Lock Remains in Change Document even after closing the browser in CHaRM

Hi Experts.

 

I have implemented CHaRM in Solution Manager 7.1 SP10 . I am stuck in one issue.

 

When I am  creating /Editing a Request for change or Change document  in CHaRM. 

If user edits the RFC/Change document   and don’t log off and close the browser.  Then document is getting locked. If some other guy tries to edit the same document then it shows Document is locked the user “user Name”

 

Please help.

I wanna centralize the Alert threshold in Soltuion Manager.

I am gonna configure the threshold in each managed system using RZ21 and I would like to know if there is any transaction in solution manager that centralize the managed system alerts.

Dual landscape management with ChaRM and Retrofit functionalities

Hello,

my landscape is made up by two tracks at the moment, with the following transport routes:

 

MAINTENANCE:     ED1->EQ1->EP1

 

PROJECT:               PD1->PQ1

 

All the modifications made on the maintenance landscape are copied in PD1 using retrofit functionalities of ChaRM.

 

Now my problem is what to do when the project is finished on PQ1 and I need to transport all my modifications from PQ1 to ED1, EQ1 and EP1. I did not find any SAP document or best practice about how to manage this with ChaRM. I am thinking to modify the transport routes in this way:

 

 

MAINTENANCE: ED1->EQ1->EP1

 

PROJECT: PD1->PQ1->ED1->EQ1->EP1

 

 

I will manage for example the maintenance project using urgnt or normal correction, and I will manage the project using for example custom urgnt correction able to operate on a 5 system track landscape, or normal correction. I will activate also the cross-system object lock for the two projects since the production client is the same, EP1.

 

Do you think this solution can work? Do you think that there could be some problems with the originality of the objects since in the 5 system track there are two development systems PD1 and ED1? It is possible in this case perform the import with ChaRM using the option "Overwrite originals". Do you have suggestions about how to manage a dual landscape like this with ChaRM?

Monitoring Process Chains through Solution Manager - HANA

I am configuring Technical monitoring solution for monitoring BW Process Chains for HANA system. I am at step where i am supposed to view Process chains from Managed system ( HANA ). When i search for process chains i get the following error :

A system failure occurred while calling destination SM_SW1CLNT000_READ. Info. No authorization for user SM_PM1 in BW system . Please check note 1667071.We have implemented Note 1667071 and user SM_PM1 is assigned to this role


Here are the questions i have :

1 Why is the system calling CLNT00 where as it is supposed to call our productive client 700

2. Is there anything i am missing in configuration


We are on solution manager 7.1 SP12

Issue with related Charm documents

We have an issue where documents are not displayed for some users in Related Charm documents section. This section is populated with Charm document number if dependent document numbers option is chosen. I have checked with security and they said it is not something related to Authorizations.

 

Can you please provide your suggestions or anyone has seen this issue before?

SM_CRM Partner copied to a different partner

Hello experts!

We are in the middle of cutover preparation to implement 7.1 ChaRM.  We have a 2-system SolMan landscape. Validation testing was performed in the development system and was successful.  We are performing a mock cutover using the sandbox system to confirm cutover steps.
Transports were imported from the development system to sandbox to test the cutover steps. Mock cutover took place in the sandbox, however processing is not as expected.  

 

In tcode SM_CRM, in the Details assignment block, when creating a new Request for Change, business partner Change Manager is being copied to the business partner "Approver (Security only)" and then the business partner Change Manager is set to blank.

This did not occur in development system during validation testing.

 

I did open a issue with SAP, however I'm hoping one of the experts out there can answer before they can!

 

Steps to Recreate Problem

Entering the partners with no Categorization updated yet...

Selecting SAVE. Partner “Approver (only Security)” is still blank and is correct….

Then, I enter Category 1 (Business Area) and Leave other Categories blank. I do not SAVE yet.

 

Partner “Approver (only Security)” is filled with Partner Change Manager’s value and Partner Change Manager is set to blank….

Analysis

Trying to thinking of what questions you may have about the config, here is what I can think of so far....

 

Access Sequence - Partner "Approverl (only Security)" is assigned to partner function SMSO0001. It has no Access Sequence assigned.

 

BRFplus Rules -  There are rules assigned to determine partner SMSO0001 (Approver). However, the rules only determine when Category 2 (Scenario) is set, not when Category 1 (Business Area) is set.   The error takes place right after the Category 1 is filled in, so it makes me think this is the issue, but the BRF rules are not set to check for that category code. 

There is no value set when the Category is not one of these values. That worked when testing in the dev system, so I do not think that is the issue.

Partner UI Definitiions

In the UI, partner Change Manager is defined as Partner 3 and partner "Approver (only Security)" is assigned to Partner 4.

Those match the values in “Specify Partner Function Display in Transactions”...

Rule Policy for Approval Management

This rule does exist to set partner SMSO0001, but only when Category 2 is set to Emergency. When recreating the problem, Category 2 is not set yet. Only Category 1 is.

How Imports were done from Development System to Sandbox for Mock Cutover

In case it matters, here is how I imported some of the changes from Development system to the test system.

 

Categorization -  I enabled Schema Imports via RFC in IMG. Then, used the Import button in UI to import. Then re-activated.

 

Approval Procedure Rule Policy - The Approval Procedure Determination was transported from development to sandbox using tcode CRMD_ERMS_TRANS_RULE.   The resulting Transport of Copies was imported to sandbox.


 

I hope one of you can help me resolve this quickly! Let me know if you need more details on the config!!

