Technical Monitoring - How to handle Long-Jobs in Dialog Response Time

Hi experts,

 

in Technical Monitoring we are monitoring the response time of R3.

Durring the day everything is fine, as on all instaces a lot of users are on and we have always a good average.

 

But durring the night I always face the problem, that not many users are working and some big (long) jobs are running.

After the jobs are finished, I always get an alert that the response time was to high.

 

So my question is, does anybody know how to handle that thing?

I am already working with Counterthreshold (3times in 20 minutes) but I still get somes times the error.

Especially after MRP-Run with parallel-processes.

 

Maybe somebody have a good idea for this.

I don't want to change the limit for the night, I would prefer if I can make the check without considering the job-time.

Charm - IF TR is not moved to Production,Email should get triggerd

Dear All,

 

I have implemented Change req. management in system and its working fine. 

We have one new requirement as, Mail should get triggered if TR is not moved to production in urgent change. I checked standard configuration but didnt find anything. In standard connf. if TR gets fail then its comes under process log in urgent document.

 

How to trigger mail if TR is not moved to production or if TR is failed??

Solman Java Stack Issues in System Migration

Dear experts,

 

I compress the solman system and copy it to another host, and then unzip it. After configuring database and solman system, I start database and solman abap stack successfully, but can't access the java stack. I replace the old hostname with the new one in some profiles under $SID/DVEBMGS00/j2ee directory, but I assume that there are still other profiles need to be updated.

Could you give me any advise? Thank you very much.

Interface monitoring using SOLMAN

Hi gurus,

 

I am new to solman and my task is to setup monitoring of interfaces using solution manager.

 

Let us suppose that there is an inbound interface for INVOICE running in the production system, how and where is this integration performed in solution manager, and where can i monitor the results.

 

i went through some doc, and could see in solution landscape from there he is able to navigate to we02 and monitor the failed idocs. but the process was not clear to me.

 

can anyone pls send me some documents related to INTERFACE MONITORING using solman or if you can send me some steps it will be great.(vn.verma@yahoo.com)

 

If anyone can share any experiences w.r.t interface monitoring it would be great.

Error in lmdb sync

Dear all

we are on solman 7.1 sp4 we are trying to add product system it shows system not add in LMDB the lmdb job cancelled SAP_LMDB_LDB_0000000001 can cancelled continuously it throws error

HTTP destination LMDB_SyncDest1 is unreachable (http://IDxxx.ra.com:8001/sld/cimom (sld/active))

for this we have check rfc LMDB_SyncDest1 changed user and made it successful but still there is error

 

give me some solution

Wily Introscope is not running in Solution Manager 7.1 and tech monitoring

Hi Experts,

 

 

we are able to log in wily introscope, But metrics(values) are not coming in wily

we re started the solution manager server, that port is working fine now, Please assist me on this to fix issue find log as attachment.

 

 

2)we configure the technical monitoring in our solution manager system but metrics are not coming for dialog response time in dash board. which extractor i need to check how to troubleshoot,

Solution Manager 7.1

Hello Sap Gurus,

 

I have a problem with my solution manager 7.1 sps11. ( which was upgraded from 7.0 EHP1)

When I run the configuration for the solman_setup -> System Preparation -> step3 Specify Connectivity Data I get RABAX_STATE error

but none is working.

 

Please advise as I have no more ideas what I should do. What other services to activate ?

How do you move changes from your project developments into the maintenance development system?

Good day colleagues.

 

We are in the process of introducing retrofit, and the picture is clear for us, generally speaking, to retrofit the project landscape with the changes done in the maintenance landscape.

 

What about the other way around? We mean, when the project is set to Go Live, we understand the transports will be all added, e.g. to the Production System buffer to be moved there via Maintenance Cycle, based on the way we defined the project and the logical component being used.

 

However, how do you feed those project transports to your Maintenance Development System using ChaRM?  or do you do that Manually?  We doubt. Copying Production back into Development?  no way !!!

