multilevel categorization issue

hello team,

 

I have activated standard multilevel categorization schema but when i am entering the levels in the newly created incident , I am getting ANSCII letters like some unwanted letters and levels as I described

 

can you please check the attachement and please let me know the solution ASAP.

I am just looking for some help with remedy and solution manager incident management integration.


I am in process of integrating BMC remedy with SolMan, could you please help me with document of how to configure with webservice.


I am just looking at a unidirectional integration BMC->SolMan , I read the API and understood the tags in the webservice, what I am stuck at is


what configuration is needed at BMC remedy side ?

Were do I configure the webservice for Remedy and Solution Manager communication?

What would be the WSDL file ? Will it have only the tags for Solution manager webservice since I am creating ticket from Remedy?


Appreciate your help on this please.

Restrict Systems in Landscape block in Normal Change(CHARMS)

Hello SME's,

 

I got one situation.My CHARM project contains two different landscape so whenever a Normal Change is raised, In Landscape block in Change Document it is showing systems of both Landscape while in urgent change It is showing systems of one landscape.So my requirement is like I want systems of one landscape at a time in my CD so how we can control it.?

 

I require this because below is my charm landcape:

 

Charm Landscape is like  ABD100 - ABQ100 - ABP 100

                                      ABD200 - ABQ200 - ABP 200

 

So when user creates TR he is not checking whether the TR is getting created in 100 or 200 client which creates a mess so Is there any way in Normal change we can restrict the systems means only one landscape should come like 100 or 200 at a time.Please suggest some solution.

Hi Team

 

After upgrading my system to SP13 I am receiving below error for my old tickets.

 

The selected SAP component is not valid

 

I had noticed however it is for top level components which are not selectable anymore like SD etc.

 

Is their any other checks which had been introduced here.

Software update manager(SUM) getting error while upgrade Solman 7.1

Hi All,

 

i am getting an error while using SUM(software update manager) Tool in Solman 7.1 in post processing step.

 

Error :

Unable to execute the SDT request ABAP operation post-execute on hostname SAPSMD instance 00 Post-Uptime execution of the ABAP upgrade request ABAP has failed Error from unit observer Cannot execute unit post-execute, current unit is extract.

 

Please help me ..

Filling in e-mail recipients for procedure "Send Learning Map"

Send Learning Map

...

  1.  Choose the SendLearning Map pushbutton.

  2.  Choose the end user roles to which you want to send the learning map. You can restrict the selection.

  3.  Create an E-Mail in your E-Mail program with the E-Mail pushbutton.

The system copies a text template with a link to the learning map, into the clipboard. The system opens your local E-Mail program.

  4.  Copy the text template into the E-Mail.

  5.  Send the E-Mail with your E-Mail program

 

What about a filling of E-mail recipients fileld? This field is not filled in automatically, I have to fill it manually?

The list recipients of this Learning material was determined in the tab "End User Roles" in Solar02

How to send the Learning Map -- Fields cannot be selected

Hi Experts,

 

We have created Learning Map for Solution Manager user. But when are now trying to send this Learning Map to user, it does shows the page where we have the roles which we have mentioned in End user tab of configuration of project. But it does not shows the radio button or any option where in those particular roles can be selected to send the Learning Map.

 

PFB img for more reference. Can anyone let us know how we can make this option displayed and use them.

"Errors found during the last 20 runs for Extractor"

This message shows up in the self-diagnosis as a warning. However, many of these extractors run once a day, thus it takes 20+ days to clear the warning status. Is there some way to reduce the number of runs it cares about, or to clear the status?

 

Also, some of these warnings show up on extractors which are no longer active. The extractors have been deleted, but the warnings keep showing up in self-diagnosis.

BPMon on MAI - Issues

We are on Solution Manager 7.1 SP13 and I am trying to implement BPMon on MAI. For most part, it works greats and I am able to set up monitoring objects and use for Business Process Analytics as well as Alerting. However I have noticed the following issues:

 

  • Even though I have my monitors set to run only once a day, it seems they are running twice. The only way I can is if run a trend analytic on these objects, I see 2 sets of data collected right after midnight within a few seconds of each other. For backlog monitors, it doesn't matter because it only takes the most recent value. However this would be a problem in throughput monitors as the values are being aggregated. Is there a job which has been accidentally scheduled twice?

 

  • My second question is the regarding the alert notification that I receive in outlook for these objects when thresholds are crossed. In classic BPMon, there were no attachments to this email and all the alert data was in the body of the email. In MAI, the alert details are coming in an attachment in the email. I have implemented the BADI_DYN_INCI_NOTIF_MULTIPLE to change the subject and body. My question is how do I change the layout of the attachment. It has the SAP logo and title as "E2E Alert Analysis Report" which I want to change. There is a parameter in this BADI called ET_ATTACHMENTS but manipulating that seems to have no affect on the attachment.

 

  • Another problem in the notification seems to be that there is no link for "Detail List" in the email like it was in Classic BPMon.

 

  • Does anyone know which table stores the alerts in MAI? It used to be simple in classic BPMon with the table DSWP_BPM_ALERTS. I see the alert configuration is stored in ACALERTDIR but which is the table which stores the actual occurrences of these alerts with date-time stamp?

Install Solman using the latest export downloads(SPS 13)

Hi,

I am trying to install solman, but instead of the using the export media which are SPS04, I would like to use the latest export media (SPS 13)which are also available for downloads.

Is there anything special i need to do for that ? The media guide points to SPS04, so i am expecting that the installer 70SWPM will reject SPS13.

 

(Background - solman 7.1 SR1 is already isntalled, with SPS04, but instead of upgrading it, i am looking at ways to reinstall it with the new media with sps13 content.

 

Any advice will be much appreciated.

