98 , since we are at higher version we dont have smdstart command.
kindly let me know how can i bring SMD agent online.

SOLMAN DB migration done,many trace files are getting generated in EP servers

Post completion of migration when SOLMAN system started,bulk trace files are getting generated causing /usr/sap/<SID> mount point to get full.

ChaRM Critical Object Check
Hello sifus,
I am configuring SAP SOLMAN 7.1 ChaRM and face issue with Critical Object Check functionality.
When i test to approve the transport containing the critical object in ChaRM the message appeared as successfully approved but when i checked
it was not as the critical sign still in red color instead of green and it is not allowed me to release the transport request from ChaRM.
Does anyone experience the same issue? and what would be the solution.

Solman ChaRM 7.1 - Action
Hi Sifus,
I would like to ask opinions from experts here regarding ChaRM action.
is it possible to control the action based on values we enter in the change request.
For example: The Request for Change(RFC) is being raised by SAP MM team, During the step 'Import to Production' only the Team Lead of SAP MM could do this action by clicking this button, other users would not be authorize.
appreciate any inputs from anyone.