 

How do you establish that?  We have a sort of idea but the documents about retrofit only seem to talk about moving transports one way, as far as we have found.

You are not authorized to logon to the target system (error code 1)

Dear Expert,

 

I met some problems that 'You are not authorized to logon to the target system (error code 1)' when I tried to do the auth. testing for RFC SM_CLNT<SID>_TRUSTED in satellite system.

 

Following SAP note 128447, I recreated the RFCs in SMSY in solution manager for satellite system using existing user.

It was still error ''You are not authorized to logon to the target system (error code 1)'.

 

In SMSY in solman, I checked the RFCs connection which I recreated using RFC wizard, they are ok(green).

 

I have already maintain the auth. obj S_RFCACL for user who is running this.

 

So, I am confused what authorization I did not maintain in user? Please help me out!

SLA Completion at wrong status

Hi friends ,

 

I have configured SLA for Incidents . I am facing a problem - when the Incident is put into "In Process" , the SLA Completion flag is set .

Thus the MPT stops .

 

Only the IRT should stop at this status . Any idea why this happens ?

Unable to invoke Sequence in the test package management

Hi Experts,

 

 

Today when i am working on creating test packages suddenly after selecting the node i am unable to do Sequence for the test package i tired by clciking the sequence buttton and also i tried from menu goto-->sequence. new window is not opened and also no error mesaage is also displayed.

 

can any one suggest please.

Have tried option "Load Monitoring Definitions" for the logical component ..no luck

Hi SAP Solution Manager Experts

 

    

Please can i get assistance in understanding why i am having the following issue :

 

i am setting Business Processing Monitoring for IDOC monitoring .

I am trying to define a monitor for IDOC Monitoring but i  do not see it in the list of monitors

Missing Monitors for Monitoring objects for Interfaces .jpg

 

i did some investigations and in the Set Up Guide for Interface Monitoring they mention that i need to Update the Central Application
Repository .. so i follow the guide and for some reason i can find the same path as described in the document

Urgent change with unlock tasklist

Hello everyone,

the problem occured to our customer with customizing urgent change. They want import transport request manually through tasklist, but if urgent change is in status "Authorized for Production", tasklist is still locked.

 

 

I can release transport only through action "Import Urgent Change into Production System".

 

I think it has something to do with SAP Solution Manager > Capabilities (Optional) > Change Request Management > Make Settings for Change Transaction Types.  We tried many options with action, but without success.

 

Could you somebody help me.

Unable not find the monitoring object(idoc monitoring ) in BPmon

Hello Guys,

 

     As part configuration  of IDOC monitoring in BPmon configuration ,while i am creating monitoring object for IDOC monitoring (solman_workcenter->Business process operations ->setup Business process monitoring  -->selected  the solution --> business scenarios -->

As mentioned above i could not able to find the IDOC monitoring template  in the droup down list

 

Components level on manage system:-

 

ST-PI       2008_1_710 SP 08

ST-A/PI   01Q_731 SP2

 

I have done the load monitoring definition by selecting respective local component and clicked on load monitoring definitions

Please help me on resolving the issue.

How to remove step in Incident Wizard

I have copied the standard Transaction Type SMIN to YMIN and thats fine... But i really cannot find the place to modufy the Incident Wizard?

 

I have the need to remove the "Select reference Object" because we do not want the user to fill theese fields. But how?

I can remove the Fields of the step via the CRM webClient setup, but i would like remove the step finally?!

SMDT test cases - not able to link from SM_CRM

hi experts

 

we are creating SMDT test case incidents from SM_CRM. the test packages are created from STWB_2.  if the test case failed , then we need to create the incidents relating the test case.

 

when we create incidents using the transaction type SMDT , we are not able to link the test case from " Related Test case " block .

 

we are getting the below error

the procedure followed

 

1. create the test plan by including the business process.

2. Created test packages and assigned it to the developer

3. developer made the test to " test failed "

 

Please help with solutions.