How to assign interfaces in BPMon Component View

Hi Team,

 

I stuck at interface assignment between systems.

 

Can you please help me with a step by step guide to create interface line with Icon in "BPMon Setup" screen and in "SolMan_Directory" transaction.

 

The sample pictures shown below were taken from other system. I will have to make a similar setup (circled in red) in my system.

 

When I create I am getting just line, not the Icons shown below.

 

Can anyone please help.

Charm - Virtual Systems

Hi all,

 

We are in the process of configuring and activating Charm in our Solman (7.1 SPs 12) productive system.

 

After finishing all mandatory steps and while checking Charm configuration in Tx SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN, we are getting an error with virtual systems. Seems like those systems are not being treated as virtual and an RFC check attempt is made. The error “RFC cannot be determined” is present under “Check TMS Domain”.

System have been set as “Inactive” in LMDB and defined as Virtual and Locked in their corresponding TMS domain controller. Please also check its status in Tx SMSY.

Is strange however that within the section “System overview for project”, the sub item “Check system” for this virtual system recognizes it as such.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

Question: CHARM in 7.1 SP12, Normal Change. Transports get imported only if task list's task 'Schedule Import Job for Transport Requests' executed twice

Hello Experts,

 

I'm wondering if you've ever come across the following issue:

 

in 7.1 SP12, Normal Change's  transports get imported only if task list's task 'Schedule Import Job for Transport Requests' executed twice.

 

At a first attempt to move transports Task List's log is showing 'Importing...' message , and Transports are not moving...

Other partners than Change Manager allowed to change Approval Procedure

Dear experts,

 

I have activated the enhanced approval procedure and granted the authorizations as mentioned in the blog postNew ChaRM Feature with SP 10: Enhanced Approval Procedure Functions.

 

I have a user, TEST_ANALYST, who has authorizations that give him CRM_APPRVL with activities 01, 02 and 03; plus SM_APP_AP with activity 02, which should grant him the possibility to change the approval procedure on request for changes.

 

However this user was not able to change the approval procesure.

I meanwhile found the reaction of Michael Vollmer on one of the questions of his blog post that helped me understand the issue:

My user TEST_ANALYST should be the "change manager" (renamed to Business Responsible Lead in my screenshot) to be able to change the approval procedure.

 

So I want to know: is there a way to change this behavior? I want my Analyst to be able to change the Approval Procedure too, without having to assign him as change manager. And I don't want to give him admin rights because I don't want him to approve the approval steps.

How to create an incident from URL in SolMan

Hi All,

      I'm working on ITSM tool in Solution Manager. When i'm creating a ticket from R3 screen(SAP GUI) level, it working fine. The incident getting created, assigning to support team automatically and notification is sent to the respective teams. Can anyone please tell me how to create the same from URL level? for eg. i want to create an incident from 'solman_workcenter' URL through browser?

The account password for MS Office Outlook 2010

Is there any possibility to get a working access to the account of MS Office Outlook 2010  if you lost the user password? There is a password of the administrator but if change this password, there is a dumping of the password in outlook. Windows Server 2008 OS.

SM_CRM Partner copied to a different partner

Hello experts!

We are in the middle of cutover preparation to implement 7.1 ChaRM.  We have a 2-system SolMan landscape. Validation testing was performed in the development system and was successful.  We are performing a mock cutover using the sandbox system to confirm cutover steps.
Transports were imported from the development system to sandbox to test the cutover steps. Mock cutover took place in the sandbox, however processing is not as expected.  

 

In tcode SM_CRM, in the Details assignment block, when creating a new Request for Change, business partner Change Manager is being copied to the business partner "Approver (Security only)" and then the business partner Change Manager is set to blank.

This did not occur in development system during validation testing.

 

I did open a issue with SAP, however I'm hoping one of the experts out there can answer before they can!

 

Steps to Recreate Problem

Entering the partners with no Categorization updated yet...

Selecting SAVE. Partner “Approver (only Security)” is still blank and is correct….

Then, I enter Category 1 (Business Area) and Leave other Categories blank. I do not SAVE yet.

 

Partner “Approver (only Security)” is filled with Partner Change Manager’s value and Partner Change Manager is set to blank….

Analysis

Trying to thinking of what questions you may have about the config, here is what I can think of so far....

 

Access Sequence - Partner "Approverl (only Security)" is assigned to partner function SMSO0001. It has no Access Sequence assigned.

 

BRFplus Rules -  There are rules assigned to determine partner SMSO0001 (Approver). However, the rules only determine when Category 2 (Scenario) is set, not when Category 1 (Business Area) is set.   The error takes place right after the Category 1 is filled in, so it makes me think this is the issue, but the BRF rules are not set to check for that category code. 

There is no value set when the Category is not one of these values. That worked when testing in the dev system, so I do not think that is the issue.

Partner UI Definitiions

In the UI, partner Change Manager is defined as Partner 3 and partner "Approver (only Security)" is assigned to Partner 4.

Those match the values in “Specify Partner Function Display in Transactions”...

Rule Policy for Approval Management

This rule does exist to set partner SMSO0001, but only when Category 2 is set to Emergency. When recreating the problem, Category 2 is not set yet. Only Category 1 is.

How Imports were done from Development System to Sandbox for Mock Cutover

In case it matters, here is how I imported some of the changes from Development system to the test system.

 

Categorization -  I enabled Schema Imports via RFC in IMG. Then, used the Import button in UI to import. Then re-activated.

 

Approval Procedure Rule Policy - The Approval Procedure Determination was transported from development to sandbox using tcode CRMD_ERMS_TRANS_RULE.   The resulting Transport of Copies was imported to sandbox.


 

I hope one of you can help me resolve this quickly! Let me know if you need more details on the config!!