SEA (Scope and Effort Analyzer) results

Hi all, our client is planning to upgrade their ECC EhP, and I have configured Scope and Effort Analyzer in Solman to get some information about the impact. I have alreay executed it against our main Project and it seems a great tool. However, I've seen that the impact analysis does not cover authorization objects. Is there any other tool or tcode we can use to analyze the impact on the roles and authrization objects?

DBACOCKPIT Compatibility with SQL Anywhere

While configuring CCLM on solution manager 7.1 ( SP12)  background jobs are failed .

we have a problem with the Extractor setup in Managed systems configuration --> configure automatically.

We are using Solution Manager 7.1 SPS10 (10/2013).

 

I get the error message:

Maybe that can evoke the error, recently we changed the installation number of the ERP system. That means, that we ´ve done the Extractor Setup 2 years ago with the old installation number. But in the error message are the new ones, so I´m not sure if if there is a casual relationship.

Solman 7.1 SP13 and SAP HANA Database SPS9 rev 96 MDC issues

Hello,

I am facing issues connecting a SAP HANA Database system to SAP Solution Manager 7.1.

I will try to explain the context and the issues :

Context :

Solution Manager 7.1 SP13 on Windows/Oracle, hostname: solman, SID : SM1

SAP HANA Database SPS 9 rev 96 on suse 11 sp3: hostname: suse11sp3, SID : ERP, with two tenant DB installed : ERP and GW1.

 

I have done the System Preparation and  the Basic Configuration of Solution Manager.

I have followed the blog : Managed System Setup of HANA in Solution Manager 7.1 by Andrea Schuhmann :

 

I have installed and updated the saphostagent on suse11sp3 : 7.20 sp 207

I have done all the configuration points for the monitoring user.

I have installed the diagnostic Agent.

I have registered the diag Agent and the hostagent in the sld (which is hosted by solman).

At this point everything is fine :

All the tests are OK :

/usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/sapdbctrl status ERP -t hdb

I have registered SAP HANA in the SLD using hdblcm with the SLDSYSTEMHOME=suse11sp3 (taken from the RZ10 of my ERP system)

 

The issues are coming now :

In the LMDB I have in the technical systems two HANA Database : ERP and GW1

When I look to ERP I have :

which seems correct but in the Software / Product Instance Tab :

No product version SAP HANA Databade appears here...

And when I try to check the technical system :

So I have tried to applied the troubleshoot tips...

First I click on More... at the technical System Level, and then I have a kind of infinite loop in solman, and the result in my IE is :

Could someone help me or point out what I doing wrong ?

We are trying to implement some development in ChaRM and I have to following request

 

- Be able to add Substatus in CharM as it is handled in ITSM.

 

I'm trying to find the best efficient way, so that is it stored and handled by the standard - if possible ?

could you please let me know what are the best practices for handling the release and sequencing of transports for an implementation type project in CHARM

 

And also please let me know if the user ignored the alert of cross system object lock,. how to handle it while releasing the transports to avoid override of the object

Hello friends,

 

We are on SOLMA 7.1 SP12.

 

 

We are running the BP Analytics Twin cube program to migrate the Analytics in Solman.

 

In BPO reporting infrastructure maintenance I have activated the TwinCubes, But while Migration infocube data the job is getting failed with below error message::

 

ERROR: No BPA Twin Cube structure found - check if BPA BI content is active

 

Already applied below notes:: 2048029

                                            2029683

 

But still the issue is same. Request your expert inputs.

We are working on solman 7.1 SP11, Since we are getting aleters in the que like ABAP instance unavailable. But when we check from the basis team , we are getting result that Instance is working fine. My question is what cousing this false alerts and what are areas we need to loo into.

Solman Configuration - Authentication of Agents

Hi ,

 

I am in the process of Configuring Solution Manager 7.1

 

Currently Stuck on System Preparation Stetp 5.4 - Set Authentication Policy for Agents.

I am unable to get the agent to connect.

 

What i have done up to this point.

 

Installed Diagnostic Agent, Host Agent and CA Wily Introscope.

Stystem Preparation:

Steps 1-4 is very straight forward., Status:GREEN

Step 5.1 - Configure Connectivity: No SAP Web Dispatcher used., Status:GREEN

Step 5.2 - Set Authentication Types for WS: Manually adjusted Authentication types, Status:GREEN

Step 5.3 - Enable Web Services: Execute ALL, Status:GREEN

Step 5.4 - Set Authentication Policy for Agents: Use Basic Authentication


ERROR:

Diagnostic Agent not Authenticating:

Goto Agent Administration= Logged on using: J2EE_ADMIN user.

- Selected SOLMAN Agent

- Pushed Credentials

- Retry Connection


ERROR:

J2EE connection user : CN=SMD_AGT,OU=SAP AGS,O=SAP,C=DE
Authentication method: certificate

Exception: com.sap.engine.services.jndi.persistent.exceptions.NoPermissionException: Exception during getInitialContext operation. Wrong security principle/credentials. [Root exception is com.sap.engine.services.security.exceptions.BaseLoginException: Cannot authenticate the user.]



Once this is done. The user: SM_INTERN_WS is locked and i need to unlock.


I have also Turned Maintenance Mode: On

Stoped The Diagnostic Agent


Executed:

smdsetup managingconf hostname:"sapms://<FQDN>" port:"8101" user:"smd_admin"pwd:"#######"


Restarted Diagnostic Agent, Checked users in Solman_Setup, Executed Step5.2 (Create Logical Ports), Give it a few minutes to propogate and tested again.


Same error keeps repeating.


I am not sure what my mistake is, I know its a user setting somewhere. Am i perhaps using the wrong user on the SMDSETUP?


JAVA UME is pointing to 001 and i am running setup from 001.


Any advise will be most welcome.


I need to get this problem resolved
